Things That Annoy You About Fighting Games and the People that Play Them

Holy fuck you are ignorant about alot of things in fighing games.

Viola wasn’t that bad tbh.

coughGoenitzcough

I have a new one, altho it’s kind of specific.

I find the (*&$@#@# mega-expensive FGC profiteer shirts annoying.

They cost more than concert shirts, and that’s F’d up.

Concerts have overpriced tickets and CDs and concessions and shit that all add to the profit. When you have multiple sources of profit like that, it’s easy for their shirts to be cheaper.

for real, i aint paying like 50 bucks for no whack ass AHVB shirt

I’m annoyed that i can’t get a Team NAH shirt o.o all contacts have failed

It’s no different from other heavy combo based games, whoever gets hit first has to put down their controller. It just happens that in MvC3 you have to sit through a cut scene longer than previous games.

THE WAR on SHANG: The WAR REPORT.

Hunting Down Shang Yang In Virtua Fighter Final Showdown, the little troll with a big mouth from Boston.

This Wolf player is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with fighting game players. Actually when I went To Boston Last April for the PAX EAST Final Showdown Preview, I was hoping to own this loser offline. He didn’t show, but one of his disciple’s Masang Lion did.

I hate it when these so called pro-players don’t even show up to events in their own backyard. Currently this pansy has resorted to being an online warrior, and he and Cheif Flash (who he is hiding behind) are running something called the r*pe room. Who do they think they are? Uday and Qusay Hussein?
You saw how THEY ended up. Basically their r room works like this they compete to see who can score ten wins on the victim first.

Lol. That being funny aside, Shang got out of line with me on One frame kill. It’s on. He’s stopped being amusing and now he’s just another Target. NUMBER ONE with a bullet on the Bingo Book.(See www.vfwarlord.blogspot.com for details on the bingo book).

Its VFwarlord.Blogspot.com vs’ oneframekill .com . The EPIC war than will engulf the whole VF community!!

This is the first salvo in Operation Shanghai Storm :

The Mother of all wars has begun! Cue Shangs Uncle doing the theme music.

so… many… possible responses.

edit: I choose… this one!

Being new to fighting games the thing I hate most is the attitude that if you are new you are automatically a “scrub” and somehow unworthy. When in truth everyone has to start out at ground zero at some point. No one buys a game with little to no tourney experience/ practice and becomes godlike, so why is it tht because I or we (new players) have questions or problems with things experienced players understand we are suddenly labeled as lesser beings somehow when everyone comes from the same place. I love x-men and from what I have seen so far certain parts (NOT ALL) of the FGC perfectly illustrates the struggle between mutants and humans…and got dammit magneto was fucking right…

Totally false, many of those so called “Heavy Combo” games don’t have combos as long as the ones of UMVC3.
It just happen that recent games seem to be like that, and even then, they are not as egregious as UMVC3 (though some games seem to want to take the title for themselves sometimes), add that UMVC3 doesn’t have any form of way to break the combo, and that has a poorman Hitstun scaling system in place.

Noob =/= Scrub

was I somehow incorrect?

1st, You are basing your opinion on interaction on a forum or online play
2nd, I am pretty sure that outside some trolls, if you behave well no one would start shit against you, usually the people who gets shit is because they where acting dumb in the 1st place

Low damage MvC2 or what FChamp calls “MvC2.5”. Iron Man becomes god tier simply due to how easy it is to keep running his infinite compared to characters like Magneto who need to reset.

The combination of factors known as the vortex. It’s one thing, and natural, to have to guess on your wakeup. It’s something completely different when failing that guess leads right back into the same guess situation, minus a chunk of health. The game then becomes’ don’t get knocked down’. Worst offenders are also the same characters who have all the right tools to GET that knockdown. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
(See: Akuma, El Fuerte)

Characters who are all gimmicks, but those gimmicks are highly effective.
(Prime offender: Blanka)
No, seriously, FUCK you Blanka, sitting there mashing electricity just outside of hit range and daring me to do something about it. You shoulda died in that plane crash.

Never fought Shang yet. Burning Hammer is horrific for sure. Not sure if the best way of addressing N word usage is by calling him a “yellow faggot”… dressed as Kage? :wgrin:

Unfortunately today, these deeply unpleasant online trolls are everywhere in fighters, but at least in VF, you have the smiley icons to scare away determined droppers.

it’s not really the same, mvc3 combos are just slow

I find it hilarious when people say mvc3 is too fast for them

MVC3 being too fast isn’t due to the combos, it’s due to the chaos.

That’s why been bothering me with people playing UMVC3. HSD is many dumb ass rules such as the fact that people realized you can do loops because HSD eventually cannot decay a combo with high minimal hitstun . There is also how that TAC basically break the game because TAC remove all of the game’s safeguards(Infinite exist due to this).

I don’t see why UMVC3 players can talk about games like Blazblue having “long” combo but play UMVC3 with a straight face. I don’t mind UMVC3, but it’s been bugging me for a while.

one thing i really dislike
people overusing the word choke
each match is its own
its context
and between the evolution of public media, inexperience and generally people being idiots the lines blur too much.
