I finished campaign last night too. I think they left themselves enough leeway to do a sequel still on Cybertron. But it would be interesting to see this game on Earth locales.
I too wouldn’t mind if they re-wrote G1 continuity a bit, and they are most welcome to re-write the movie.
Soldiers are the best though they aren’t that much better then the other classes it’s just the speed at which the damn scrapmaker kills along with how a soldier’s hp makes whirlwind a free kill.
Scientist is my favorite class though shockwave+sentry is too much fun. What’s better neuton or photon rifle? The automatic fire helps a lot but the photon’s stats are much better.
I suggest rocking an EMP Shotgun over either one of those.
yeah finally got my first block of about 4.5 hours of online tonight with some friends.
my guys were already heating up the rooms, lol. 2 of my friends were consistently getting ~15 kills a match, while I was trying to learn maps.
but yeah, 2 soldiers sticking together, a leader to buff and at least a scientist to heal is pretty hot. we don’t have a player to pick up scout yet, but when we do we’ll add that onto our team.

still have much to learn, but I’m lovin it so far.
After some playing around I’ve noticed neutron rifle definitely isn’t as good as photon rifle which is great at medium range, can snipe with at long range, and is pretty decent closeup overall it’s on of the best weapons in the game. EMP is my secondary weapon.
I really didn’t like scout because of how little hp it has and how it doesn’t have any great weapons compared to other classes however when I started playing other classes I really missed cloak:rofl: Spooty is right NEVER attack when you’re not cloaked…unless you’re just out of cloak with the damage boost.
Also WTF with scientist killstreaks? USELESS in deathmatch:mad:

Scientist Photon Rifle is beast; EMP is really good if you can keep an Overshield on. It comes to a question of playstyle/situation. If you turn a corner and see an enemy right up on your grill piece, then you’ll want the EMP in your hand instead of the Photon. If you want to pick off some guy from the safety of a group, then you’ll want that Photon Rifle.
Also, Scientist 5-killstreak is fantastic in any mode. Instant overshield (in most modes, for a whole team).

Played some escalation tonight. Level 15 Gets Crazy! If you are playing with some tacticians, its an epic mode
At level 23 the soldier gets one of those huge turrets that you can pick up in single player. You know how you fight against the tall robots that have an assload of HP and walk around with a rapid-fire turret? That’s the weapon the soldier can spawn. You first have to spawn an ammo beacon and stand next to it while a blue bar (above it) fills up. When the bar is completely full it will spawn the turret. That thing is total rape lol. Waaaaaay better than the minigun. However you still have the limitations like you do with single player: you can’t double jump, you can’t throw grenades and if you switch weapons you drop it on the ground and need to pick it up again. It’s not really good for TDM, but it’s GREAT for conquest when you want to sit back and defend a capture point. I’m fucking loving it.
Also WHERE ARE YOU GUYS GETTING INFO ABOUT A PATCH??? PC needs a patch for chat/VOIP (among other things) so badly…
The patch info is in the live ticker the scrolls above all the multiplayer menus; on Xbox at least, don’t know about PC.
Is anybody down for whatever the fire fight is on this game? I want the achievement for getting to level 15 on the xblock.
I snagged this game today, after my buddy brought it over for me to try.
Single player seems “meh” so far, but I have only played one Decepticon level.
Has anybody else had a problem with video freezing on them? Every cutscene has frozen on me, and I have to hit start to skip it

Sometimes I don’t have time to switch if I happen upon an enemy by surprise and fortunately even up close photon is decent like I said it’s the BR of TF (though nto as good) lol. On deathmatch gettig an overshield for yourself isn’t as nice as regenerating scout or other killstreaks =/.
This might be a dumb question, but how do you get to play as the Autobots in Deathmatch? Do I have to unlock them or something? Even if I choose an Autobot chassis and customize it, I only get the Decepticons in the matches.
Last night I was getting killed by this scientist…what he was doing was hovering around in jet mode, finding a prey who wasn’t paying attention…then he’d jet towards them, transform in mid air, and then EMP Shotgun them in the face, land, and shoot again or melee. I was playing soldier, so when I figured out what he was doing, I started looking for him in the open areas…once I found him, I’d just assume he’d be on his way to dive-bomb me, so I started up whirlwind and hit a scientist home run.
Other awesome moments - I was in a hairy spot between three attackers - one was standing on some boxes or something behind me. I jumped up, transformed into the tank, turned around, and blasted him dead. Also in tank mode, I got a ridiculous long distance kill against a running opponent.
Are you guys trying to level up all classes at once or just sticking to one to better learn the system? I seem to have the most success with soldier right now.
This game is awesome.
Its just random, kinda like being COG or Horde in gears of war
i am trying to level up one class at a time. I find it’s annoying when I am the lowly Soldier (level 5), and all my other classes are still untouched, then I go into multiplayer, and get raped by level 20 guys.
it would be more awesome if i had competent teammates. it sucks playing with random people who dunno how to support their team (i throw down an Ammo thingy as a soldier, and nobody stands near it)
this game has some really awesome multiplayer… i just hope it catches on and gets a bit more popular the player counts are really low.
Man I have to get this game soon. Was at my friends house today to chill and I popped in WFC to play some multiplayer. Man I’m a beast with the scientist. Last game I played I had 17-4 kill death ratio. The 7th kill streat for the scientist is beast. I spawned that giant ass cannon for my kill streak reward while I was on top of a building where no one could reach me. That cannon kills in 1 hit and the splash damage is great. I killed 3 people at once with one shot. I was going to get another 7th kill streak with it but I ran out of ammo. Oh man this game is too fun.

Other than scientists healing, a lot of players need to work more as a team.
Yea the teamwork sort of sucks right now. Usually if I see an ammo beacon I go to it to get a power upgrade. I play as a scientist strictly atm so I don’t charge into battle. I snipe people out and heal my teammates. If i see theres a lot of chaos I’ll drop my rocket turret above the action and then heal my soilders and leaders while they mow people down. Usually with good teamwork like that we will win by like 15 kills.
Probably cause no one who doesn’t talk like an ass has a mic. I like DM, but TDM is really where this game shines. You can’t really do a lot of “Master Chiefin”
