Tiers for non-fighting games?

I figured my team would be Shepard, Tali, and Garrus. I’ve always loved Tali, and Wrex…not so much.

Be sure to buff up your Barrier skill then… Tali and Garrus aren’t the best at taking damage.

I buff the dogshit out of it anyways. Tali takes damage really well if you tailor her correctly.

prolly hammerdin or smite

Anyone have tiers for Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlord and Revenge of the Plague Lord? I haven’t had time to try out all of the expansion classes, but I know the Warrior the Warrior was the best class without the expansion.

Top
Joey

High
Gunther
Ross

Mid-low
Chandlier
Phoebe
Monica

Bottom
Rachel

:wtf: No way is Ross high tier. I also question Chandler being mid-low.

Alright, so, progress report. I love Liara to death, but the poor dear just can’t seem to stop dying. I also can’t seem to pinpoint exactly what it is she does in combat. If my current lineup is Vanguard(soon to be Shock Trooper) Shepard and a totally pimp-ass Garrus Vakarian(love this motherfucker), who would be the best third party member?

Unfortunately the squad AI sucks a big one when it comes to using techs and biotics. Liara can be good, but you have to manually use her biotics.

Hard to say for your 3rd member because Shock Troopers make decent tanks and Garrus is good at long range so ideally you’ll want something in between. Wrex or Ashley would be good if you give them assault rifles or Liara/Tali if you don’t mind manually targeting all their spells. Up to you.

I’ll give Wrex a whirl. See if he does okay on his own.

Not sure if this has aready been done before, but. . . DKC Animal Buddy Tiers!

DKC1

God
Rambi - Basically a tank. Makes waste of anything in front of or beneath him, breaks open bonus areas.

High
Enguarde - Great maneuverability and effectiveness. Easy to catch if you lose him.

Mid
Winky - Controlling him can be awkward sometimes, especially since his moving animation sometimes overlaps with his jumping animation. Can be even more awkward when jumping on enemies. Still jumps super high and kills almost anything he jumps on.

Low
Expresso - Really fast and flies, but can’t kill enemies. Good luck trying to catch him if he runs away.
Squawks - You see him maybe once, and all he does is light the way. No help bashing enemies

DKC2

God
Squitter - Webs kill everything except red zingers, can cross any gap with web platforms, can control the trajectory of web shots and platforms. So freaking broken.

High
Rambi - Same as in DKC1 except now with a supercharge. Can raise a lot of hell. Only reason why Squitter bumps him down is because of his flexibilty.
Enguarde - Same as in DKC 1, except now he can supercharge and cover a lot of distance. Also can now bust open bonus areas. Makes awesome sounds when he kills the shuris and pufftuffs.
Rattly - Right on the cusp of high/mid. Jumps incredibly high and kills most enemies. Relatively easy to catch if you lose him. More stable and less jittery than Winky. Overall maneuverability is a bit sluggish, however.

Mid
Squawks - Much better and more useful than first game. Great flying ability, though a bit sluggish to change direction or avoid obstacles sometimes. Need to keep tapping ‘a’ to stay at a level altitude. Egg projectiles kill almost everything, but have limited range and rate of fire. What knocks him down even further is that if you get hit while he’s carrying Diddy and Dixie, he doesn’t fly away and give you a chance to catch him again. You lose whatever Kong was in the lead when he picks you up.

Low
Clapper - Cute and helpful, but only seen in 2 areas.
Glimmer - See: Squawks in DKC1

DKC3

God
Squitter - Still the same old broken badass as in the second game. Allegedly the only one who can kill Kuff and Klout.

High
Enguarde - This time around, he’s the lone high tier again. Still the same as he ever was, and that’s a great thing.

Mid
Ellie - Rather slow, doesn’t hold a candle to Rambi. Spooked by rats. Can suck barrels towards her to use, can make a bridge out of steel kegs, and can use water as a projectile as long as there’s a nearby source.
Green Squawks - For the very same reasons as in DKC2, though his eggs do seem a bit slower in terms of rate of fire.

Low
Purple Squawks - Feels more sluggish than green, no egg projectile, relies heavily on barrels to eliminate threats
Parry - Good for collecting out-of-reach items and later becoming a bonus barrel, but very frail and you can’t get him back if he gets hit.

Ross has more options. Chandlier is like, basically anti-social and doesn’t have a large integral role. He’s basically dependent on reaction. Not that he doesn’t make good laughs, but he has to have them set up for him, where as Ross does that as well, but can put in laughs more freely. Also, he has more of a dopey face so, yeah, he usually doesn’t have to say anything to be funny, but can get laughs just being made fun OF~

You forgot Rattly in DKC2. Honestly though, I never understood why they replaced Winky with him as they were effectively the same and Winky was cooler. Speaking of Winky, IMO you kinda underrated him. Superjump was really useful, and he was the only character who could kill Zingers in the first game.

Squitter is definitely undisputed #1 though.

Um. . . no I didn’t. He’s right at the bottom of the high tier, just a little hard to spot since there are no spaces between the members of each tier. Trust me, he’s there.

Couldn’t Rambi kill zingers, too? He could in the second game. Maybe that affected my choice, as I was fairly certain he could in the first as well. Also, the thing with rating Winky mid, sometimes his animations made me feel a little awkward. Maybe I just need to play it again is all. My reasons for rating him like that were probably rooted in how much I sucked at the game way back when.

Ah, Rattly was right there. Sorry I missed it.

And no, Rambi could not kill Zingers in the original DKC. He wasn’t given that ability until DKC2.

I just replayed FF7 and here are my tiers for a normal playthrough (no overflow glitches or using W-Item to get a shitload of Hero Drinks and shit like that, otherwise, Barret and Vincent would be undoubtedly be top).

Top:
Cloud
Barret/Yuffie
Cid

Mid:

Red XIII
Tifa

Low:
Vincent
Cait Sith

I’m pretty confident about all these except for Barret/Yuffie. Catastrophe/Ungramax should deal more damage than Doom of the Living, yet I think the Conformer is more high reliable(or at least, doesn’t require leveling materia to the point in which you would already be wrecking shit anyways) than Missing Score. Right now it’s iffy for me.

Not that if you wanted to count Aeris, she’d undoubtedly be somewhere at Top

FF7 tiers have already been discussed to death.

Cloud isn’t top 3…Cid/Barret/Yuffie are.

I can’t find it within the thread…but I have to disagree with Cloud not being top. From my experience, Omnislash usually does more damage per hit with it’s auto critical than Highwind/Catastrophe/Doom of the Living.

Aye, then it looks like I’ma hafta do some reorganizin’.

DKC1

High
Enguarde
Winky

Mid
Rambi - Very close to high, however.

Low
Expresso
Squawks

DKC2

God
Squitter

High
Rambi
Enguarde
Rattly

Mid
Squawks

Low
Clapper
Glimmer

DKC3

God
Squitter

High
Enguarde

Mid
Ellie
Green Squawks

Low
Purple Squawks
Parry

Use Tali or Liara. Liara’s survivability improves big time in the late game due to access to better upgrade chips for armor. Tali rapes Geth and other mechanicals for free and she’s durable.

Garrus will be the most death prone character later on because his defense rating is pathetic. He’s the ME definition of a glass cannon.
