Ryu is god in any BoF.
Fact of life.
LOL, I always thought Wario was the best character. He is for me.
Alright, Iāll elaborate a little.
Rena - Your saving grace the entire game. She provides safety. Casts spells faster than anyone else and is the lifeline healer. But, she can also handle herself in the midst of battle fight enemies as long as you control her. Not a good idea to let her go off fighting herself in 2nd disc. When (if) Opera gets healing star, Opera is better but Rena is your lifeline the entire game.
Opera - With her in your party and healing star, you can have a 4 fighter party. Her best killer move IMO is actually Alpha On One. Just equip that and healing star and she doubles up as a fighter and healer for the whole party. The best air attack too. If she didnāt have healing star, sheād be mid-tier.
Precis - her moves have very fast execution, long range, and wide spacious hit areas. Barrier is the best multiple enemy attack in the entire game and does plenty of damage, executes extremely fast. She has a good air attack too. Just needs to keep up with her magic points.
Ashton - Ashton is good at first, but when he gets Hurricane Slash, he becomes excellent. In fact, HS is probably the 2nd best KM in the game behind barrier. That is one of the best KMs in the game because the hit area for that is huge and so is the damage. He has the best regular attack in the game. His defense is high
Claude - The best physical defense and a high quality character overall. Personally, I donāt control Claude so when you set him solo, he lacks the moves with huge hit areas the way Ashton and Precis has. Still, Claude has overall higher damage output and an excellent array of killer moves you use the entire game. He equips excellent weapons and armor too.
Dias - Crimson Diablos is one of the most damaging weapons. His damage output is low due to his killer moves not hitting many times but his best killer moves require very little mp. I prefer Hawkscream blast since it hits everybody in a straight line across the screen.
Chisato - Has very good spacious attacks too that do high damage and hit a hell of a lot. Her KM execution speed though for her best moves are fairly slow compared to others.
Bowman - His killer moves he gets early are horrible but after a few levels he gets some good ones that are long range and pretty spacious. Explosion Pills is excellent, like a weaker version of elemental (elemental is bad) version of Barrier. Walks extremely fast.
Ernest - Has the longest range regular attack. His best killer moves are solid but not great.
Celine - Unless the mage is Rena, mages are on the lower tier in this game. She is the most damaging mage but fighters always do more damage anyway. Plus, her spell casting time is the longest. Doesnāt heal.
Leon - better up close fighter than Celine but thats pretty irrelevant. Doesnāt heal. Has Unique spells but again, up close fighters do more damage in 1 attack than it does for mages to do in 10 spells (except some specialty spells you might be lucky to get).
Noel - Really weak healing, weakest magic power, worst regular attack. The only thing he has going for him is the Earthquake spell.
Billy Hatcher Egg Tiers (for Hatch multiplayer)
Top:
Striped Purple Egg: When this egg appears it will cause pretty much all players of the game to put their direct attention to it. The egg is not every rare and can hatch into one of two Tame animals. One being Richie, who is easy to aim and attacks in a nice comb formation in front of you. The other is Oritta, and he is the reason why this egg is top. Oritta is a homing animal that can attack multiple targets and kill in just two strikes, which it usually gets his just one usage. The Striped Purple egg hatches mighty fast and grows fairly large as well. It is always nice to have for yourself.
Purple Circled Egg: Another purple? This one gives you a Super Fruit. Use it and all other eggs will be hatchable. Unfortunately if this helps your opponents too. But if you use it correctly you will always gain more points from it, or get a animal advantage out of it.
Green Clock Egg: Freezes your tame beasts and other players for some time. This gives you time to steal eggs, hurt the winning player and take an quite a bit of an advantage in anyway you want. (Some may argue that sheep is better because you tame beasts are still in use but for now I will put this above)
Grey Heart Egg: Hatches into a Heart hat. Your health restores for as long as you wear it. It will keep you alive for much longer. You will be very difficult to kill and you will be able to keep points much more effectively.
Higher Tier:
Green egg with a yellow line: Hatches into Datch, a mount animal. Hatches the quickest of the mount animals though he is still worth 5 points. He doesnāt have as good of attacks as the other mounts but because he is much better for stalling and positioning he is by far the best mount.
Striped White Egg: Hatches into Rabbish, a tame animal. It attacks forward quickly and then explodes with light with every usage. Has huge range and does massive damage, also separates everyone from their eggs. Egg growth is quick and the egg is durable, it also is fairly common.
More coming soonā¦ (may even redo this one)
Card Fighters DS tiers:
Iām slightly ashamed to admit that Iāve played this game, but I think that beneath the āso bad itās badā story and the even worse AI, thereās a fairly kewl card game.
Top tier:
Green decks - effective, powerful cards that cost almost no force - Hibiki, Li Xiangfei, Benimaru, Eiji, etc. Leona is way too good.
Mid tier:
Yellow deck:
Tough to get momentum going, but once the ball gets rolling, the high HP of yellow characters combined with their BP-raising abilities makes them a force to be reckoned with.
Red decks - Havenāt used them too much, but they seem to be your standard burn decks: high BP, low HP.
