Thousand Arms Tiers

God Tier

Meis - Good in all stats. He can play any role. He also has his summons and alot of them. So he can spam them for major damage which makes him into a boss killer. He can be in the frontline or the backrow. He gets 7 different summons in total while everyone else only gets 4 different specials. So his damage output is ridiculous and far greater then his comrades. Give him whatever accessory he needs for the role he is playing. Guard Bracer to boost defense if he is in the back. War Glove to boost attack and speed for random enemy encounters. The defense reduction won’t matter since Meis should one shot anything. Even if he doesn’t he can just block the enemy attack then cancel his guard and attack. He is a beast all around.

Top Tier

Muza - He is the tank of the game. High hp, high defense and high attack. Low elemental power, but he makes a great frontline character. He also has low speed. Give him a Speed Bracer to boost his speed and mitigate that weakness. He gets all his specials from Wyna so his damage potential goes through the roof even by the middle of disk 1. He is actually more useful then might as a lead for a bit until Meis gets more Summons. He and Meis are basically ties as the best character in the game, but Meis gets the nod since he can play any role and Muza is only useful as a lead.

Wyna - Pretty much a female version of Muza. She has higher elemental power then him, about equal to Meis. She is also faster and her hp, attack and defense are only slightly lower. As a character she is pretty much just as good except her specials will take longer to get as they are more spread out. She is slightly more versatile then Muza which is nice, and helps to make up for the fact that it takes longer to get her specials. Give her w/e accessory suits your needs as she is just a more versatile version of Muza.

High Tier

Soushi - Second fastest attacker in the game and the third strongest attacker after Muza and Wyna. He also has the highest critical hit and multi-attack stats. So he deals good damage already and he also has the best chances of doing high damage. Since he is so fast he can attack fast and if his opponent doesn’t die, he can defend to block the enemies attack. After he blocks he can cancel his guard and attack again. Rinse and repeat as needed. His specials are spread apart and he won’t be able to get his last special until it’s close to the end of the game. This is what really hurts him. That and the fact that when he joins the party he will be under leveled and he will never catch up completely. That said he is an awesome lead character for dungeon crawling. Give him a War Glove to boost speed and attack and just set him loose. He will one shot everything in sight. Since he has low hp and low defense he isn’t that great for boss battles, which gives him a very niche role as the lead for dungeon crawling. He also has low elemental power so he isn’t good as a support mage character either. But he is such an awesome lead that it makes up for all that.

Sodina - Stat-wise she is similar to Meis. She is the female version of Meis. She has the highest elemental power so she is the ideal mage. So stick her in the backrow and make her your primary healer. She has lower hp, attack, and defense then Meis. But her speed and EP are greater as well as her elemental power. So once again she is the best mage in the game due to her stats. She is ok as a lead actually, but her specials are spread out through different women across the world so that hurts her effectiveness as a lead character. The other thing that holds her back is that she leaves the party multiple times which can screw up her levels compared to Meis, Wyna and Muza.

Mid Tier

Kyleen - The female version of Soushi. She is the fastest attacker. She also has higher hp, defense, elemental power and ep then Soushi. You would THINK that she would be high tier and not Soushi. But Soushi’s speed is close enough to Kyleen’s that there really is no need to choose Kyleen over Soushi. Soushi however has much higher attack which makes him better for dungeons. Kyleen’s defense and hp isn’t enough for you to warrant picking her either. If that’s what you want then you can pick Muza, Meis or Wyna. If you want a good support character Sodina would be a better choice, although Kyleen’s speed is a nice asset when she is in the back since it let’s her do actions quickly to support the frontline. And of course, since you get her late, she will be underleveled just like Soushi which really hurts her. She does have a higher multi-attack stat then Soushi, but Soushi’s is still pretty high as well and so is his critical attack stat. Also her specials aren’t that good and have different effects that aren’t that useful.

Low Tier

Nelsha - She has high elemental power, but low…pretty much everything else. And she is far below the others in terms of levels. Still she comes in with alot of specials due to her outfits and she can get more from other people throughout the world. Other then that she sucks though. Her dresses are the only good thing about her which makes her better for boss fights.

Not surprised about Meis Muza and Nelsha’s placements. It was just everyone else I was completely lost on. But still interesting to see. I’ve always seen my sister use Meis/Muza/Wyna unless someone else was required to be in a team.

