That tier list looks very very balanced, only three different tiers. Do many/any other fighting games claim that sort of spread? I wonder if they can get it much closer with any future revisions?
Also that vid with Wolf vs Aoi is interesting, RAW looks like it has a lot of potential for bit combos.
Still waiting on that soundtrack. A release would be pretty hot.
I can’t wait for this to come out on console, I am still playing the Ver. B on PS3 T_T
This_Guy:
Just to keep some discussion going here is the latest tier list for VF5R ver. B:
S Rank: Taka-arashi, Wolf, Lion, El Blaze , Pai, Vanessa, Lei-Fei
A Rank: Goh, Akira, Jeffry, Lau, Eileen, Sarah, Jean, Aoi, Jacky, Kage
B Rank: Brad, Shun
EDIT: Here’s the final tier list for ver. A for comparison.
S Rank - Lion, Jeffry, Blaze, Eileen
A Rank - Aoi, Shun, Goh, Sara
B Rank - Lau, Vanessa, Akira, Brad, Wolf
C Rank - Lei-Fei, Jean, Jacky
D Rank - Kage, Taka-arashi, Pai
This is who I used for VF5 and now he’s in S-Class, I hate SEGA more.:annoy:

Same here man! It should be about time we get a PS3 port w/ online play.
Out of curiosity, anyone know if there is a Virtua Fighter 5 R arcade cabinet in NY state or close to the state? I don’t know if NYC has one.
no VF5R anywhere in the US.
Ah man, that sucks! We really do need that port.

Why would you hate that your character got moved out of basement tier?

Sega doesn’t allow VF5R to be purchased, meaning you cannot get the game internationally, the game can only be rented and rented in Japan. :lame:
If VF5R could be purchased for use in NYC I would flat out own a full set up. :wow:

Its more like he hates Sega for not being able to play the game outside of Japan.

No one on srk really plays, those that do you will probably see on VFDC anyhow.
There’s an NYC gathering in about 2 and a half weeks, with a few of us being there.
Aww shit yeah. Akape is back! Man I haven’t seen him play since the early VF5 days. Guys Goh is just so solid.

He was mid-tier but you had to work for it through mix-ups and mind games. Now he’s high and Sega doesn’t plan to bring the game here which is hella…ugh…just fucking ugh…
^ I hope it’s not something really stupid or Japan-only.
My money’s on:
re-release of VF5 (I pray) with either a lower price-tag or some sort of incentive. Like a DLC.
Some Japan-only spectacle.
