Tiers for non-fighting games?

characterwise pretty sure Fang rapes. With something like Snow coming up close behind. But i’m talking stats there rather than class. (which is probably going to have to be broken down to anyway.) Even then it’s really gonna be Fang as she already excels in about 4 of the classes (commando/Ravager/Sentinel/Medic?)

EDIT: And Sazh’s blitz attack suffers unless they’re literally in your face or up close.

So I guess you would have to go by pure stats and the amount of classes the char’s do well in?

you can do it various ways:

  • Everyone’s 3 starter classes maxed out
  • Fully maxed out in everything
  • Base stats

considering you’d be missing a chunk of abilities/spells/extra stats if you go by the first idea, this is the closest you’d get to basing it outside of class tiers/maxed characters.

God Tier: True Dragon Sword/Blade of the Archfiend combo…nuff said…well almost. Only bad thing about it is that some of the best combos can’t be fully done to big enemies…but they’ll probably be dead after a couple of slashes anyway so…

High tier: TDS by itself: Fast is hell, hits like a freight train, a LOT of invincibility frames, Triple Swallow with increased critical rate, anything unlucky enough to be caught by the regular super move is either overkilled or SEVERELY mauled. I can’t say enough good about it so I’ll move on.

Dragon Claw and Tiger Fang: Pretty much the TDS/BOTAF minus the stupid damage and the seriously fucked up looking combos. Abuse that 360 technique!!! It’s TOTALLY invincible!! Kinda on the slow side and has some nasty open spots if the enemy chooses to just fuck over you but it’s still a superb weapon in the right hands.

Lunar Staff: Remember when this thing was almost useless in NGS1? Someone at Tecmo/Team Ninja said “Fuck that shit!”. This thing hits EVERYWHERE at blinding speed, at Lv 2 it starts de-limbing Van Gelfs so fast, The Ps3 can’t keep up with the amount of arms and blood flying. It actually does real damage now which is a big plus. Jumping square, triangle tracks like a mother fucker.

Only problem is…it’s kinda hard to stop Ryu once he gets going so you may end up getting your shit pushed in if the enemy decides to activate autogaurd, which they LOVE to do when they start getting fucked up too much. Supers are EXCELLENT. The regular one, charged to full, kills pretty much anything in the vicinity of the flame circle at the end. 360 super actually has good useage from both versions as the regular one kills crowds of shit FAST and the bigger version is that + it launches whoever was left into the air for an Izuna. VERY good weapon indeed.

Mid Tier: Scythe: Great range, good power, can kill regular enemies pretty fast, super is pretty useful for clear crowds out and cheesing bosses out in CO-OP when you have a good partner who knows how to dodge good. Werewolf Killer number 1.

Only problems are: it’s slow, not a lot of invinc frames, has stabbing animations that leave you in harm’s way if if there are projectile firing enemies around. Wizards have a field day on your ass if you suck with this thing.

Enma Fang: It has range to rival the Lunar/Scythe, it hits pretty hard, has a very good super. But Dabi it ain’t…Invincibility frames have been reduced DRAMATICALLY, slow, has more vulnerable/open spots than any weapon on this list…I generally don’t use it for much except to get Van Gelfs off me when I first get it in the Statue of Liberty. But some are pretty good with it so…try it, you may like it.

Low Mid: Kusarigami: If the enemy FINALLY gets close to you after braving the torrent of blade, it’s probably missing something, Lv2 only grab combo lets you de-limb lesser enemies outright, 360 attack hits farther and wider than it looks, so abuse it, the super is EVERWHERE and kills shit very fast, Werewolf killer number 2.

Only problem is, with the amount of hits you are doing, the damage rate is not very good at all. Without doing a super somewhere along the way, it could take you long as a mother fucker to kill a claw ninja on MN. And you should know they make you pay dearly for trying to charge up around them. And that autogaurd thing applies here also as this thing is very hard to wield without getting your head caved in by robots and other big shit.

Tonfa: The super on this thing is SO GOOD, no matter which one you use! It kills robots and Van Gelfs outright on Lv 1 charge!! Lv 2 has him teleporting around, adminstering DEATH to anything that’s not a boss. Some of the combos on it are just…tear jerking, as they look so bad ass, ESPECIALLY the insane looking, Kinnikuman inspired throw combo he gains…so beautiful…

Too bad it’s worthless outside of just charging up and flashy combos. If you’re good at on-land charging, you’ll love it. Just put it away when the boss comes or they’ll fuck your ass sideways with one sock on…just to clean the the cum and blood off them after it’s over.