Yeah, you really don’t need anyone else. Muza is more less number 1 the majority of the game till towards endgame where Meis becomes stupid thanks to the amount of summons. Wyna is just female modified Muza who can play any role, but not as strong as him but still stronger then Meis. Soushi gets an honorable mention becomes he is SO good as a dungeon crawler thanks to his speed, solid attack and high crit/multi attack rate.

TvC is too high (should be an A-/B+)
A3 is way too high
ST not being something like SS tier is wrong
JJBA should be S
VS should be A+
CvS2 should be A+
A2 is missing

Lower tiers were done well though.

How is Power Stone 2 on there but the original, which is more of a fighter than party game isn’t present?:wonder:

You think more people like mvc3 than sf4? With better presentation? SMH man.,…

Sands of Destruction

Top Tier

  • Taupy - He’s a solid candidate for most broken JRPG character ever (although Citan from Xenogears is still high up there). His flurry attacks have the most hits, allowing him to spam his special attack, but he does great damage and is easily the fastest character in the game, with a stupidly high dodge rate. He also has the best buffs in the game. As if it wasn’t bad enough, but Taupy is the 2nd best healer in the game, after Rhi’a.

  • Kyrie - At the end of the game, he has the highest damage output of every character. He’s only there to do damage, but damn he does a lot of it, especially once his flurries are pumped up.

Mid Tier

  • Rhi’a - She’s only mid tier because Taupy and Kyrie are both overpowered. Rhi’a has the highest damage output of the mid tiers and she can prevent magic damage easily. She’s also the best healer in the game and has the highest magic defense. Her only problem is that she dies for free to physical attacks.

  • Agan - He’s not bad, but just not as good as the top tier and Rhi’a. He and Rhi’a can prevent all damage period since Agan has a move that nulls physical damage. Agan is a good character to counter many enemies since most enemies in this game tend to spam flurry combos and Agan has the most useful debuffs and status effect moves. His damage output is pathetic and his other stats are merely average. Agan also has the least useful set of quips in the game.

  • Naja - He’s sadly outclassed by every other character except Morte. His healing is only average, his damage output is barely better than Morte’s, and Agan can inflict more useful debuffs. Naja also joins so late in the game that he’ll be basically unusable if you didn’t get the Secret Recipe accessory during your one-time trip at the Sky Gaol since his CP is nonexistent when he joins, meaning that your other characters’ moves are so pumped up that Naja can never hope to catch up. Unless you turtle with Agan and Rhi’a, he is the most durable character in the game because he has the highest magic defense, a very good dodge rating, and high physical defense.

Low Tier

  • Morte - The fear that she strikes into people in-game is completely unwarranted. Her flurry attacks are bad, with her only being able to get 7 hits on 3 BP, meaning she’ll rarely get to use her special attack. She’s slow, has piss poor accuracy, and her life skills basically only buff her, which is ass when Taupy, Agan, and Naja can buff the whole party. The only time Morte is really useful are the rare occasions that you fight enemies with high physical resistance, since Morte has the highest damaging blood skills. Basically, any party is viable as long as Morte isn’t in it.

Can we get a tier list of Catherine stages?

from what i can remember.
Top Tier
Tau
Eldar
High Tier
Ork
Dark Eldar
Chaos
Mid Tier
IG
Spess Merheens
Low Tier
SoB
Necrons

Sisters of Battle could possibly jump up to mid, strong early game with seraphim rush/harassment also celes are very good in tier 2 but they lack good units late game. inferno pistol is godlike.

Crons are worst race in the game by far they have a very hard time vs most races and can be kited very easily, success hinges on how well you can micro the NL if he dies its game over.

I’m not sure if this has been posted, but why not?

