TN Thread: Now hiring managers and shift leaders

Lol Crystal, thanks for the support!

Yes, Chris is running it again and it will be at Momos and they are switching to Xbox 360. He told me next year he was probably switching to a new venue though. He is announcing after EVO but they dates are Oct 14-16. They have some new announcements too but I couldn’t get that out of him. LOL! As for the hotel…hmmm if you are saying that and no offense but guys don’t usually care where they stay then I definitely think I will look for somewhere else.

Congrats to Cody and I agree about CJ Jason. The first thing I said was he didn’t know that matchup but I am proud of him for getting so far. I wish we could have gone. I would have loved to have seen how far Josh would have gotten. :frowning:

• Everyone has mashable attacks in UMvC3, meaning that you can mash the buttons to do more damage.

Whatup storm

I read that, and I instantly hated it. I hated the mashing in MvC2…

Agreed… that’s a stupid mechanic. If you can even call it that.

I think the idea is dumb too, but I don’t imagine how mashing will make much of a difference if the supers are used at the conclusion of long combos due to damage scaling.

I like how Keits and Skisonic are flipping out on some guy for not DHC glitching from Mags to Wolvie despite Wolvie already having Berserker Charge active. I hate Skisonic on commentary.

Skisonic is a functional retard.

PHOOOOEEEEEEENIIIIIX!!!

Loooooooool

Color editor in KoFXIII. Just shit mah pants.

Did Chen just say “Blahzbloo” ???

Seriously? Who the fuck does not know how it’s pronounced by now???

Isn’t the DS version actually called “Blayze Bloo?”

I happen to like Ski a great deal. He’s always been super cool, and every time we were on a smoke break at EVO and FR last year he always came up and talked to me. All around good guy, and smarter than people give him credit for.

They even pronounce the name of the game multiple times during the “Teach Me, Ms Litchi” segments of both CT and CS. I think some people just WANT to pronounce it incorrectly because they probably think the name is stupid.

There’s a KoF scene here. Here we go. Time to start rocking at a game Nashville sucks at so I can come and beat some ass for once.

You’ll have to get through me! and uh… yup.

People who don’t play it, and likely don’t care about it, I would assume.

I don’t play it but I make it a point to
pronounce everything correctly, whether or not I like it. It’s just respectful.

If you pay even a remote amount of attention to any majors, you’ll have heard the correct pronunciation several, several times. And for someone who commentates to mispronounce any of the games at a major like this, is just kind of lame.

I couldn’t care less about the game itself anymore, but it’s always been a pet peeve when people mispronounce something that they should know by now, or should be relatively obvious on HOW to pronounce it. Especially if they’re helping run one of the tournaments, regardless if it’s that specific game.

Some Blazblue players still call Tager “Tagger.”

I played KOF 98 and 2002 and 2003 and SVC Chaos quite a bit as well as CVS1 and 2 so I’m sure that will be close to the same thing with KOFXIII; I mean, old shit worked for me in SF4 =P

Skisonic is there for the “hype” commentary; it’s all relative on how everyone thinks everyone is with commentary…some people are intentionally funny, some people are over the top, some people are unintentionally funny; not everyone is happy with all the commentary that people do, no one is perfect.

Personally the ONLY commentary I like is professional style and Seth is the only one who has that spot on. Even with things he doesn’t know about the game he knows how to mask it during the commentary and he keeps the emotion and pressure in the match well played with the subtle changes in his voice during the commentary, but I really don’t like how everyone else does it…

The issue also with commentary is you need to KNOW all the players or if you don’t you need to have the person filtering them through the stream get you bits and info about them…the Dominican Fei Long player beating PR Balrog on his trip to Puerto Rico was a very good tidbit that was added for viewers that had no idea what he was capable of in terms of skill, but that is a perfect example of the professionalism of Seth that was added to the standard commentary…
