Tiers for non-fighting games?

Boy, the mid tier really got nerfed for Brawl…

I was about to do tiers for MSC, but yours is pretty much accurate. The only changes I’d make is move Waluigi down to the High Tier and move Daisy and maybe DK up there. Daisy is basically unbeatable depending on who your teammates are. People love spamming Monty Mole with Daisy, really frustrating. DK’s special is identical, so they’re really interchangeable, because their stats are basically opposite. Some prefer Daisy’s speed, while other’s might prefer DK’s shooting and Deke.

The only reason I have Waluigi as “top” tier is cause of his broken special. Couple that with his great speed and he’s almost untouchable…only bad thing about him is his passing/shooting is ass. DK is higher up cause his special has a HUGE blast raidus compared to Daisy’s and it stuns the opponent while Daisy’s just knocks them away.

Tier list for the Metal Slug 7 weapons yet? I only just got it and it seems like Laser is good though it murders you on ammo consumption and shotgun is great. Low for me would have to be that “bouncy ball” bomb thing, so far has been worthless to me against airborne enemies.

Tell me about it. I miss when I didn’t get laughed at for playing Samus. Oh well, if she has to suck, at least she has the courtesy to be fun as HELL to play.

I feel your pain. I play Samus in Melee, too. It sucks to see how she’s been nerfed in almost every aspect. I’m almost tempted to say that her only improvements are:

  1. Looking shinier
  2. Being able to turn into ZSS.

But 2 is only relative to Brawl.

She got a couple of buffs, actually. The only reason that she’s in the hall of shame is because of her KO power. That’s why she’s so godlike in SSE.

FFTA2 Race Tiers

Descriptions

Humans: Nothing spells balanced more than the Human race. They still are balanced with a wide variety of jobs maintained for this game, the most of any race. Some nerfs, however, have really taken it’s toll on the human population. The Paladin is no longer the offensive powerhouse he once was, but still sports excellent defensive coverage and abilities. Thieves can no longer steal abilities and weapons, and although stronger than Moggle thief, is not as evasive and fast.

Human Hunters are now in competition with the Gria ones. And they usually lose out in the long run, shame really. Blue Mages still need to be prep but can become a force to be reckon with, and Black Mages get a boost with more monster ever being present now. Ninja is still considered a favorable class with that double sword tech, and Seer can compliment it with magic frenzy. The other magicks will lose out to blood price summoners, all in all humans are great. But nothing spectacular.

Moogles: Gimmicky. Simply put. Not a good race, especially early on when they are struggling to find a spot on the roster. Again, the Thief got nerfed - but the moggle dodges better than the human. Animist is fun, but still bad since concentrate got nerfed. Fusilers + Ultima Shot can be a deadly combo, and Juggler smile is pretty nice. Nu Mou top Moggles in spellcasting, don’t think about Black Mage Moogles. Tinker is the worst class in the game I think, next to Beastmaster. New classes in Choco Knight and Flintlock are great supporter jobs, but I wouldn’t waste too much time with this race.

Nu Mous: Top everything in spell casting. They also get a nice boost because there’s more monsters evident in this game, exploiting weaknesses is a must. You’ll need a Beastmaster to prep the Blue Mage, despite it being a pretty bad job. Illusionist take too much MP, but it’s an improvement over the human ones. Nu Mou are frail, they can’t take many blows from heavy equipment. Bangaa’s love to slice/beat them up when given the opportunity. Alchemist and Sage are excellent jobs, and people had high hopes for Arcanist and Scholar jobs but both are too gimmicky. A White Mage Nu Mou is a must early on…simply put, you wanna mage? Make it Nu Mou, this race has improved a bit since FFTA1.

Bangaas: Another improved race. Both White Monk and Master Monk are BEASTLY jobs, and Dragoon and Gladiator have great stat growth. They also seem to be a bit faster this time around, but maybe that’s overshadowed because of the Seeqs. Still weak spell casters, don’t bother with Bishop. Templar is useful enough, the new jobs they acquire is “ehh” at best…gimmicky or status. Still a good race, though.

Vieras: My favorite race from FFTA1 is back. The class that beat out everything in FFTA1 with the Assassin broken beyond repair. This race got a few nerfs this time around, but it’s not as bad as the humans. They traded some defense for more speed, which I think is bad because they were already fast enough. They are still considered, however, the most versatile race in the game. Blood Price Summoners will not only heal better than an White Mage, but attack effectively. Green Mage is a good supporting job, nice to have early on. Red Mage/Elementalist (or summoner) still remains one of the best tandems in the game, and Sniper has excellent attack growth.

So what about the Assassins? Well, they got nerfed. No more 70% last breaths, no more tolerable atk growth, etc. - Since magick also starts at 0, Summoners/Mages take a hit too…kinda. Blood Price should help with those problems from a Spellblade. This race has fallen from graces but don’t expect too much trouble, people still run 2-3 viera on squads.

Seeqs: One of the new races in FFTA. They’re suppose to be stronger than Bangaa but much, much slower. They work pretty well in the early going but I prefer the Bangaas since they’ve gotten improved. Berserkers have interesting abilities and excellent atk growth (bad defense though), and Rangers are pretty gimmicky with those traps (can be good or bad if you do/don’t pay attention)

Lanista and Vikings aren’t great classes, especially Viking. Seeqs are god awful with magick, so yeah avoid them at all cost (only for dispatch missions). Not the best of races out there since Bangaa got boosted.