Low Tier: Talons: Lots of fists and feet blades flying around making you seem invincible at first, Flying Swallow into Izuna is deadly on anything thing under Mentor. Getting your foot stuck in someone’s head>Anything that’s been done in any action game to date.

Bad part: No range at all, damage/criticals don’t rack up like you think they should, super is pretty but unremarkable, autogaurd bait to the fullest.

Flail tier: Flail…don’t use this unless you like trying to kill a tiger with a grain of rice…Eh…It’s got some nice combos and the super has you all over the room…but…yeah…

This is just my personal choice. You may actually love using the weapons I listed as low but this is just my taste.

I’m making one at the moment.

Dude, Raph is top tier in this game. Followed by Mikey at high tier, then Leo and Don at mid tier.

To compensate for Raph’s low range, they pretty much made him a flurry machine. He attacks fast and swiftly, giving the enemy little to no time to strike or trade. His shorter range and speedy movement makes it easier for him to slam and throw foot enemies. He also has the best mobility outta all the turtles. Mikey is also good because he’s like Raph, but slighty slower in terms of attacks and mobility, but he’s has the best Special attack to compensate.

You’ll really notice the flaws with Leo and Don when you play on the hardest difficulty. The AI attacks more frequently, and their attacks are fast and swift like Raph’s, except with less range. Leo and Don (mostly Leo) don’t have too much problem keeping enemies at bay and out of range to get smacked, but in this game, it’s easy to get surrounded, especially on Hardest difficulty. Sometimes, the enemies will swarm around you and alternate blows. Leo and Don have a harder time clearing out agressive AI that swarm from all side because they don’t hit as fast as Mikey and Raph. Leo’s special attack helps out a bit with ths problem, but with the long recovery time and the funky, advancing hitbox, it’s possible for Leo to whiff a number of enemies and get hit before he can do anything else. Bodyslams help keep Leo and Don from getting surrounded in hardest mode, but that option is gone for the riding stages (Sewer Surfin/Neon Night Riders). Basically, it’s impossible for Leo and Don to play those stages by themselves on hardest difficulty without losing a life.

How the hell is Raph top when he has no range and gets swarmed to hell?

You are basically saying that his own tools aren’t what make him good, just the fact that he can throw enemies around. Ok, I could see this making him better then Don, maybe even as good as Leo, but better then Mike? Nah, son. I’m not buying it. I’ll play through the game again and see for myself though.

Mike is only a little bit slower with slightly worse defense BUT, the best offensive game overall and the best mob control. Nah. He’s the best IMO.

I don’t see how inheritor can be better than Pogo IMO. Pogo is a much beter tank and can do quite of abit of damage as well. Although things like that don’t really matter when you have sundown, but nice to see somone else has played them gem xD.

I would flip the talons and the flail. The extend air combos that the flail can do is a life saver. Overall it has better decapitations, better strength, and doesn’t have nearly as much downtime in between whiffed attacks unlike the talons.

Now really…I’ve witnessed you trying to kill a Van Gelf with Flails…it wasn’t a pretty sight LOL!

I was just fucking around with them. Next time it will be different.

Mikey is legit. No doubt. He may not hit as fast as Raph, but his special is miles better. I could say him and Raph are tied for top.

I attempted to play through Survivial Mode as Leo on the Hardest difficulty setting. In Survival Mode, you only get one life. I was doing fine for the first two stages. When I got to Sewer Surfin, it was hell for Leo. Foot surfers pretty much surrounded me againist my will, and without the bodyslam option I got smacked around a number of times before I could get out of the pinch. It happened a couple more times again, and with all the other harzards ( Floating Spikes, Spike fence and the Pizza Monsters) I ended up losing my life. Game over. Leo just couldn’t swing fast enough with his normal attack againist attacking Foot, and his special is no where near as good as it was in the OG arcade version.

With Raph, I can literally stab my way out of a mob assault. It’s that fast. Raph doesn’t trade as much as the rest of the turtles because of his overall speed in general. The only drawback is his range, and tbh, it’s not that short. He’s got some pretty bigass sais in this game.

Switch Leo with Mikey and that’s a wrap.

Reason being is that Specials don’t take away energy and spamming Leo’s makes you damn near unfuckwitable and that Katana gives him an advantage in reach. Leo pretty much breaks the fucking game because he’s too balanced.

