To add to this, the closest he got was 2nd place, forget the year (maybe '05).
It was 2-on-2, and his partner was Kokujin…too bad that they had to go against Nuki/Daigo in the finals.

yeah not to mention KO lost to hayao, and kokujin carried him.
he’s the king of ranbats/other tournies but he can’t get an SBO. maybe he chokes too much?
he doesn’t choke, dude won evo 2x against daigo. it is truly a curse!
KO just triggers a domino effect when he goes first and loses :sad: it’s so damn random. He comes in with a really strong team and he takes out two members yet they all get taken out by the last person…J, MOV, Rikimaru and Saru or whoever played for them first. Quite the mystery.
man i was rooting for team kansai so hard. chinta’s ken is ill as hell. their chun was also no joke that bitch was dangerous!
sbo was fun! glad i only went one day though. got everything i wanted out of it. ggs to all foreign players competing.

Daryl is the only MuffinMan, afaik. He’s really good at CvS2 (roll-cancelling everything), and occasionally plays 3S, but I guess he plays other games too. I only saw Evil Elvis recently in some matches, and he did the commentary once at ffa, iirc 
I probably won’t have access to the internet for 4-5 days so I ask mods to update my first post to fill in the blanks as details come.
Anyone have the MB and GG results? Did Ogawa win it again? Shounen, Woshige, Ruu looks too stacked this year.
I don’t see what the mystery is with KO and the KO curse. It’s a single elimination tournament with the best players from all over Japan.
Anyone can have one bad game, and you only get one shot per year.
Apparently, there were a lot of OCVs this time. Ogawa’s team gets eliminated by Maruken’s team. Shounen’s team loses first round to Koichi’s team. The team that won it all was N-O/Dogura/Efute with Efute(May) OCVing En/Mugen/LimeKey in the finals.
Yeah, that’s how I feel too. Boss has had his share of disappointments at SBO too.
HOw did En’s team make it to the finals? I don’t think that team has what it takes to win against a lot of the other teams, so I’m assuming they faced team china or the last chance qualifiers at some point for an easier road to the finals?

Well I’m bummed out. USA teams once again get fucking rocked. And Watson/Cole who had the best chance of doing well didn’t go. No idea who Muffin Man or Evil Elvis are but I’m sure they got buttraped.
Maybe next year the qualifiers will actually be held on the controls that you play on at SBO? You know, so the qualifiers actually mean something? Hopefully. At least we’ll have SF4 and TvC, so the field is wide open for those games.
