TN Thread: Now hiring managers and shift leaders

Commentator breakdown:

James Chen - Doesn’t talk fast enough. He’ll spend 10 minutes trying to explain something that happened 30 seconds ago. Sometimes talks too much. As a longtime member of the fg community, he does have interesting insight on players I’ve never seen or heard of before.

Skisonic - I like his MvC2 commentary, but his commentary for other games is lacking. Although rare, he also has a tendency to berate bad players.

UltraDavid - Kind of boring, but like Chen, he can give useful information on other oldschool players.

Yipes - He’s fun, and some of the things he comes up with is hilarious. Some people hate his style of commentating though.

Seth - Everything Jason said above. He’s the most professional commentator.

Seth is definitely the best commentator by far, he’s just a badass. Chen is very knowledgeable but I agree he kind of rambles, and I do like UltraDavid, he just presents a decent down to earth commentary I feel, and doesn’t act retarded, which is a plus.

Best commentators (in no order):
Seth Killian
James Chen
Me
Patrick Farr
Andrew Glasscock

The Red Roof at SB isn’t -that- bad. I was personally fine. It wasn’t great or anything, but I felt like taking a shower, or laying in bed wasn’t giving me a disease. Its also close, and we didn’t get robbed. I personally plan to keep everything I own in the hotel room, and not in the car this year though.

You’re right about Viper, Jason. I’ve been talking about for a long time about how cheap that character is. Seriously, all of her bad match-ups just keep getting easier and she just stays the same, and her mix-ups and damage can just really never been completely stopped. Once you are even decent with her you can just run through 8 out of 10 players doing nothing. I wish she wasn’t so incredibly good, because I don’t like playing her. She’s one of the most boring characters.

what’s up with the stream?

It died.

Hotel Interwebz

and yes, I love to mash

Ultradavid keeps Chen in check*. *I like commentary period, because I hate silence.

Blazblue is obviously pronounced “Blazeblue?” Please explain this. There is no indication that the first a should be a long vowel. Maybe James Chen said it “wrong” on purpose? :stuck_out_tongue: Maybe if you want people to say the name write you should translate it to English correctly? Anyways, it’s a silly thing to complain about when nearly everyone murder the english language on a daily basis.

That blow up. Literally.

Some 8 year old kid just owned face with Hulk/Sent.

Then Mike Ross and DR Ray play, go 1-1, Ray makes a huge comeback in the last match with Deadpool and a pixel of life against Mike Ross’s entire team, but kills himself with teleport before sealing the deal -_-

Noah he da best

Not really though

“Hey Astaroth. An 8 year old can use Hulk and Wesker. HA!”

I expect to hear this soon.

I do want to say this though. It is sad how many people let Hulk use H,S on block UNPUNISHED! Mashing pushblock is not always the best option, and this 8 year old is proving it.

I’m waiting to hear it from Naimat.

Evo gathering turned to beer pong. Alcoholism, you never cease to amaze!

Amurrkah!!

haha no way man. i dont even play the game anymore but I know those two characters take more skill to be good with as oppossed to what that kid was doing. For crying out loud the kid was just spamming H/S like mad and people werent doing anything about it besides getting hit by it, and the crowd was going nuts.

So Justin Wong loved Skullgirls. Guess that’s good news for me, since that increases the odds of it taking off.

Interesting. I didn’t expect him to pick that game up.

I mean, Mike Z did want it to be a some what spiritual successor to MvC2, ircc.