Grias: One of the new races in FFTA. And it’s a good one, finally something done right. Superior movement and high speed makes them deadly, they only have 4 jobs like the Seeq. Gria Hunters topple over the Human ones, since they can fly it makes them better suited for positioning and taking advantage of sneak attack. Raptors are basically Solider upgrades, and Ravagers are deadly all by themselves. Geomancer is pretty poor, I’d ignore that job there are better ones. For a new race featured in the game, it should make an immediate impact for being solid.

So there you have it. I haven’t even finished the game yet but I’m pretty far plus I read and hear stuff around. I could be wrong on some of there but here’s how I see it just for races in general:

Top

Gria
Bangaa

Upper-Mid

Nu Mou
Viera

Mid

Human
Seeq

Low

Moggle

I think where I put Humans will be the most questionable. I wanna put them in the higher tier but too many nerfs. There really isn’t a “god” tier ranking because they balanced the hell outta this game unlike the last one, but from what I can tell it goes kinda along those lines.

Humes can equip the geomancy support ability which makes every elemental attack one tier weaker for the opponent (Absorb->Immune->Half->Normal->Weak). So a parivir with its elemental attacks will make an opponent with a normal affinity to an element weaker than it should. Would this setup make up for its nerfs from FFTA1?

Also, assassins can get some pretty good success rates on Last Breath. My setup is an Assassin with a Green Mage sub (Tranq increases accuracy) and blood price. Blood price makes Last Breath cost 32 HP, but tranq gives it a hit rate of about 70% (will increase if you cast stop on an opponent). 70% chance of IK for only 32HP sounds like a fair trade to me.

I think it would, I haven’t beaten the game yet just tiering from wherever point I’m at. I love the Humans I just wish they didn’t nerf everything like thieves ability to steal and whatnot. I remember the Human Hunter kicked so much ass in FFTA1, now I’m not too fond over him.

Another thing to look at the Assassin is the growth, speed is excellent of course but everything else took a hit. I just think the Assassin from FFTA1 is overall better than the ones from 2. I have only gotten up to 60% Last Breath, but it’s cool people are finding ways to get 70%. I just remember in 1 with the concentrate ability last breath was an automatic 70-90% accuracy. You could get concentrate a lot quicker in 1 than you can with Blood Price in 2.

I know that certain jobs got nerfed, but thats all for the sake of balance. I’d rather have bearable nerfs rather than nerfs that turn a race/job unplayable.

I’m only done with like 180 missions (about level 50) and I’m still looking for good abilities, but so far my Team is:
-Luso (Hume): Paladin/Parivir, Strike Back, and Dual Wield (dont have geomancy yet)
-Viera: Assassin/Green Mage, Reflex and Blood price
or a Sniper just for Double Attack
and I’ll try out a Dualcast Red Mage/Elementalist (or summoner) with blood price
-Gria is currently a Hunter just so she can learn some moves
-Nu Mou (generic spell caster) - will probably drop for a second viera (one of the builds i listed above)
-Bangaa: Master Monk/Templar (just for haste)
-Moogle: Moogle Knight/Fusilier (for stopshot to compliment the assassin viera), and sometimes i do Fusilier/Items

What is your team, Ephidel?

Most of my units are around LV30ish

Luso > Paladin: Chivalry/Items/Monkey Grip
Adelle > Ninja: Ninjutsu/Items/Counter/Safeguard
Kalehb > Alchemist/Sage: Alchemy/Sagacity/Items/Item Lore
Belissana > Red Mage: Red Magick/Items
Firthis > Black Mage/Blue Mage: Black Magick/Blue Magick/Learn
Nazarie > Sniper: Sharpshooting/Items
Phonis > Beserker: Survivalism/Items/Counter/Attack^
Robrich > Gladiator: Sparring/Items/Strike Back/Double Hand

Since it’s still rather early (only 79 missions completed) I don’t have access to better weaponary and/or sets. The combos I’m seeking are:

Paladin/Paravir
Red Mage/Summoner or Red Mage/Elementalist (W/Blood Price)
Gladiator/Defender
Master Monk/White Monk
Flintlock/Fusilier
Hunter/Ravager

I didn’t care much for flintlocks because they have to Prime before they do a special.

And BTW, if you dual wield the same weapon, you learn it twice as fast.

Yeah I know, and learning stuff quick has always been a must at least for me.

I hate the fact that flintlocks have to prime before they take action. Their prime modes can even be dispelled, which is also sucks.

Resident Evil Outbreak Tier

Lobelia sent me it, but I don’t know where it originated, or who the dumb fuck is that wrote it. I have to beat some sense into them with a steel pipe.

Can anyone help me?

It’s right here. Having never played Outbreak before(just watched someone play it) I can’t offer any criticism.

Nevermind, I found it.

Uh… this list sucks. There is no way that Mark and Cindy should be S tier. They are B tier, at best, and Kevin should be in S, at least for File #1.

Kevin - Fatest Character in the game. Starts with an upgraded gun, can more accurately aim. Also, can kick as a melee attack, which is more effective.

Mark has better strength with melee weapons, but you shouldn’t be using those in Hard or Very Hard, you should be RUNNING. He is also abysmally slow, and useless in a Death Match, aside from the fact that he starts with a gun.

Cindy starts with herbs, and her ducking can be useful. I have played with some very good Cindys, but Cindy can also just be a bitch. The herb stacking is limited, so it’s usefulness is also limited. Kevin, however, with his speed, better aim, and better melee attack, is infinitely useful.

But at the very least, for File #1, only David should be top tier. David is god in that game, and all the Outbreak fanboys want his cock in or around their mouths.

(Damn, I wish Outbreak was still online. -Alyssa Player.-)

Outbreak has fanboys? o_O

Yes. And they all want David’s cock.

(Well… he is the best looking character in the game, Alyssa aside.)
