FFA has HSF2 on h2h so it’s a possibility… nobody really plays that game from what I’ve seen though. And horrah for MB:AC!!
Some would say '98 is the best KOF to date, yet isn’t there a lot of bullshit in it as well? Judging from high level play it’s gonna be fun though.
I always thought that at first AE was a great idea to do in the first place (once you look past the milking and whatnot), it just sucks that characters aren’t what they are supposed to be (O. Sagat). If everyone was “Series-Specific” perfect it’d be gravy IMO. Shit, I’d be going as far as giving WW Guile his handcuffs back, so we can ban him in response anyways. Since I’m a more of a HF player than a ST player, I’ll have to be the few that gives AE the thumbs up. I’m definitely waiting to see if there will be a banlist, and who Team USA (hopefully) will be.
Certain USA top players were very angry at TZ when they found out there was no qualifier for them for DR last year. I hope USA makes it in there this time.
Hell yes 3S is back. I only wonder what’ll happen to foreign qualifiers. Due to getting globally OCV’ed by Japan, won’t that hurt in getting spots in this year? I expect at least USA to come back, and do some damage this time.
TGA to host Tekken Tougeki / SBO qualifiers in 2007. (This is from August, heh).
I’m nearly certain TGA and FFA are also running 3S qualifiers, but I can not find an official statement regarding that (just that they are hosting the US SBO qualifiers in whatever games).
the only real BS in '98 is fightable, everyone can win in that game. top tier is I think Saisyu, O.Chris, Daimon and Heavy D but they have equally bad matchups like everyone else, for instance O.Chris has slow startup on a lot of his moves and can have a hard time getting in, and I’ve seen some really beastly Clarks own up Saisyu and Heavy D for free

thats not really the top tier, outside Daimon, but imo it just goes to show you that the top tier in the game isnt really that bad, because the entire roster of chars in 98 gets play basically, top tier (imo) is something more like daimon, iori, perhaps o. yashiro and theres a large 2nd tier of chars after that like regular chris, benimaru, athena, kyo, takuma, etc etc the list goes on and on. the only char i think is kinda useless is king beacuse this is before she had her godlike command throw from 99-00 but everyone can basically be used.
Rengoku: yea, i agree with what youre saying, but xi isnt played worldwide like 98 and 2k2 (well, more 2k2 than 98.) I guess that’s partially due to the reason that the board isn’t so easy to bootleg 
but if you ask me, 98 has stood the test of time, almost comparable to Super Turbo (been out for almost 9 years, 1 year newer than 3s.)
an dbtw after raeding this announcement i just saw some arcana hearts vids, game lookes FUN as hell with the huggeeeeeee open ended arenas, id love to play some shit like that…too abd usa and the rest of the world can do nothing more than watch match vids for the game right now.

This is ridiculous. The games are played that way because the balance is skewed. The best players are always going to use the options that give them the best chances of winning, and if that makes for a boring game, that’s the game’s fault, not the players’.
I don’t want to jynx anything but I’m looking forward to putting 2 long years of being in the dojo for MB to use and repping us. I hope japan gives us a qual.
