Revenge of Shinobi Jitsu Tiers

Top

Jitsu of Ikazuchi - If you are a top shinobi in this game, you’ll understand why this beats out the rest of the jitsus. The lighting barrier not only protects you, but allows you to maintain your super shurikins for extented periods of time. It is the only jitsu required in successfully dealing with the last boss. (the others don’t work well, if not at all)

Mid

Jitsu of Fushin - It’s only useful for certain stages where you HAVE to shadow jump. The city stage can be shadow jumped all the way to the top, but this is something you won’t be using frequently.

Jitsu of Mijin - Great on bosses, gives you another jitsu tech. But you lose a life everytime you do it…I can go through the whole game without it.

Low

Jitsu of Kariu - Great on bosses early on, then they just laugh at this. Cool animation, but that’s it really. Use it only if you obtained more jitsu boxes! Especially in later LVs!

There isn’t any good footage on youtube at all. The combat system works by inputting various directions like :qcb: or :hcb:. By combining different directions you get an attack known as arts. How many arts you can do in a row is based upon how many slots for inputs you have. Like if you have 6 slots you can’t do a move that required 8 slots. Or if you 14 slots you can’t do a move that has 8 slots and then add another that does 7 which exceeds 14.

You can however perfom combos of arts one after the other. Like if you have 14 lots you can do 2 arts that take up 5 slots and follow up with another that takes 4 and do all of them in one turn. The directions also serve as normal attacks. For instance in you do input directions that’s not an art like::u::d::d::l: your character will perfom an upward strike, then two downard strikes and a left strike for a combo.

The first level of arts are super arts. Basic 3 directions or 4 directions. Basic stuff.

Arts also vary in style. For instance most arts are done by just one person but later in the game you can do variable arts. variable arts are dual arts. Two characters combine their attacks to perform an even more powerful art.

The next level is the Hyper arts. Hyper arts are the highest level of arts a character can perform by themselves.

Mystic arts surpass those. Every character has an elemental spirt which affects their arts(except for the giant). Mystic arts are the combination of the character and the elemental spirit like Shaman King.

If by chance you input a random combination of directions and it’s an art you’ll unlock it. This works for some arts.

Legaia is turned based. The battle menu is layed out like the d-pad. Enemies can also perform arts and combos like the players. Also the directions of your attacks are important. If an enemy is too short and you do an art that mainly uses high attacks, the attacks will whiff. So if an enemy has no legs and you do a series of low attacks you’ll whiff.

I’m sold…

Did you play the first Legend of Legaia game? That games was cool, I felt like it was kinda like a beta test seening that you could do some broken shit on there.

Just curious, anyone have a tier listing for Dynasty Warriors 6 yet? Cuz I seriously want to know, since that game looks crazy ridiculous, Zhao Yun looks pretty badass “from the videos I’ve seen” and Lu Bu doesn’t seem to look as badass as he used too be.

However, someone who has actually played this game, please post up the DW6 Tier Listing, I want to know. Hopefully Liu Bei is good, cuz he looks fun as hell to use now

I really don’t like how DW6 came out…

WAAAYYY too many people using spears and copy&paste moveslists are at an all time high. LU Bu from what I’ve seen has been nerfed. How so you ask?

-LU Bu can hit every angle around him that means he can strike opponents at his back.
His new weapon gives him a lot less range

Lu Bu is still strong but what made him a threat was his damage and his range. Now eventhough his new weapon is two spears put together with less range…ehhh. He may not be the one man army he once was.

Lu Bu is pretty overrated in DW if you ask me, people just give too much credit to a good S string and like one good charge attack because he’s supposed to be so awesome. Any spear character is gonna be good in DW, though, so shrug.

Sun Shang Xiang and Yue Ying are broken tier in DW6. Hell all of the girls are top tier in DW6 except Xiao Qiao. Guan Yu is the best male character.

Now that season 2 is out…anyone want to give their opinions on Gunbound tiers?

God Hand tiers for super moves:

I’m not including all the lesser moves that get obsoleted by stronger ones (Kung Fu Samba, Face Runner, ect., just the strongest ones)

Broken:

Double Shaolin (only used on the final boss, so it’s just here for completion)

Tops:

Chain Yanker (Chain Yanker -> [Yes Man Kablaam -> Dodge]x2 or 3, then pummel. You’ll get like 50% tension. You can absolutely rape almost any boss with it.)

Shaolin Blast (Huuuuge damage, and can hit lots of enemies. Instantly clear the Death Shutter or Afro Joe with this.)

