you guys know anything about the gouken match up? im clueless about it

Hey Guys, Thought I would drop in here for some match up knowledge and just wanted to drop a question or two in terms of the characters I really struggle with, it’s a bit of a read but do help me as I really do want to get awesome with Sagat.
These character I feel almost helpless against them, I’ve numbered my own personal feelings of the match up, so please don’t flame me to hard if I’m incorrect.
Abel 6/4
I find it hard keeping Abel out, once he gets in, he just won’t GTFO I also find it quite hard to avoid the TT, once he has Ultra I literally stop throwing fireballs.
Akuma 7/3
Akuma kicked my ass so bad, I’ve picked him up as my 2nd just to find out what his weaknesses are, His vortex is nasty when he gets a hard knockdown on Sagat and I feel he can keep up with the fireball game, plus his mobility helps as well.
Cammy 6/4
Cammy is a tough one, her move set seems to just get around fireballs so easily and he frame traps and mix ups are really tough to deal with, even the most simple Cammy brutalises me.
C.Viper 7/3
Viper seems to me at least one of Sagat’s worst match ups, I might as well put the controller down when I fight her, I don’t come across many Viper’s online, and when I do and ask for some match up knowledge, they give me some elitist attitude and no want to play me.
Dhalsim 6/4
Dhalsim is a bit of a ass for me, he is just so god damn annoying to fight, his fireballs may not be amazing but they hold up well when getting in a fireball war with Sagat, It’s not to hard once you chase him down but man that is easier said then done.
Fei Long 5.5/4.5
Fei I wouldn’t say is a 7/3 or 6/4 I’d say more 5.5 in his Fei, his normals are so good and his Rekka’s, I feel he can just punish me off one bad fireball and basically rekka me into the corner and just abuse me, I feel I have to work harder to zone him out compared to how easy he can get in.
Ibuki 7/3
Ibuki when she knocks you down is like one of the cheapest characters in the game lol, her vortex is stupid and she can get past projectiles so easily its not even funny, doesn’t help with Sagat’s giant ass hit box, he gets hit with everything! I’m scared to throw Low Tigers since the recovery on them is dick and she can just slide under then anyway.
Bison 6/4
Basically when Bison has me corned, I feel helpless as shit, his wheel kick pressure is so damn good and his Heavy Kick is frustrating to deal with, Mid screen I handle him but I think he can corner me so easily, How do you keep him midscreen?
Seth 7/3
I hate this guy so much I actually wanted to throw my controller at the wall in frustration (Haven’t done that since I was 6), is there a tool he doesn’t have? Decent Fireballs? Check, A Very good DP? Check, Teleports? Check, Command Grab? Check A Ultra and Super that punish Fireballs fullscreen? Check! Seriously How do you fight this guy? It’s all good when its just a fireball fight but the moment Seth has had enough and rushes my shit down its over, his mix ups are disgusting and infuriating.

LOL @ AKUMA BEING 7-3 sorry but some of those matchup ratings are really far off the mark. And dhalsim sagat is def not even. bison is not 6-4 either imo bison is even or 5.5 for the right bison we have one in melbourne who is godlike against sagat me and him go back and forth atm hes beating me a little more but for a while i had the edge . a matchup being 7-3 is a huge call . When ppl talk about matchups being bad or good before you post i think you need to watch high level sagats in the matchups your having problems with. Not just that sit in training mode and try out all the situation and find counters for them. the one thing about bad matchups is you need that extra little technologies to win a piece of extra info can swing the match and make you win it.