MvC3 ENGLISH Voice Acting Tierlist (Revised, I’ve noticed a lot of the Voice Acting is obscured pretty badly by the sound effects. Listening to them in the Gallery changed my opinion so I’m being a little more generous)

A Tier (Nailed character perfectly tier)
Deadpool
Dormammu
Phoenix
Super-Skrull
Wesker

B+ Tier (Would’ve been A with a little more effort tier)
Dante
Hulk (moved him up all the way from C…he really captures Hulk’s mood without being over the top: ā€œMetal Man think he stronger than Hulk. METAL MAN WRONG!ā€ā€“that could easily be a laughable line with bad delivery. In this case it was NAILED)
Jill
Taskmaster (his ā€œAh, hellā€¦ā€ alone moved him up a lot)
Thor (Tempted to give him an ā€œAā€ just for all the ways he emphasizes "MJOLLNIR"
X-23

B tier
Chris
MODOK
She-Hulk
Shuma
Spencer

B- Tier (corny/hammy in a good way tier)
Arthur
C Viper
Doom
Haggar
Ironman (pulled him up from C. Don’t like his voice overall but he has some sense of subtlety)
Magneto
Spider-Man
Wolverine ( I was pretty hard on him before, putting him in D-tier. I feel he needed more effort in some of his special intros, but not that bad)
Zero

C Tier (barely passable tier)
Chun Li
Morrigan
Sentinel
Storm
Tron

D Tier (UNACCEPTABLE tier)
Akuma (I don’t know what I was thinking giving him a C before. He’s terrible)
Captain America
Ryu
Trish
Viewtiful Joe

F Tier (WTF is this shit tier)
Felicia
Hsien-Ko

Unrated:
Ammy

Kinda curious to one of these done on SNK or ASW games.

Hmm, not bad. Akuma looks to be getting shanked on that list, I love his ā€œUNSKILLEDā€ quote. Replace Akuma with Morrigan.

Sentinel needs to be a bit higher with all the ā€œAIR RAPEā€ jokes. Plus when he dies it puts a smile on everyone’s face.

Team and character tiers for Super Dodge Ball (NES version)?

The All-Star team is probably the best team in the game if Paul is on the outside.
I’ll try to make an actual list later.

Sorry. MvC3 ENG Akuma is beyond godlike. Should be right under Arthur in B- tier given your description of B tier.

Here we go…

**
**
T****he DooM tradition tierlist (on PC).
You know, arena war sequences, healthpacks, powerups, insane enemies…FUN.

S tier (shining beacons of shooting excellence)

  • Doom II
This game is still awesome, still fun. There’s not a single thing bad about
it. Except that disregarding its expansions, it was to be the first and only
step into mindless territory for quite a time.
    -** Painkiller**
So you’re skating on this really slippery ice, and there’s a ninja jumping
onto you, and you whip out your stakegun and THUNP! a solid yard of
sharpened wood pierces the fucker, propelling his havok-twitching body into
the great below. Painkiller’s combat is so solid you can break your arm
trying to punch it. Not to mention level design that gives a long-lasting
architectural erection, if not a straight orgasm. Oh, and music…and
    everything else, really.

A tier (YMMV regarding some aspects, but these are great across the board)

-** Final Doom** and Doom II Master levels
2 fan-made Doom II megawads made into official expansions and an assortment
of bonus maps from the community. More of the same, expect harder and
trickier. Seeing as how a lot of the custom wads make vanilla seem
effortless, these probably shouldn’t be here, but official stuff’s official,
must add.
-** Doom** / The Ultimate Doom
The ever-so delightful fork in the road of FPS evolution - both a vanilla
corridor shooter expanded into Quake and beyond, and a mindless arcade
(especially with Ultimate’s ā€œThy Flesh Consumedā€ episode), that seemingly
went as far as Doom II before being tucked into a closet in favour of smart
AI and the importance of tactics.

  • KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child
Predating the first Serious Sam game by a year, Psycho Circus follows
closely in Doom’s stead, offering both corridor encounter with lone moneters
and arena events with shit literally falling onto you from the sky. Lots of
Circus’ seemingly gimmicky stuff became a know-how of modern shooters, like
a dedicated hotkey for launching grenades or a universal zoom-in as a
precursor to iron sights. Not the most stellar levels, but interesting to
explore, and the weapons had a really, really good balancing to them.
Overlooked by many, Circus is an honestly awesome game. Bonus points if
    you’re a KISS fan.
  • Serious Sam: The First Encounter / its HD remake
Offically known as the necromancer that revived the Doom tradition, Sam did
things most developers thought isn’t cool to do and did them with a
kamikaze yell. Both it and its (abolutely bloody good) 1:1 HD remake got
hours upon hours of fun especially in co-op, yet both lack the elusive grip
and precision of Doom and Painkiller, feeling more loose in terms of
movement and shooting, which makes it score less in my book. Still,
pretty levels, fun weapons, weird enemies, good memories.
  • Serious Sam: The Second Encounter
MORE, BIGGER and…better? The second part of Serious Sam 1 cranked
practically everything up to eleven, but at times it feels like the game
loses the sense of proportion, continiously throwing enemies when you would
expect a break, dragging the level when you would expect it to end and being
silly where you would expect it to keep a straight face. Compared to Serious
Sam II, the YMMV factor with this one is subtle, but certainly there.
  • Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter
Unlike the First Encounter and its HD recreation, this one is rated a tad
lower simply for not being a 1:1 remake. Sloppier work than HD:FE, mostly
noticeable with minute details like blurry textures in plain sight, absence
of the original intro sequence or and custom gravity being replaced with its
imitation. Although stuff like that can be overlooked (and the gravity issue
in particular is technically justified and present in only one level) it
still feels off. On the other hand, Fusion pack that imports all of the
HD:FE levels into HD:SE is a big fat bonus point.

