Daaaang…burst rifle/emp shotty is a crazy combo for an offensive scientist like that. I think he mentioned it a little before the 7:00 mark, but I’d feel pretty bad using a scientist and not healing anyone lol
A couple things about this vid. It is impressive that he went 20-0, but the opposing team was 3 Scientist, 1 Scout, and 1 Soldier. The dude only had to worry about one out of the five guys. Also, everyone gets really lucky games like these from time-to-time; notice how every time he runs into another player they are facing the other way, that’s entirely luck (there is just as much chance that someone could be walking towards you instead of away from you). I’m certain that anyone on this board could post a similar video if they recorded all their games until they got a good one. Oh, and no one seems to see through the guy’s Disguise, which is crazy considering there were 3 Scientist on the opposing team.
It’s due to the same reason no one ever talks on Live anymore…the party chat. That shit ruined playing with randoms, because everyone is always in a fucking party talking to friends instead of helping the team. Back in the days of Halo 2, EVERYONE used a mic, and I always had fun chatting with some random on my team while we came up with a gameplan or notified people that they were about the be shanked. I feel that there will never be a such a great community again (even in the most popular shooters right now, you can hardly find anyone with a mic that isn’t in party chat).
I don’t feel bad using offensive scientist instead of healing because I usually get the most kills that’s really all that matters. If a scientist rambos through TDM and racks up an even K/D ratio or worse then you have a reason to be pissed, which reminds me why do 95% of players in any mode suck? I know I’m good at shooters but the competition just isn’t there everyone rushes to the same choke points spamming the same stuff every respawn. I really hope people wiseup soon.

feelin the same way. my second day of playing yesterday, me and my boys went 15-0 in tdm.
now that I know the maps quite a bit, I’m not taking top kills, but I’m always somewhere dead in the middle. my 2 buds that play leader/soldier are always at the top of the charts, usually pulling around 15 kills each.
I do about half that atm, and our team scientist doesn’t give a fuck about kill count as long as we’re being healed so the other team can’t do shit. he gets no credit on the charts, but he’s literally the backbone of our team and he does a great job. Get a fucking random scientist to play heal bitch and expect results…yeah right, they’re gonna go for the scoreboards every time.
people need to stop playing the game as individuals (especially in tdm) and start working as a team so this game can evolve. random shit is never going to beat a coordinated attack in this game.
having 0-5 deaths is just as good as getting kills.

I am a “Solid Leader” buy my brother is something retarded with a scientist. Not only does he heal, but dogfights other scientist. He healed his team, and a Shockwave tried to run up on them. He realized it was a group of 5 vs. 1, so he “jets”. My brother informs his team “I GOT THIS”, takes off and literally goes into a dogfight with the guy, and use the jet missles and locks in for the kill.
So much gameplay, so little time . . . . . .
@spooty, I am on PSN, so I can’t relate with the party chat. I am in full rooms, and maybe 4 (at best) people have a mic. They just happen to be on the opposition at that . . . .
he still gets his kills, just usually not in the ballpark of what the rest of our team is doing. it’s not his priority, I should have said.
he does engage other scientists though, much like you described your bro. I’m guessing they have pretty similar playstyles.

I play an assassin style Scout. I follow a team mate, cloak, and either get the backstab on who ever is distracted fighting them or play clean up. I love making those coming out of cloak kills and then mad dashing away as their back up arrives.
drive, jump, transform, airdash, recloak… peace.
nothing pisses me off more than this. I hate how you can NEVER talk to anybody unless you’re actually in a party or anything. Worst part is you can’t ask for help, or give help. I hate having a mic and telling somebody they’re being snuck up on, and they can’t hear me cuz they either dont have a mic or are in a fucking party chat.
Is there really a point to Prime mode, aside from a little symbol next to your name or whatever?
Man I need at least one teammate on psn. Hard to depend on cats online. I mainly play leader btw.

It did a quick update when I started up the game. Guess the patch is out. I don’t know what all it fixed, but you can’t use the Tank Cannon in Robot form anymore.
Exp loss when host quits is fixed it seems.

Oh and i’m currently playing the campaign on hard. Just hit the second autobots level. Defintely enjoying it. Some of these decepticon emblems are hard to spot.