Bottom tier:
Blue decks - most abilities do more harm than good, and are mandatory once you counterattack. They seem to contradict themselves in that the card abilities seem to emphasize keeping a few high-HP ticking time bombs while the card costs and stats themselves demand a steady stream of force-earning fodder.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door partner tiers:
God:
Goombella (Rally Wink+Danger Mario=GGPO game. Rally Wink is still broken otherwise)
Top:
Yoshi (very high damage overall, especially if Dangered)
Bobbery (does pretty much the same thing as Yoshi, but on different enemies and canāt be Dangered as well)
Mid:
Koops (Shell Shield is really good, but he has quite a few weaknesses)
Vivian (really versatile but lacks damage capabilities)
Low:
Flurry (nothing special that makes her worth using)
Ms. Mowz (you never really need to steal anything and sheās weak)
When it comes to badges, Spike Shield and Ice Power are too good to not use. Do whatever configuration you want, but make sure to put those two in.
Custom Robo
Rakansen>>>>>>>>>ALL
I guess that seems about right.
Pretty much the Blue deck requires way too much effort to be useful. There are good low cost/force building cards like Mia Fey and Axl, but too many blue characters are gimmicky (especially a lot of ones with those damn Circle abilities that use up force and canāt be turned off conventionally), and a lot of those gimmicky special abilities arenāt even that good.
Pretty much, I regard Blue as the deck in the game to use if you want a challenge or something more interesting that a bunch of low-cost, high-powered cards. I think that was pretty much intentional, given the lack of good low-cost Blue cards and the fact that you arenāt even given any Blue characters to start with.
During my first playthough, I pretty much stuck with a fairly even mix of Yellow and Green, although when I started getting the REALLY good green cards like Leona, Hibiki, Ton Pooh, et al. my deck became more slanted toward greener pastures.
Those green cards made the final boss battles way too easy, and once I beat Max I switched to an all Red deck for a change of pace.
Red is decent, just not as easy as Yellow and Green. Red definitely lacks the sheer amount of excellent low-cost cards that Green and Yellow have, but there are still some good ones like Sean. Unfortunately, Red also has the worst low-cost cards in the game, like Load Ran (yes, SNK misspelled her name), Tron, and shudder Mignon Beart.
There is no point in using Red unless you are going to use an ALL Red deck, though.
This makes Mudman one of the best characters in the game. If you have an all Red deck, get the first turn, and draw Mudman in your opening hand then the game is pretty much yours. Discard two cards, then play Mudman and use his ability and BAM!
Crap: Rakansen canāt take a hit though. I think Ray Warrior is better. He can eat all 4 wyrm hits and not go down.
Thatās quite a feat.
Rakansen is pretty much the Akuma of Custom Robo though. Anyway Rahu 3 owns them both for free. >_>
Yeah, if blue deck abilities were optional, theyād probably be 25% better. Just look at Yamazaki: heās got 700 BP, but his ability makes him take on the BP of his opponent. How many cards exactly have more than 700 BP? And what exactly is keeping my opponent from using a D card and then laughing in my face? Though some of the higher level blue cards have damn good abilities. One well-placed Sonic Hurricane from Guile can obliterate, and Geese Howard is just crazy.
BTW, I took a look at Mudmanās ability. It just screams tide-turner. Though my fave would still be Kim Kaphwanās Education. Mr. Big + Eagle + Kim = best victory of my life.
I had the feeling Toad was top tier in 64. But @ your SNES Mario Kart list. I thought Toad was pretty good too.

Jesus christ I hope this is a joke.
^Dear god, that annoys me more than almost anything on a forum. When somebody justs makes a post thatās a sentance loing disagreement with no reason as to WHY the disagreement is given. If youāre going to discuss it then DISCUSS IT. Itās based on my play experience. Itās not like people have picked this game apart in a gigantic community like this.
I can kind of understand the confusion. RoyalGuard is better suited for offence rather then defence (from what little I know; Iām raising my Gunslinger right now, and donāt use RG much), because Just Guarding allows you to not have to rely on hit-and-run tactics or going vis-a-vis. Itās also the most technically demanding, so it can seem useless if you arenāt completely familiar with the ins and outs of it, as well as the attack patterns of enemies.
I will not diss you. But the tiers if anything should go like this after I played it, and seen Gemasis, Tatsumarublack, and other top DMC players.
Quicksilver+Agni Rudra+Beowulf+Kalina Ann+Ebony&Ivory is broken.
DMC3 Weapon Tiers
Beowulf
Nevan/Agni Rudra
Cerberus
Rebellion (Itās very good its just that itās only that bosses arenāt weak vs. it)
Style Tiers
Quicksilver (Star Platinum+CE Bison)
Royal Guard
Swordmaster
Trickster
Gunslinger
Doppelganger (Fun. But worst style in the game.)
Wow, maybe I should take part in the DMC community. Nevan is THAT high? Holy crap. Never wouldāve guessed.
can see beowulf. Now that I recall, it doesnāt seem to have any weaknesses other than lack of crowd control.
Gotta watch some vids of this game.
Yeah. Preety much. there was a site back in the day called the hand vs eye but I dont know what happened to it. It had a bunch of dmc vids I could upload some vids 4 u thats if ya want emā.
Iād argue that Gunslinger is at least equal if not better than Swordmaster. Far safer and with similar damage, (JCāed 3 Shot Charge Shotgun demolishes bosses.) also, itās the easiest style to fight Vergil with. Jump Cancelled Killer Beeās with Artemis. Nevan spam with charged E & I shots are also quite effective and boost stylish very quickly.
Iād also put Royal Guard at the top simply because itās the most damaging style by far and itās so safe with guaranteed Just Defends through roll and straight jump. The only problem becomes actually getting hit.
I thougt GSger was the shit. It was the safest default style and certain weapons were beastly in this style.
Speaking of GS what about guns? In my current opinion, I would consider E&I to be top with the level three charge shot.
