Let’s try to actively avoid storyline spoilers, ja?

Cept that’s a fighting game, you’re thinking of this thread:

Franzy is low. She was all bark and no bite. If you disagreed with her she’d whip you in the face and then not bother at all to refute your claim, and if she did it would just be “nuh-uh you’re wrong”.

She damn near ruined JFA for me,
Case 2-2

and the ending to case 2-2 made me want to throw my DS out a window, set it on fire, feed the ashes to wolves, and blow up the wolves.

How 'bout Destrega? Or would you count that as a fighting game…

Gradd…uhhh that guy with the master relic…and that light user Strega.

Those 3 are top from what I remember.

I say the ice girl is raw…and Gradd most def.

I don’t know why people enjoy hearing someone throw out random profanity about a video game. If people want to hear profanity that badly, all they’d need to do is walk around in public or visit a local high school.

I’m surprised you didn’t want to do that due to Case 2-1 with the girl’s name being misspelled in spite of Gumshoe having a crush on the Defendant. That little revelation ruined the game for me to the point where I couldn’t play it any longer.

Personally, I’d take Bomb down to high as it can be difficult to manage sometimes (dash is required to throw straight, bomb throw can hurt you). Great for bosses though and it’s sick how fast you can pull bombs out. I originally thought this qualified for top until I played Fighter (which is good but not like Plasma and Sword) and they seemed to be in the same league. Fighter’s throw is surprisingly strong too.

Hammer does have it’s issues but I’d probably put above Beam since Beam is so weak and not terribly fast either. I didn’t really take advantage of Beam’s running air attack though so maybe that’ll change things.

Yoyo is top but I don’t like it’s dash attack. It only knocks enemies (or you) away and isn’t much for damage. I’ve taken damage too many times from it to think it’s good. Best throw though. I’d personally take Sword over it.

Suplex doesn’t need to be higher than you put it. It’s useless on bosses and even mini-bosses. It doesn’t even kill certain enemies in one hit that Fighter’s throw can. Fun as hell though and I use it whenever I can.

Everything else sounds right.

thank you sir; with this knowledge you too will become Uno LEET STATUS

tiers are as follows

casters actually take skill so u cant really say gear for them.

Bomb has comparable range and power to Yoyo and throwing straight isn’t a necessity. I put it as top above Fighter because it’s much more useful against bosses. Fighter’s throw is good but it has limited use against bosses.

The running air attack for Beam is waht makes it so useful. It’s not terribly damaging but it can clear out a bunch of minor enemies and is somewhat useful on bosses. I can see Hammer being above it, though. It’s debatable.

The Yoyo dash can be DI’d, meaning you can rush in and duck out before you get hit. Useless on bosses but good on minor enemies and the Meta Knights.

I could probably do a Helper list, too, though it would only have a few differences. Rocky is top tier because it’s SO much easier to land hits with it than with Kirby and has above average defense for a Helper. Plasma Wisp still trumps it by combining an already broken ability with free range air movement and guard-hovering.

I posted this on this topic approximately 8 months ago. So, I’ll just repost it since it basically says all of what I think.

Kirby Superstar for Super Nintendo. Character tiers

Top Tier
Bomb - Lightning fast execution, nice damage, throws very far. Maybe the best overall ability in the game.
Cutter - Lighting fast execution, nice damage and flies far. Has a nice combo.

High Tier
Hammer - nice reach and the 2nd most powerful regular hit in the game behind Stone. Executes at a decent speed. Hammer flip and throw does MASSIVE damage. Not a projectile so must be fairly up close. Can be carried underwater.
Parasol - The umbrella protects you from enemies or debree dropping onto you and is SURPRISINGLY useful. The regular attack does good damage, not quite beastly as hammer. Long reach. Can be carried underwater.
Sword - Regular chop does nice damage and has good reach. The combinations do nice damage too. When jumping the chops juggle you around making you able to do multiple hits while bouncing around the enemy.
YoYo - Very nice reach and goes through enemies. Each hit does good damage, approximately the same as other regular attacks in this tier besides Hammer. Not top tier because it doesn’t execute anywhere near as fast as Bomb and Cutter.

