I been busy with my day job so I haven’t been on to update…

  1. i am working with my builder on the version 3 design, the general idea (bigger box, etc) are going to be ok, just need to sort out the actual dimensions so we maximize the use of the raw materials…

  2. the cost of the new box will be slightly higher to cover the cost and labor of the bottom plexi… i guess we need to go up to about $100 CAD (old cost was $80)

  3. shipping cost should be about the same as version 2

  4. once I tally up the # of version 2 and # of version 3, it might mean i have to do a run of version 2 first before version 3 is out

  5. guys who finish their version 1 / 2 can you post more pics? i would love to see them

  6. shipping cost to Australia is high… let me try to find some alternatives

how easy is it to drill holes on plexi? maybe you can pre-drill the bottom with 4 holes, a suggestion for version 3.

usb option still $12 but with 15 feet extension… i found that with 10 feet people still trip over the cord… >_<

i am aiming for 2-3 weeks, but as always i don’t rush so i get good quality boxes every time

  1. i been toying with the idea to move the 3 ps3/select/start button to the top of the stick… any feedback?

PS: Btw putting buttons on the panel is really bad idea. I hate it when I accidentally pressed Start button when I have 1% hp against Seth’s incoming sonic boom/teleporting-.-:looney:

I prefer the cleaner look with buttons on the back or side. buttons on top means i have to cut out 3 more holes in the artwork, no good.

Hey Joe, I’m glad you’ve decided not to put the start/back/menu buttons on the top. One suggestion I do have for the version 3 box is that you address the issue with the buttons not being exactly like the TE layout. The bottom row of buttons should be slightly shifted to the left. Other than that your box is my favorite and i cant wait to see what you do with the version 3.

OK, I am getting bored of all the orders ;p so I will add an update to my xb360 custom.

The stick is now dual modded mc-cthulhu with an official xb360. Thanks to toodles for creating such a godly device.
Added a common ground harness: thanks to benaco … prolly easier with a madcatz + inverter hack. But hey this is what I had on hand ;p

IT was very difficult getting everything in there but it all fit. Can’t wait until Joe comes out with the bigger box.

No IMP, NO switch … just 2 usb: 1 for ps3, 1 for xb360. Plus gamecube, ps2/ps2, xbox cable

So the last question? Do I buy an unsightly door handle for cable management? Any suggestions ?

^^ nah dont buy the handle coz it makes your stick looks ugly…maybe you should try using retractable cords or something

Edit: Oh yea whats the hole size for USB plug anyway.

Another suggestion for version 3, make it thinner!

Whats the common ground harness for? I thought your controller was already CG ?
