Third character for S/D Thread... take a look, you know you're curious

I start Sentinel against Cable most of the time and try to make the most of it since a good player won’t vipe sentinel with only one special. The problem with starting Strider first is if Strider happens to get viped then your sentinel will have little chance comming in. IMO it is risky starting Strider first unless of course you feel it will do better (Depending on which character you are better at using and etc)

As for juggling combo. I think you mean when they are in the air and he has them in orbs. If thats what you mean, then what he does is keep juggling them until the end of orbs, then he calls out Sentinel drones then that juggles and he launches. I assume you’re talking about that.

No, I wasn’t talking about that. I meant like when he’s chasing a runaway Storm and does i.e. a sj. fierce and hits her w/ orbs and then some stuff happens :confused: and Strider ends up standing on the ground with Storm still in a combo. I dunno…

I see. Thats easy. The sj fierce with orbs activated cancels fly screen and Storm just stays stuck in the orbs.

Well, now that i have triumphed over another complexity that is Strider Hiryu; I gonna go play GGXX#R because no one in Dothan even plays MvC2 anymore. :sad:

(in cornor) lp+doom, lp, j.hp, j.hk, land, j.lp,j.lk,j.lp, delay, j.lk, (getting a bit slower as u go) j.hp, otg j.hk. is there a way to modify that so orbs can get in?

btw i’m starting to play my original team again (team clockwork) been about a year or so since i last seriously used it , too much Mags and Storm :nunchuck: … any new discoveries or gimmicks i may have missed in the past year about strider ?

I’m a strider player, i tried to move on to rogue, but i couldn’t… i’m a strider player.

Anyway, I’ve done some s/d studing and right now, i strongly say that CABLE/Strider/Doom is by far the best Strider/Doom team. As i said before, almost all Strider/Doom teams are Doom dependant AND THAT MY FRIENDS IS THE BIGGEST CON; Whether your second member is Sentinel, Ironman, Cyclops, or even Storm, they are still hanicapped because Doom is the only USABLE assist. However, this can’t be literally said with Cable. Cable for some reason can use Strider’s ** assist very well - you no longer have the handicapped syndrome. Cable/Doom is also very difficult to fight against, and it is allot better than Sentinel,Storm,Cyclops,Magneto,Ironman/Doom. Cable/Doom is very aggrivating, forcing the opponent to be impatient and very reckless.
Sure Drones is Strider’s 2nd best assist but it’s not really needed. Cable provides a descent AAA, it throws the opponent closer to the corner. Anyway, the reason why i say that Cable/Strider/Doom (Team Cisco) is the best is mainly because it doesn’t suffer the crap chemistry syndrom.

if you ever catch storm with that team, let me know because i had no luck :clap:

Cable/Doom shuts down sorm pretty well, droping doom and throwing out Air viper beam’s completly stops her from doing allot, also you’re Doom is in an AAA-Safe-position. Of course, doom+Beams isn’t the only (not even best) strat for Storm…

The World of Stryder, (whoever IMO iron man), capcommando

didnt see anyone post the combos with stryder… figured i’d post MINE ALL MINE YOU COPY EM I SHALL KILL YOU!! cough excuse me… anywayz… ok first off theres some facts you must know about me and the people i know and why i dont use stry/doom

We all know who clockwork is and that his stry/doom is simply the best.
What you guys dont know is that my friend Giovanni (Real Name you can ask clockwork about him and what he said) has a better stryder than clockwork (STRYDER ONLY NOT STRYDOOM) (FACT!! clockwork said so) now what clockwork didnt know is that i taught Mr. Gio a hella lot of shiz and combos. (although i would say the damn master has been surpassed by the grasshopper… bastard… lol) anyways… i got some pretty sick combos with these 3 chars (stry,iron,capcom)

let me start with the iron man anti air assist one that does 45% on magneto’s (and relative chars) :badboy:

launch+iron man, fierce (into iron man) pause(falling) fierce again (iron man hits summore) dash backwards launch double j combo, grab (does more than u think)

corner combo:: (i love this one… its so fun… yes i kno you can roll sue me)

rh grab (throws into wall) cr. lt. kick+iron man assist, standing med. punch, fierce, roundhouse (iron man zap zap zap) (zap) :stuck_out_tongue: launch, combo here so u can get the fierce, rh… OR fierce pause they land (in air still) rh j. light kick, med punch, lt kick (timing is screwy for that kick) land jump again same thing fierce roundhouse (no its not an infinite ive tried) (this does some nasty damage considering its stryder

Commando Assist (Anti Air) yes they can roll off of trips big whoop but no one expects trips from stryder

combo-> cr. rh (trip)+commando, send out a pooch (his sabertooth) TELEPORT to the other side (fierce if ur on the left) commando hits (ow) doggy hits (ow) poof u appear, lt. kick, med punch,land, 1234 fierce roundhouse. This does alot and also u can reset it after the ^^^ lt. kick med punch by dashing underneath to the other side, also the corner grab combo works with commando u just have to move a bit faster.

both of these cause quite some pain… 40%+ and this is stryder were talking about

combos with stryders Assist.uh… the teleport kick on… forgot the name of the type… second one… i have lots but ill tell u my coolest one (imo… shrug)
USE COMMANDO::
lt. punch, med. kick (u can call him on either of <<<these hits)+stryder,down fierce (lightning slash) fierce_captain fire, cancel to sword, strider hits before they can roll, all the sword hits (even the last big one, any character anytime)

MWAHAHA phear me… anyways ima go now

tell u the truth i use CapCom and Jin or Doom and Jin with strider

I am still a nub, but…

My team is IM (aa), Strider (variety), Doom (aa)

I like IM because he has an easy infinte and can use S and D to set it up easy. He is also good to build meter with since the infinite builds meter fast. Also, DHCing from his proton cannon is good. You can do weird but good stuff like…

Proton canncon DHC into the strider boros > call IM and combo off the assist, or you can call doom and do the trap etc. You can also tag in IM and do the infinite off the pop (since the tag in combos).

Sent is prolly the best 3rd member, but I like IM more.

I can say that drones as an assist are very reliable against stoping some rushdown, sentinel, etc.This is often overlooked when olaying sentinel, strider, Doom and I think it is a mistake. You should try using to Striders advantage.

No. It’s just a hit w/ orbs in super jump mode and you end up juggling them on the ground. What you’re talking about is much harder. I don’t think you’re getting orbs in that combo unless you change it so you combo them off the Doom assist.

“Team L.K” is ok, but the true team is “Team Down Feirce!”

Someone should make a team Magic Series and be done with it.

Not bad but if the opponent has mastered blocking strider i’d prefer doom…