Mid Tier
Beam - each beam executes pretty slowly one after another. The reach is decent. The damage is quite weak. The dashing jump attack though is pretty coolFighter - The uppercut attack is pretty damaging but puts Kirby in danger. The jabs are weak and the hard blow doesn’t do enough damage considering the wait time afterwards.
Mirror - theres a slight delay in attack execution. The dashing attack though does nice damage and makes Kirby attack both sides for a long distance.
Ninja - The projectiles are weak but travel very far on the ground. His upclose attacks have low reach and are risky.
Stone - Makes Kirby invincible but very awkward to do real battle since you must fly over the enemy to do damage everytime. The hit is very powerful but one hit of stone is still slightly less powerful than two regular hits of Hammer.
Wing - Multi-hits do decent damage but doesn’t have a good reach. The flying is nice and helps big time in the Fire planet level in Milky Way Wishes.
Low Tier
Fire - The reach is bad and the multi-hit fire attacks don’t do much damage.
Ice - pretty much same as fire
Plasma - the jab is WEAK and has AWFUL reach. The projectiles considering you must charge for them are weak too. At max, the most powerful projectile does barely more than a regular hit from Hammer.

Bottom Tier
Jet - the attack just puts Kirby in danger at all times
Suplex - Has to grab enemy to do damage thus always putting Kirby in danger
Wheel - must ram into the enemy thus putting Kirby in danger"

We can do PnP games, right?

D&D 3.5

S++: CoDzilla (Cleric, Druid for you uninitiated)
S+: Wizard, Artificer
S: Psion
A: Sorcerer, Warlock, Favored Soul, Crusader, Warblade, Swordsage
B: Barbarian, Scout
C: Ranger, Fighter, Rogue
D: Paladin, Bard, Monk
E: Samurai (CW)

Yup, magic ruled all, unless it was half-assed a la Paladins, Rangers and Bards.

I disagree with a majority of this list.

How is PLASMA near the bottom? You can charge it very quickly while guarding and you can fire off wave cannons like crazy if you mash on the d-pad. It may not be as strong as hammer but the fact that you can fire them off quickly and they’re still strong as hell more than makes up for it.

I can blast through Arena extremely fast just using Plasma. On minor enemies, the wave cannon (hack even the laser) is good enough to OHKO most enemies.

My list seems to make more sense.

Reposting just in case. Hammer could probably be moved to high but I don’t feel like changing it.

Kirby Super Star
Limited-use abilities disregarded except Copy

TOP
plasma - amazing range and power, quick to charge and can be charged while guarding. full charge gives you a great shield that protects and damages. helper character can fly freely and hold position in mid-air while guard-charging.

yoyo - quick with great range, can be aimed. one of the best dash attacks in the game. has a great throw move.

bomb - great range and can be aimed. bomb drops can be useful against certain bosses (reactor, whispy, twin woods).

sword - absurd range for the amount of damage it does. great air attacks, air chop can be used to stay in air forever against many bosses. full health gives you sword beam.

HIGH
mirror - reflection helpful against minor enemies and mini-bosses. mirror cut and dash do great damage. reflect force useful for pressure. guard is near impenetrable except for grabs.

cutter - extremely versatile. decent range and useful in the air. great “grab” move. lacks power, though.

fighter - smash punch/kick has range and power. vulcan jab and rising break useful against minor foes. other moves tend to be unsafe against most bosses.

parasol - great for defense. dash attack is fairly safe. useful in the water. decent power. somewhat slow. awkward to use in the air.

MID
beam - good range. wave beam can clear minor enemies out. all moves generally useful. not very powerful, especially in the air.

ice - decent power. ice blocks do tons of damage. subpar range, especially in the air.

hammer - excellent power. decent speed. great for stationary bosses. lacks range and can be cumbersome.

fire - fire breath great for pressure and can be aimed and extended. good dash attack, though it is unsafe against most bosses. most moves are unsafe. really bad in the air.

LOW
wing - flight is useful in some situations. rush attacks somewhat useful but feather gun is too weak. great throw, though. terrible for air combat, surprisingly.

ninja - quad-shock and air drop are great but hard to land. air drop won’t work on bosses and quad-shock has bad initial range. knives are weak. wall-climbing is pretty useless. ninja kick useful to an extent.

stone - great power and invincibility, but hard to land. useless on the ground. helper is amazing, though.

suplex - awesome power and fun to use. can potentially clear a room full of enemies out with one move. hard to use on bosses since it requires ammo. inhaling/spitting is just as effective so why use this at all? (note: I’m debating whether or not this should be higher.)

BOTTOM
jet - most good attacks require charge. charging seems too slow and uncharged moves lack range. grabs are cool but situational. flying is useless since it has poor horizontal movement.

wheel - weak, useless against bosses, useless in the air, unsafe on wall impact. can’t jump unless using helper. brakes are useless. easy to kill self in some areas. wheelie rider makes you too big a target though machine gun is powerful.

copy - pointless, even with helper. absolutely useless on bosses. marginally useful on mini-bosses.
