All this talk of Kuroda’s inhuman abilities have finally been proven. All the hype, the jokes, the expectations have been met. This was a great SBO. Can’t wait for the vids.
He just needs to cut down a little on the showing off, and he could easily be the best Gouki in Japan.
He could have cost the SBO title just so he could look flashy chip-killing K.
Practicality is everything in high-stakes matches, leave the flash for when you’ve clinched the win.
wow kurodaaaaaaaaaa!! :woot: DVDs this time is a MUST.
anyone have a link to where the dvd’s will be sold?
I just keep checking back here.

I have 06 and 07 3S.definitely worth it.I can’t wait for 08.Any word when they’ll be released?
He’s not flashy in the negative sens of this word. All his “wtf?” tricks are just the best way to maximize damage/stun without meter.
For us, it seems as risky as kara palms at high levels but, if you want damages and are confident on your skills (and he is), these are the right choices.
Practicality, as you said, is just a matter of confident.
And KKZ for chip damage, again, it’s the best option (in the game?) to chip someone: first hit is not parriable, only option is to red parry, which is quite hard cause waves are really close. Not to mention the absolute inviciblity of that shit (except against Makoto headbutt for some odd reason).
IMO and as far as i can judge over the few videos i saw, he is the best Gouki…
So what was the winning team in UM??? And who won GG???
there is a way out of KKZ at point blank, but i’m not sure if the chun new about it or if the situation wasn’t the correct distance for the escape method…i’d have to see the video again to be sure…maybe i can get ryan to make a video of how to get out of that stuff
Dogura (RO), N-O (VE), and Efute (MA).
what was used to make the brackets on the first page? looks a lot better then tournament maker.
Agreed.
i believe 12/25/08
Jump at the right time can save you but it’s hard cause you have to perfectly jump over the waves.
Easier with Gouki cause you can SA1 in air to stay away.
Good point about red parrying is that you have to do only one low parry if you’re at point blank. ((for Gouki at least)
Except he’s almost always on the “best” team each year.
read forgenjuro’s log if you wanna hear about finals on day 2
Krauser/Iori/EX Geese
With such a competitive environment, it’s rare to have the best team for each big tournament win 1st.
well, the manner of how KO’s team gets eliminated is almost the same.
he’ll go first, and OCV a few teams, before he reaches a certain team. he’ll take out two of them, then the last guy reverse OCVs KO’s team. happened at SBO2, SBO4, SBO5.
SBO1 they got OCVed by Izu, SBO3 he got 2nd (his highest placing) losing to Nuki/Daigo, and of couse this SBO they got OCVed.
wow… there were some monsterous matchups in ST and 3s. The DVD must be mine.
I’m not very knowledgeable about 3S so maybe my opponent just timed it wrong, but I escaped an okizeme KKZ with a wakeup reversal teleport in an Akuma mirror match. I think it was against Manji187, two days ago on GGPO, and the dude can vouch for me that it happened. Is Akuma’s teleport glide invincible on the first frame?