High:

Crescent Kick (Most damaging 2-orb move)

Home Run God (slightly less powerful than Crescent Kick, but has a greater chance of hitting multiple opponents)

Kung Fu Tango (great coverage, front, above and behind, and good damage)

Typhoon Kick (despite the low damage, it remains useful throughout the game for its great range and room-clearing ability)

Mid:

La Bomba (has its moments, good range and launches, and really useful early-game, but gets overshadowed as time goes on)

Shockwave/SW2 (long-range and good coverage, but kind of hard to hit with sometimes, and average damage)

God Stomp (Decent hitbox and can follow up with other roulettes/OTG attack)

Wild Pitch (surprisingly useful against clumps of more difficult enemies, but low damage for 2 orbs)

Low:

Divine Smash (Not really that useful, and hard to hit with)

Ball Buster (Chain Yanker beats it in every way except style points)

Zen Revival/Enlightenement (Could be useful, but… not really)

Shit:

God Charge/Spirit of God (WHY?!?! All it does is build 20%/40% tension, and you’d build more tension than that with Gene’s Chain Yanker combos)

FFI Dawn of Souls tiers ( kinda old, but now I know more about this game).

TOP:
Master (best damage dealer in the game, does not need spells)
Ninja (excellent damage dealer,Temper+Haste)
White Wizard (Heal spells, Tons of MP)

MID:
Black Wizard (worse defense/damage than Red Wizard, but more MP, Temper+Haste)
Red Wizard (better defense/damage than Black Wizard, but less MP, Temper+Haste)

LOW:
Knight (bad spells, less useful than Ninja)

Funny how the Knight dominated FF1 NES/Origins, but is by far the least useful class in DOS. He’s still a beast, but the other classes are even beastier (game is so easy anyways so this hardly matters). Boss battles (the only thing that can be remotely difficult) are played out by hasting/tempering the hell out of your strongest fighter (preferably Master) while healing on the side (preferably with your White Wizard). Simple as hell game, but hey, that’s OG style for you.

No More Heroes tiers for the beam katanas

God Tier
Tsubaki MK3: With the battery upgrade, Travis will never have to charge this thing, broken as hell. The reach on this thing is also great and is almost as strong as the Tsubaki. The only problem with this thing is that Travis has a wonky combo that leaves him open to punishment, so stance management is required.

Top Tier
Tsubaki: This is the best beam katana for boss battles and assassination missions against specific targets. This katana can actually stun people with its normal comboes, so this is the best katana for wrestling. This thing eats battery power and has short reach. Without the battery upgrade, the MK3 is equal to the normal Tsubaki.

Mid Tier
Tsubaki MK2: This beam katana kills normal goons, but the strikes are slow as hell and sometimes knock people back. Good for free fight and survival missions, but suffers against bosses and katana wielders.

Low Tier
Blood Berry: No upgrades and poor damage, starter katana that should be ditched ASAP unless you want to challenge yourself.

Tsubaki MK3 is unstoppable tier.

Just do your full charge attack and mash the A button.

Unblockable and rapes bosses and has an area effect.

Broken as shit.

Double post!

YAY!

Tiers for Destrega. Yes, it’s a fighting game, but so what. It’s obscure and I don’t want to post it in the shitty fighting game thread since it wasn’t shitty at all. It was actually really good. One thing that really affects tiers in this game is the fact that spells have different properties when combined with other spells and they also change based on when they were cast. Some spells have different effects if they were cast while running, jumping or standing. This really makes some characters far more versatile then others. Stats also play a role. Power is the strength of an attack. Speed is how fast a spell travels. Run is the running speed of a character. Jump is how high they jump. Dash is how fast they dash. Homing is much a spell will home in on an opponent. All stats carry equal importance although speed and power are pretty much the most important. Now here is the list.

God tier

Zauber - All his spells have good attributes. His power spell shoots into the air then comes down, so it will ignore walls and hills, but will still be blocked by ceilings that opponents can hide under. His span spell spreads out then converges which allows it to get by obstacles. His speed spell is a VERY fast shot that flies straight forward. Also his span spell and power spell are both somewhat slow, so he can shoot them and then do another action while his spells close in. This gives him a good pressure game. His power spell changes properites as well. When shot in the air he will shoot in straight. If casted while running it will go up first, but it wont go as high as it does when cast while Zauber is standing. It also has the added shot effect at level 2 and 3, but only when combined with itself. So this means while dashing if he does power times 2 or times 3 he will shoot one or two extra projectiles then normal. Also, the main thing that makes him stupid good, is that his speed spell has a glitch. The very first speed spell he does in a match will automatically hit an opponent as soon as he cast it. So he can do spell speed then two power spells for increased damage, and then when it’s cast it will hit even if there are onstacles in the way. This is pretty hax. I’m unsure if an opponent can deflect or shield it, but most likely they can. Also his super move is good. Good damage and homes in on the opponent. Also the energy waves from the black hole will make his opponents take damage if they get hit by them, so they must watch out for that. Also If you want to use the spell glitch you can’t hit the spell button AT ALL. So this balances out the glitch, because it limits his moveset until he decides to do it. Also, becuase of the nature of his spells he has no bad stages and is uninhibited by obstacles. He also has a good sidestep attack. Stat wise he is a suped up Gradd. All his stats are good.

