Everyone here knows Gabe is either the worst or second worst in all of these games. Plenty of you have seen vids of his play or heard the rest of us talking about it. Getting excited about MMing him is ridiculous outside of the Richard v Gabe thing which has been “on the books” for ever and is actually funny including the shoes match.

If you’re talking about me, than this is pretty much just a straw man. If gabe doesn’t want to money match me, then that’s fine, but he kind of put a target on his back with his image on here (which is probably the reason for the excitement), now don’t get me wrong, I want to play with gabe, money match or not. I for one have never seen him play, so I just asked for a money match simply because of the way he represents himself on here.

So I get to meet a bunch of random TNA wrestlers tomorrow, like Mickie James, Kurt Angle and Hulk Hogan. How this happened, I’ll never know.
I got to go to some backstage things when I worked at Tips & Tricks…I remember getting to meet Stacey Kiebler (sp?) and that big guy that was a pro wrestler that went to MMA and was undefeated until recently (also was a college wrestler, looks gigantic…I think he was on the cover of Smackdown 2008 or something)

I think the only other sports celebrities I met on these weird events were Antoine Walker, Shaq, and Derek Jeter (who I asked if he would let the Red Sox win for once; this was back in 2003 during Spring Training the year of the Game 7 wtf Yankees 11th inning madness)
I worked there for 8 years as a Senior Editor writing strategy guides and doing Select Game Previews, Tournament Report, and managing an Arcade hi-score section (short lived) but Tournament Report has a lot of articles in it covering the fighting game community…at one point we really were the only magazine promoting events, we even had a calendar for all majors and minor tournaments, essentially free advertising…after that I worked at NubyTech and Pelican (now PDP) making arcade sticks and controllers and various other weird peripherals…I can’t believe it’s been that long that I’ve been away from the magazine though, I stopped working there 7 years ago…

Aight Josh, lets get real here man. You want to Money Match me because you figure I am easy money. And thats fine. But don’t say you want to MM me because of the way I represent myself here. That is not true homie. In fact I have stopped issuing MM challenges. The MM I participated in Wednesday was a challenge issued to me that I accepted.
I mean, I just find it odd that we have four solid players here in Memphis that can play just about every game played here in the state, and out of those four, two of them LOVE money matches (Majin and Shin). Yet when they roll through and challenges are issued, silence befalls the thread. Marcus comes in here and challenges Pat and he only has $10 to do a match. If that I had been me, any amount I mentioned would have been agreed to because “Im g’teed” paying up.
And PLEASE read Josh and Sev’s post again for some more real talk. lol
But yea Josh I don’t see the benefit of you playing me outside of getting paid but I tell you what, since you seem so eager to MM me, I will play you in either SF4 or SF x Tekken. You choose and you can pick any character you want. Get paid kid, get paid.