Final Fight One Tiers

MUHFUCKIN OH MY GOD TIER!!!
Alpha Cody -Does massive damage, can still do the Final Destruction infinite and has the best defense in the game.

EYES OF BUSHIN TIER
Alpha Guy -Only reason Alpha Cody is better is because of his damage output and defensive power.

The Tiers of the Last 21 Years
Cody
Guy
Haggar

Hasn’t changed one bit. Cody and Guy have infinites and Haggar doesn’t.

Leo is NOT better then Mikey. There is just no way. Mikey attacks faster runs faster and has the best special by FAR. I been messing with Raph and he is indeed a beast. He’s hella fast. You can’t play him like a conventional turtle though. Lots of jump kicks and just getting in niggas faces so you can do repeated slams for crowd control. Mikey just runs around raping everything.

If we were talking about TiT OG version then that is Don’s show all day. Reason being all the Turtles were the same except for their weapon. OG Mikey is 2nd best no matter how you play it out. In the remake all that speed and combo ability don’t mean shit if you can’t take a hit. Leo is just too broken in the remake to say otherwise. If it’s any consolation, Mikey is God in the the first TMNT Arcade Game. His special is the best in the game and handles crowd control really well.

Mikey doesn’t get hit. That’s the thing. His special is far more spammable then Leo’s.

But for the sake of research we have to agree that Mikey on occasion will get hit and it will do more damage than normal. And on top of that his special is a lot more dangerous to use because that shit has a lot of recovery time. Leo’s special hits completely around him and he can move in any direction and it’s safe as fuck to spam. Because as soon it’s done he can go right into another one. Let’s put it like this, Leo is the better overall turtle because of his balance and his special being better. There are players like you who can get Mikey’s ability surface but out of the gate Leo comes fully broken with no extra shit to do.

Mikey’s gets him out of sticky situations alot better cuz he flies far and his basic combo is much better and he attacks faster. Why would he get hit more then Leo? Yeah his defense is bad, so what? Don’t get hit. It’s entirely possible. This game isn’t exactly ridiculously hard compared to other beat em ups.

Fairly certain all specials have the same recovery though.

How does Leo having better defense make him a more effective character? It doesn’t. Mikey’s special is better then Leo’s. You can’t even argue this really. Mikey just plows through everyone. Mikey has far more going for him then just that too. He has the best basic combo in the game which games him ridiculous crowd control and his speed lets him get in hard and fast for ground slam which is awesome crowd control.

You said Leo can instantly go into another special? Instantly…as in 0 frames of recovery?

It’s not nice to lie.

Alien Vs Predator Capcom Coin Op-

First off, none of these characters suck. To be honest, they are all a bit too good for the game, and can single coin it on level 8.

10- Linn - Insane Mobility and combos. Slide->Dash->Fireball is great crowd control. Gun is crazy broken. It’s Fast, easily aimed, and you can cancel the reload time altogether by superjumping. Best Two Button Special in game (w/Katana). She also has the quickest KO’s on several bosses

9 Predator Hunter- Completely retarded bouncing around abilities, but takes skills to use properly. Can Cancel Tiger Uppercut with Overheat for great combos. Cannonball is way too good.

8.5 Predator Warrior- A slightly dumber version of hunter. Safest/Easiest character to play by far. Easiest to solo. Absolutely nothing wrong with him. Actually is a bit better w/o his weapon, but loses spear dive.

8 Schafer- Takes the most skill be competitive, but still a powerhouse. Dashes are great, as are shorthops, but you’ll take a lot of damage trying to grab fools on level 8. Gun kinda sucks. Works really great in coop play if using Linn’s katana.

Cadash Arcade Coin Op- (not the TG 16 or Sega Version)

God Tier-Priestess- The Shield Spell is crazy broken. You can walk through fire with it on. Takes several hits with no knockback.
Her weapon is the best the game. Not as much range as the Ninjastars, but can go through floors, walls, and ceilings.
Can heal herself and even add more time to the game.

High Tier-Mage- gets some pretty bad ass spells to spam all the time. Bosses are cake. EXPs like crazy. Only problem is having to club undead keeps him down a tier.

Mid Tier- Ninja- Nothing wrong with him, but nothing awesome either.

Low Tier- Fighter- No range, No Magic, Hard time dealing with flying/overhead enemies. The suck.