Top Tier

Gradd - He is good all around. There is nothing bad about him at all. Solid stats and all his spells are good. He also has an added shot effect when he cast any spell while dashing. This means that when he cast a spell, if he is dashing he will shoot one extra spell of the type he casted. So this makes deflecting spells less effective against him and his opponent really has to watch thier magic energy when they shield because they might run out of energy before that second shot hits them. Also his super is solid. Good damage and speed. Nothing much to say. He is just really good. All his level 2 spells are great as well, especially his span spells. Also his side-step attack is awesome. Very fast and hard to react to.

Fahlma - Another character that is good all around. His power spells have the pillar effect. They go right into the ground and go straight making pillars of energy as they travel. They go pretty far even as level 1. All his spells do good damage. His speed spell gets the extra shot effect when he jumps and casts it. His span spell gets the same effect when he is dashing. Also his span spell will reflect off of walls. His super move is good for zoning and space control since it releases light rays that cover a set distance and it last for a few seconds. His super can also go through walls. All his spells have good power behind them as well. Hills and other elevations will negate his power spell since it’s a pillar so being on the low ground puts him at disadvantage. He also has a side step attack that causes him to flip behind his opponent which makes it very easy to read and avoid. Those are his main weaknesses, but he is still a beast. He has good stats all around.

Mileena - Her power spell has the extra shot effect when she is dashing. So does her speed spell when she jumps. Her span spell has some cool effects. When done normally it will go a set distance then land and create ice pillars that will form in place for several seconds. This is good for containment. When done in the air or while dashing they will head straight for her opponent. Her super is one of the best. It ignores most obstacles except ceilings and does solid damage. At long range she can spam it and her opponent has to shield it. Her main weakness is that her side step attack is telegraphed and very easy to avoid. Stat wise her speed, mobility, and jumping ability are high while power and homing ability are above average.

Celia - Her spells are crazy good and have alot of effects when combined or when she is doing different actions. Her zoning is top notch because of this. Her power spell travels slowly when done in the air, so she can pressure with that since it acts as a stand alone projectile. Her speed spell gets cool properties when combined with her span spell. The projectiles will travel for a bit then begin to go in circles in place for several seconds. This is awesome for zoning. Her super move can be used as a shield or she can follow it and shoot other attack behind it. Celia is all about zoning and pressure and her moves allow her to do this with ease. Her only real disadvantage is that her super move will be negated by hills, so she is at slight disadvantage if her opponent has the high ground. She also has a bad side step attack since she flips over her enemy first. Her power is low, but all her other stats are either solid or good.

High tier

Reyus - He has the best pillar spell. It goes farther then any other and it’s pretty fast. He gets an increased shot effect on his speed spell depending on his action. If he dashes then he shoots two projectiles. If he jumps he shoots 3. His span spell has the same effect as Mileena’s. It will shoot 3 projectiles forward that land on the ground, but this time they create fire not ice. This augments his containment game. His super is a little subpar. Damage isn’t too crazy and only hits once unless they are pinned down, so it’s situational. Damage wise he is weak, but all his other stats are solid. He has a good side step attack.

Mid tier

Cougar - His power and homing are low, but all his other stats are good especially his speed. He has the double shot effect on his speed spell and power spell. It activates while dashing and for his power spell it causes the projectiles to travel in an arc, which is good for avoiding obstacles. He is good at applying constant pressure and evasion thanks to his high stats concerning speed and mobility. His super is good too. It will go through hills which increases it’s usefulness, but it will still be stopped by solid walls and solid elevations. His side-step attack is telegraphed which hurts him. He also lacks a launcher combo that can’t be blocked once he starts it. These two weaknesses really hurt his close range game and regulate him to mid tier.

Tieme - He is pretty average. Good power and homing, but low mobility stats. His spells don’t gain any special attributes at all when he does different actions. His span spell is interesting though. When Tieme cast it he will create a soild blade of enery that stays on the field for several seconds. So this is useful for zoning/containment. Other then that though is very mediocre. His super is decent, nothing spectacular. His side-step move is good though so that’s nice. Still, he is nothing special really.

