Were moves classified as physical/special based on their type in that one still? Or was it a per move thing like recent ones…
physical/special
im pretty sure.
Yoshi’s Island
S: Brown Yoshi, Yellow Yoshi
D: Everyone else.
I mean like, are all Fire moves special or is Flamethrower Special and Fire Punch Physical? Regardless, im sure Mewtwo is gdlk.
Arn’t all Yoshis are the same in that game?

there was no split in physical/special moves in G3. In other words, Fire Punch was still considered a Fire move, thus counting as a special atk.
so weedle isnt worth leveling to 100 no ?
unless you’ve got time to kill, I’d say so.
Yikes, I hated that.
Slowbro low tier? I know he was beast back in r/b/g/y amnesia till hes maxed then ohko everything and live through everything.
in the first Gen the special stat counted towards both your special atk AND special def. So bascially, amnesia was pretty broken (especially on Snorlax and Mewtwo)
slowbro in firered is still a good pokemon, but there’s more things like dark moves and stuff that hits really hard that can KO
Hell no. They all have vastly different… colors.
Anyway, it was a joke. But seriously, Yellow Yoshi is godlike in any game he appears in.
can any one make tiers for custom robo GC? specifically class, same thing for gotcha force with force units.
What about tier lists for FFVII and VIII
Saw the one for IX and I agree with it, Quina is godlike
A: Strike Vanisher, Little Raider
B: Shining Fighter, Trick Flyer
C: Aerial Beauty, Metal Grappler
D: Funky Big Head
At least that’s how I see it. But I haven’t played in a while. Any classes missing?
If I remember correctly, in VII it depended on who got most hits out of their limit breaks, since it was possible to raise the damage to 9999 per hit. I think the best ones were Cloud, Cid, Barret and Yuffie. Yuffie has extra usefulness because of her last weapon which can morph enemies into items. Also I’m not 100% sure on Barret but I think Cloud and Cid were definitely above the others, and Tifa, Vincent, RedXIII and Cait having total garbage for limit breaks.
In VIII Squall was better than anyone else until someone figured out it was possible to cheese Zell’s limit break to do even several times more damage than Lionheart by repeating the two fastest attacks as quickly as you can. The third I think was Irvine who got almost the same damage as Lionheart but only with fast ammo and spazzing on the button really fast. The girls were crap, except I think there was some trick that could make Rinoa’s mode do lots of damage (it still sucks because of you can’t control her), and you can cheat with Selphie to get ‘The End’ every time if you open the lid of the PSX, but I wouldn’t count that…
Ah yeah, I would imagine that Cloud/Barret/Cid is the best team
What about Legend of Dragoon, playing through that nice, disc 3 now and it’s great!

The best limit is not even at LV4 power, maxed Ungarmax from Barret is the most dmging limit in the game IIRC. I think maxed Highwind even takes more than Omnislash. But still, nothing can beat Aerith’s Limits. They are truly broken, they grant invicibility and can raise the others limit grid. Her only drawback is that you can’t use them whole game. Many tier list have Yuffie at mid but I don’t see why. Not only does she have good limits, but she is the best morpher in the game.
The problem with RedXIII is outside Stardust Ray his limits leave something left to be desired. Lunatic High is a poor man’s version of Big Guard, no reason to use that. Vincent doesn’t have great limits, Choas is a joke. I think his LV3 Nightmare is far better, Tifa can’t get impressive dmg off limits either. They all hit once and can’t get anywhere near the others dmg output. Slots is random, Cat Sith is joke character but I’ve once seen somebody instant kill jenova with it lol I guess that counts for something.
I believe there was a way to make Tifa hit 9999 before anyone else in the game with a certain setup. Her weapons had really goofy effects that you can use. I would think she would be around RedXIII, if not slightly better than him because he doesn’t have anything real outstanding. Plus Vincent and Cait Sith’s limits just weren’t good at all (except for the random insta-kill on slots which I believe had really abysmal chances).
Legend of Dragoon I think it was something like this. I know the best team possible is Meru/Haschel/Dart but someone can probably can shed light on Dart and Albert a bit more because they might be equal. Though I believe Rose was better than those 2,but weaker than Haschel.
Top
Meru (Fastest in the game and great additions)
Haschel (The mustache)
High
Rose (Divine Buster and had great additions)
Mid
Dart (His additions are okay but you have to use him anyways)
Albert (this one I’m unsure of, but I think he was worst than Dart)
Low
Shana/Miranda (1 hit attack and since the magic system was situational she wasn’t that great)
Lowest
Kongol (Slow as hell. Everyone can run circles around him)
I played through the GBA version recently, so here’s my take on the tier list for the original Breath of Fire. I included merged forms as their own characters.
~SS Tier~
Ryu: After you obtain the Agni form, any challenge the game would otherwise have is completely gone, including the secret final boss which can only be accessed with it. Combines all characters into one, is nearly impossible to kill and always deals max damage to all enemies every round. Not only the best character in the game, but also the most powerful incarnation of Ryu in the entire series since he can stay in his dragon forms forever without losing AP every round. Highest non-merged defense and second highest HP and attack power behind Ox when both have their ultimate weapons.
~S-Tier~
Puka (Karn + Bo + Gobi + Ox): Maximum HP, high speed, and huge attack power. Like Ryu Agni Mode, is very difficult to kill. Renders every merge-able character (and all other merged forms) obsolete at end game. Plus he’s a dragon-duck with a beard.
~A Tier~
Bleu: High HP and big damage potential with her final spells. Since she can’t be merged with anyone, she pretty much always has a place on your team.
~B Tier~
Doof (Karn + Bo + Ox): Very high attack and HP, but you only have this form for a very short time before you upgrade to Puka.
Shin (Karn + Bo + Gobi): Great attacker mid-game and is very fast, but becomes worthless late game once you get Doof or Puka.
Ox: Highest non-merged HP and attack in the game with his ultimate weapon, and has access to Cure 3 (despite not getting Cure 1 or 2) which is good emergency healing since it ignores his low speed and always goes first. No real reason to use on his own once you get access to Doof or Puka forms, but good for mid game and even decent at end.
Bo: Best damage-dealer in your group early game with his Fry spell, but quickly becomes merge fodder mid-game since he doesn’t learn any new spells past his original ones. Still manages to have the 3rd highest non-merged attack power with his ultimate weapon.
~C-Tier~
Nina: Lowest health in the game and mediocre damage output, plus her attack spells only work on undead. The game’s only dedicated healer, but by late game you won’t really be needing much of it. Can be used as a 4th slot filler for boss fights end game since she can’t merge with anyone.
Mogu: Low health and respectable attack power, but can’t stack up to most of the other super attackers like Puka or Ryu late game. His only spell, Dig, is just an inferior version of Bleu’s Flee spell. Useful for random battles as a 4th slot filler end game since he can’t merge with anyone.
Karn: Fast, and is a great attacker early game if you get his Icy Dagger weapon as soon as he joins your party (much earlier than the game intended), but by mid game onward is only used for merge forms.
Gobi: Low health, low attack power, and his spells only work underwater. Only useful for merging, transporting you, and running his shop to get you some ultimate weapons.
~D-Tier~
Debo (Karn + Gobi + Ox): Worthless since this form can only be used while underwater, which you’ll never fight in anyway since Gobi can just transport you through on his own in Big Fish mode.
