:woot:Fine…if that is your position then i’ll respect it. However let me remind you, blackheart is a VERY,VERY limited character. BH can only do so much, it is sad to say but Magneto, storm, Sentinel and even ironman are characters that have better abilities to compete in tournaments. They all beat blackheart, in almost everyway, just staying alive agaisnt them is almost an impossible task. Sure, a very skillful BH player would not have trouble with your normal JOE, or your every day scruby mVC2 player, regardless of who they are using. But the problem is when you play the top, The best in the game. That is when you can truly see blackheart ability to compete, i can’t tell you how much it pissess me off the fact that i am controlling the game from start to almost finish. then I get the game taken from me by some fucking infinite. i truly think that a character that can perform infinite can make the difference in today’s touranment game. It is as they say if you can’t beat them join them!!!
By the way i am going to ad another tourney team that looks hopeful:
Magneto/BH/sentinel(proj.)–although i mentioned this team before i highly recomend it. Mags. Doesn’t need that much assisst to give you a good lead and quickly too!! Then blackheart can just relax, and play a tight def. game. Just in case your opponent gets the better of BH, then there is Sentinel. It’s a complete game, But a good sentinel is a MUST!!! Mags. well, you can learn rather quickly it took me just about 2 weeks to get his game down. I just need to perfect it which it won’t take me too long.
Well, I would agree with you both. Either an infinite or outright killing a character DHCing from your point character to your second. Either way, your good.
Oh! i see, well i guess you like the weird sort of teams. It’s alright sometimes having something that doesn’t look like it would work might give you an advantage in tournament game.
I, every now and then wip-out my BH/CABLE/TRON B. , Many don’t see that team coming and end up loosing because they don’t know how to counter it. However, the trick lies in using this team seldomly. Cause if i star using this team normally, i am sure that someone will be able to counter it, since it’s really not that hard to do so.
ive always had trouble with mags and sent. so with sprial AND blackheart on a team, they end up getting angry and whip out the scrubs. but sprial, imo > cable. so it evens out anyway
tron + cable really can make any point man pretty good. tron by herself is just beastly. that damn assist, seriously
Actually i was checking samnang’s team, and well is not so bad…it does have it’s limits but it would be interesting to see if anyone continues that game. The player himself is pretty good but his magneto is somewhat lacking in the infinite department, hence he can’t connect cleanly from cyclop’s assisst…Just thinking if sanford and his crazy magneto would take up and start playing that team!!!..well i wonder…
Anyway, it is a good team MAGNETO/BLACKHEART/CYCLOPS. But if you are going to play that kind of game you might as well replace CYCLOPS FOR PSYLOCKE. She give magneto almost an infinite amount of possibilities, as well priority, and more speed. BH/PSY is not sobad either, it’s just that it requires a really fast blackheart, and not many people has that kind of BH.
hey guys, i’ve been MIA for a while…Anyway, it’s been a very good few weeks for me, i played against a few of the top players. I am specially content in playing against IFCyipes. Although, They guy is not the friendliest of people but he sure is insanely good at MVC2. Even though he didn’t use his team MSP, still he managed te beat the crap of a bunch of us there at CF. Although, i would have like to play Justin Wong, but when big matches are close by for him you rarely see him at CF.
Although, he still beat me a couple of times, i was still able to hold my own against him, but like most of my matches, it comes down to the wire. Even though when i played him i was on top of my game, didn't screw up once, stuck to my stratergy, and punished every opening he made. In one of the matches i hade BH/Cable and he only had a half life MAgs, but that's where he kicked it up notch, and well the rest is history!!!