Rohzen - His homing stat is high along with his power and jumping. But his other stats are average. His spells seem to have shorter travel distance then most, so bigger stages will hinder him somewhat. His super is good for zoning and is similar to Celia’s in terms of how it’s used. His span spell will shoot out differently depending on what he is doing. In the air the projectiles will be spread far apart and during a dash Rohzen will shoot each projectile individually in a different direction. His power spell is a pillar type, but it travels in the air not the on the ground so it’s uninhibited by elevations. His side-step attack is good, but he lacks a luancher combo that can’t be blocked after the combo starts, so this hurts him. Not much else to say about him.

Doyle - He has alot of power, decent homing and dash, but low everything else. He has the worst pillar spell. It travels slowly and goes the least amount of distance. His speed spell has the extra shot effect when he jumps and when he dashes. His span spell also has the effect when he is on the ground, but not when he is in the air. His span spell spreads out if casted while he is dashing. His super is decent. Does good damage, but can be somewhat easy to avoid and he can’t really zone with it since it comes down before his magic gauge can really charge back up. His sidestep attack is good though which is nice. Still his speed, and fairly average spells hold him back.

Low tier

Anjie - She is just wierd. Her span spell sucks at actually spanning out and covering a wide area. But she does get some effects on her spells. Her speed spell gets the extra shot effect when she dashes or jumps. It can also bounce off walls. her power spell gets the extra shot when she dashed. Her span spell will bounce off the ground when done in the air. When done from a dash it will go a short distance then spreead out. her super sucks. The projectiles she shoots, bounce off the ground so an opponent can position themselves right next to where they will bounce and avoid all damage. Stat wise her power is horrid but all her other stats are good. She has a good sidestep attack too. Still she is just too weak, and her spells are a bit too subpar for her to be higher then low tier.

Bottom tier

Roane - He sucks. His spells get no special attributes and his speed spell has no speed to speak of. The only redeeming factor about him is his super. It does alot of damage and can go through anything. This is what saves him from being useless. Stat-wise he has alot of power, and good homing and speed. Honestly though his speed spell is horrid, since he casts it by creating a ball of energy first from which the projectile comes out of. And the travel speed itself isn’t great. The speed on his other spells is ok, but the fact that they have no special effects really hurt their utility. He has a good sidestep attack though so he isn’t useless. But he is clearly the worst character in the game.

Don’t know if its been done but I’m only doing characters who join your party:

FFT:
God Tier: Orlandu
High Tier: Ramza, Reis
Mid Tier: Agrias, Meliodoul, Beowulf, Cloud, Mustadio, Worker 8
Bottom Tier: Malak, Rafa

Another could probably be done for character classes, but I don’t have time right now

FFT Tiers for multiple subjects have been done several times, but I mostly agree with that list, except Beowulf needs to be High Tier at least and Ramza is probably God Tier as well.

Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X

Weapon Tiers for X:

God Tier:

Storm Tornado - Kills many enemies in a single blast, hits multiple times and even cuts through shields. Very awesome weapon and the best in the damn game, overall. I’ve used this over the standard X Buster once I got it.

X Buster - Rapid Fire, no meter usage and works on every enemy? Very cool.

Top Tier:

Fire Wave - Virtually the same advantages as Storm Tornado, the only difference is range and it eats meter like a bitch.

Chameleon Sting- Fans out, and the charged version makes you invincible. What’s more, in this game, you can swap weapons while in Chameleon mode and still retain the invincibility. Too cool.

Middle Tier:

Rolling Shield - The only merit this really has is when it’s fully charged, and it allows you to plow through 1-hit kill enemies and projectiles without a scratch.

Boomerang Cutter - Only really here because it’s necessary to get certain items in the game, and takes quite a while to run out of energy.

Low Tier:

Homing Torpedo - It’s pitifully weak, and you’ll probably waste a lot of shots to kill more powerful enemies. It even arcs funny when it’s trying to hit an enemy that may be right on top of you, and the delay is enough for it to hit you first. Only a notch above the other two weapons because of its tracking ability.

Hadouken- It may drop bosses in one hit, but it has a bit of a slow startup, and once you get hit…poof. No more Hadouken.

Shotgun Ice - Weak, and the only use I really have for it is to rebound the shots to hit the shield soldiers from behind, but that’s only one instance in one stage.

Electric Spark - It’s weak, it’s slow, and chances are, you’ll hardly EVER use this, save for Armored Armadillo.

X-Buster rapes even harder since the pink shot enhancement causes an energy field to form when he shoots destroying weaker enemies and damaging stronger ones. Also there is an X-buster glitch. It does more damage when you shoot while dashing.

True. The only reason I’d put the X-Buster below Storm Tornado is that you actually have to charge to maximum power each and every time you want that blast, whereas Storm Tornado is power at the touch of a button. There are also some enemies that X-Buster doesn’t kill outright (such as the Grenade Tortoises) but Storm Tornado does.