B tier (good, but lack a certain something)

  • Serious Sam II
"They changed it, so it sucks", - as almost every ā€œhardcoreā€ Sam fan will
say, - this sequel’s only real problems are its questionable slapstick
comedy, Sam moving just a bit too slow for a permanent war sequence, and a
leap from realism mixed with weird to fantasy mixed with bizarre, something
most fans of any game have troubles adapting to. Otherwise, varied weapons,
even more varied and differently themed levels (the game is seriously huge)
    and stupid fun enemies.
  • Painkiller - Battle out of Hell
Official expansion, mostly running on maps that didn’t make it into the
original. Not as polished, new weapons aren’t exactly amazing, and some card
conditions grab you by the balls, but is nevertheless a quality product.
There’s great fun to be had by all.
  • Will Rock
Serious Sam clone, led by americans, developed in Russia - apart from
generally lifeless and boring levels, is really good, with quite an
entertaining arsenal and a bestiary to unload it into.
  • Hard Reset
The most recent attempt at giving Painkiller a proper successor. This one’s
got some good action (though its primary appeal seems to be the graphics and
a classic cyberpunk setting), but falls short on variety. And similar to
Sam II, the protagonist feels just a little too slow for the level of action
this game tries to achieve. Good, but not that good.

C tier (playable and enjoyable…if you’re not asking for much)

  • Painkiller - Overdose
Fan mod gone retail - unbalanced for the most part (no bunny-hopping to
even the odds against fast enemies, some rage-inducing card conditions
etc.), but with a lot of content - props to its authors for actually making
original levels, enemies and weapons, and not just reusing the vanilla ones.
  • Dreamkiller
Painkiller clone from the Overdose studios. A bit on the bland side despite
the premise and sporting the ever-so ridiculous two-weapon limit, still does
things the right way most of the time and is overall pretty good for a
    clone.
  • Painkiller - Redemption
Dropping 1000 AI mooks into original game’s multiplayer levels is stupid
    lazy, but kinda works.

D tier (utter shite, but guilty pleasure for some)

  • Painkiller - Resurrection
Snore…well, I guess they tried, but that’s just not what a Painkiller game should
    be.
  • Nitro Family
A korean Sam clone on Sam’s engine - broken beyond repair (did anyone make
it to the last levels? Hoo-boy, that’s some Rainbow Edition shenanigans
right there) but…does some things right and is at times somewhat fun.
    But no, don’t play it.

Not mentioned

  • Serious Sam 3: BFE
Not out yet. Lots of hope for this one. Fingers crossed.

  • Necrovision / Necrovision: Lost Company
Painkiller engine and ex-People Can Fly developers, it still stumbles around
the narrow paths of vanilla shooters rather than running into the braindead
open. It honestly attempts to reenact the hordes of its predecessor with
challenges, combos and Fury, but its efforts are thwarted by clunky
movement, realistic weapons…it’s to-o-o-o slow. People say it gets better,
but it apparently takes a square ton of patience to get to the good stuff.

  • Bulletstorm
A genuine People Can Fly product. While fun, its cover-based gameplay with
health regen and AI being way too smart for cannon fodder knock the game
right into modern vanilla territory. The whole skillshot system is
suspiciously similar to Necrovision’s combos (seems like that was the next
big thing for the team before becoming split), though works a lot better.
The game’s fun, no denying that, but it’s a different kind of fun.
