The games of Tohgeki 2007 are finally announced. Qualifier locations and dates will be announced in February 2007, and qualifiers will run from April to June. The final event will be held during the summer.
The games list:
Arcana Heart (1v1)
Guilty Gear: Accent Core (3v3)
King of Fighters '98 (1v1)
Street Fighter III: Third Strike (3v3)
Soul Calibur 3 (1v1)
Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection (3v3)
Hyper Street Fighter 2 (2v2)
Virtua Fighter 5 (3v3)
Melty Blood: Act Cadenza ver.B (2v2)
Surprises:
MB:AC ver.B not being 3 on 3 this year, given its popularity in Japan.
SC3 making it at all, given its lack of popularity (and being told by someone close to the SBO staff that this game wasn’t going to be added, heh).
HSF2?!? KoF98?!?!? WTF?
Please remember that there are US teams currently scheduled for SF3:3S and T5:DR, with other games (HSF2? SC3? MB:AC???) a possibility.
I haven’t seen Arcana Heart, should be good to check out… so will KOF98. I just hope they put more VF5 matches on than they have with the VF4:FT from the last 2 series of DVD’s
Waitwaitwaitwait…KOF NINETY EIGHT?! What happened to KOFXI? Also, the VF5 and T5 DR tourney is definitely gonna be fun to watch. And of course, 3S, just because.
I dont see why there shouldnt be! US beat Japans butt in AE at Evo but the word is there best players werent there or something like that shrugs
To me that would be common courtesy to let the US get at least 2 spots!
Pretty cool to see 98 there, it would be nice if the US got a spot in that too. Im more than certain if ChinaTown Fair KOF 98 heads knew about this they would mop for free!