Yo guys, i’m new to the whole black heart deal. I don’t know his standard jump infinite that could be done on any character, but i’ve been learning a good deal and watching the videos. Right now i’m running a Jin/Iron Man/Blackheart team (Jin has expansion, Iron Man has Projectile, Blackheart has anti-air). Just based on that info is there any tips yall can give a newbie Blackheart player? I’ve set up some pretty juicy combos despite a tad of difficulty in execution and timing but is there anything that i need to know/watch out for? I honestly hate Cable, so before anyone mentions him please don’t lol. I am not willing to add Cable to my team, thats my only stipulation with Mvc2, hes just one of those characters i don’t want to play. I think iron man is enough of a tier whore as it is. >.<
Gamegeezer, well an ironman/BH combo is not bad at all…You just need to have a good ironman game, yes meaning learning how to get your opponent into an infinite from any angle!! One of the most scariest thing, is a decent ironman!! As for the third person well you have a few options:
1- sentinel
2- doom
3- cyclops
Those three are your best choices, However if i were you, then i would stick to cyclops. Cyclops will give you that infinite edge that you need! Concerning combos, well just wtch the blackheart vids!! There are a bunch of them in youtube, Although most of them are crappy blackheart vids but some are actually decent. i’ll search youtube and put up some links later…
meh I say if you like jin/IM/BH stick with it. It’s not a tournament team though so maybe this isn’t the best thread for this. My advice to you is this… since you’re running expansion and projectile… pressure the hell out of them, using IM to chip with his beam assist. Use the jin expansion as an anti air when needed. Other than that, look up any jaminis matches you can cuz you might find a match or two of him playing BH with the jin expansion assist.
@joe doe: Thanks bud, i might run either Doom or Cyclops although i’ll take your recommendation on the cyclops and start learning him since i know very little about the guy already (i play doom in another team of mine). The only thing about the blackheart vids is the quality of the videos and the fact that they don’t explain wtf is going on. Now granted all of us have been playing mvc2 long enough to know every button and whats going on, its tough to tell whether HP or HK demons are being used in a blurry blackheart vid. I mean they are good for being there and seeing with my own eyes, but i just can’t get all of it.
@blackheartking: Thanks man, i know it’s not the standard tournament team but jin is one of my strong characters and i thought he’d be great to add to an already power house team. Plus with his expansion, like you said its a great anti-air and great way to take pressure off of you. I tried to setup a team that could take out guys who run mag/storm/high flying fast mutha fucka teams. On top of that i don’t want to assist and guess when to super (what i mean by that is if normally people have lets say an psylocke anti-air assist, they are trying to assist in psylocke so they can super, but if you miss well there isn’t enough time to figure out whether you hit or miss and still be able to super quick enough). With jin i got a few seconds to figure if his hits landed or not and he keeps them airborne for a brief moment, brief enough for me to do something with it (whether it be launcher or super or w/e). I notice its hard to play any kind of blackheart team and win (at least from what i saw of the youtube videos) because i don’t see any real SOLID wins. I might be missing a lot of vids where blackheart is rapin teams, hopefully. As for jaminis i think i’ll need to do a more better search seeing as how i can’t locate him on youtube. Thanks for the recommendation though, i got a money match coming in the future (newcomer vs newcomer type deal) so i want to pull out something people don’t see everyday aside from my dan/strider/sabretooth team. Hopefully i can make this a tournament team, if not i’ll substitute Jin for Cyclops permanently or Doom. I’ll start practicing the normal Blackheart infinite today. Thanks a bunch BHK. go to zachd’s website and type jaminis into the search. I think he has the best BH/Jin combination I’ve seen. His BH/Tron is good too.
I have some stuff on youtube for blackheart if you want to see some ways to use him. Just type in Ibostyle11 and there’s a bunch of vids. I’m also in the process of making a blackheart tutorial vid b/c I’m well aware of how blurry the stuff on youtube is. It’s just a matter of getting the stuff recorded with a capture card.
Man you really are the blackheartking, shit i was watching the vid where you infinite from launch, and FUCK…i tried that shit a couple of times and couldn’t even get the first two hits right at all. But after watching another one of your vids, i think the infinite reset from infinite i figured out how to do the infinite with blackheart which is just fucking sick no matter how many times i do it, it’s so much fucking fun to spit that shit out. But i learned an alternatve method of going to infinite from Jin’s expansion assist so i don’t think i’ll have to pick up cyclops after all (although i might try him out since its always good to have options) seeing as how i can use jin in the same manner as clops. But man, i fucking love your vids, you have a video for the coolest BH shit, even more so than lovepig (who rox too). That dan/BH though, good lord i wanna run that one day I am gonna check out Jaminis on zachd then, that was actually the next place i was going to look >.< Any tips on landing the infinite from launcher? I’m not too sure about my timing on that one. All i know is i gotta do FP then FK in the air but i’m either going too slow or too fast. But yeah, you’ll see Jin/IM/BH in tournaments soon, just watch me =)