yeah dj can be tough but i think dj sagat is 5-5 i vsd a really good one at evo he had me on 2-0 in a side tourney which was first to 3 then i adjusted to him cos we dont have heaps of dj’s i asked him what he thought the matchup was and he said he feels its 5-5 hard if you get cornered and gotta be careful with tshots against dj once he has no meter its safe to attack otherwise u gotta bait out the ex moves. but this dj player was really strong but i was just playing super solid cos just minutes b4 that i played with ryan harts ryu in super cos we didnt have ae on that console i won a couple matches against him but he’s fuckin super solid such a good understanding of spacing that guy
What about Seth Heavy? He pisses me off so much and online there seems to be loads of them creeping up out of the freaking wood work? I’m ok fighting him by just keeping him out but once he has been hit a few times and gets Super or Ultra 1, I’m literally scared to throw a Tiger Shot since he can punish that full screen.
His general mix ups are overwhelming after a while, he knocks me down and he either SPD’s me when I think he is going to grab, when I go to tech, I get DP, I back dash and I either get OS Spin Kick or Cr.Heavy or when I try to wake up DP, His EX DP just blows through and I’m frothing at the mouth at this point in pure rage lol.
seth can be a headache i dont think the matchup is in either characters favor . one thing i can say is if you can keep seth out thats half the fight. you need to understand seths options . your better off getting dp by him then eating an spd as spd gives him great opportunity for setups. and if your gonna jump dont back jump spd neutral jump it u get the full punish that way with seth you gotta make him bleed whenever you make the right read if you do this the seth player will start to think twice and thats when you have the match easier said then done. im by no means an expert at the matchup but did pretty good against poongko in the salty suit after evo i mm him first to 3 and lost in the final round. unfortunately i havent been able to find footage of that match is was being streamed live though. also meter is super important against seth you need ex dp to sometimes challenge his mixup or dp or spd . ultra 1 and 2 are both viable ultra is for turtle seths and u1 for rushdown seths thats how i approach it but either ultra is useful . one thing to note b4 i forget is if you block his stand hard punch from mid range or slightly inside u can u2 or kara dp punish it.(i know this doesnt happen so much but hey if they do then at least you know) i just actually tried out an idea i had. if the seth dp’s cancels then goes for spd or dp you can avoid both options by performing a forward jump this results in both whiffing and u get out and can punish with kara dp or ultra . test it out. he cant do anything to you unless he does nothing and reacts and the worst that can happen is he anti airs you but at least your reset well he could ultra but i doubt a seth player is gonna uppercut cancel and wait for you to jump forward haha. hope that info can help you out.

That is actually sick, I’m gunna have to try that out with one of my mates who uses Seth, that is what usually what screws me up most of the time when he cancel’s his DP its the mix up after that cost’s me the match! I wish he still had 750 HP and Stun 
When Seth just turtles, I don’t find him difficult since he gets beat out by Sagat with the zoning, its the rush down that makes me cower in the corner but thanks for the tips dude! Much appreciated 
np problem man. just word of advice dont get predictable with it cos if they read it u can get ultra if they are quick use it in crucial situations where u can hurt them alot. i wouldn’t due that always sometimes dping them using ex or backdashing isnt bad either but yeah see how u go just dont use it always .
My sagato homies i need an answer and i need it fast… I’m not to educated on the gen matchup played a few but only vsd one good one which i just scraped through against in a money match at evo. i know sagats supposed to have the edge and the general vibe is to keep him out but can anyone help i have a major tourney this weekend where a top gen is going to be attending from singapore.

If you manage to not get damaged from footsie/TS game with Gen, 10/10 Gen players no matter how pro they are, will surely jump-in. You just have to be on point with SRKing Gen’s jump.
Watch his stance, if he goes to crane stance then he gets that anoying kof hop which will catch any fireball u toss from mid screen. Watch his neutral jumps, most definetely u will need to fuzzyguard because of his anoying double j.hk kick. Punish his sweep with uppercut , c.lp xx and also his c.lk which looks like a fag sticking out his thumbnail. Focus attack is nice to use once in a while incase he gets s.mk happy, but beware once he notices you abusing it he will s.mk cancel into hands. Any knockdown he gets if u see him walljump to your side of the screen, wakeup defending crossup while at the same time pressing standing jab, it will catch him if he doesn’t crossup and u will defend crossup if he does.
Dont be afraid to fireball once in a while, just as i said watch his stance because of his kof hop.
Beware since gen’s like to wakeup backdash alot, get your os down so he knows he cant get away with that shit. Only c.hp OS will catch his backdash.
Once he has super, no fireballs , no jumping. Beware of fucking u2, it will catch you fullscreen if your fireball strenght is above lk
Hes an anoying character, his footsies are better then yours and he can close distance pretty fast, your s.mk is probably the best tool you have up close.
And i don’t think that this matchup is favorable for sagat.
