5R replays will now support frame data display… sooooo god damn good since there is no official guide out with the frame data published.

Wow, that’s really neat. How do you get replays from the 5R arcades, anyway?
Very awesome vid. So can u use this when you upload vids to youtube or whatever site u use to upload. I’m anxious for TGS I’m predicting 1 of 2 things VF5R Ver C. or VF5 FINAL TUNED for home console. The latter makes sense though.
Usually not a huge fan of combo videos but this one was pretty cool. Also that 128 dmg combo on Aoi was ridiculous XD.
Wow. That is a smart addition.
wow that is sick
FUCK YOU SEGA
Seconded. Why can’t we get that sort of sick shit?
omg …it hurts me VF5R not coming to consoles -_-
I would love this in VF5 …no chance
Noooo VF5R, why must you be so coool?!! :crybaby:
Fuck the worldwide gaming community for their blind love for Tekken.
People really need to get it that America has a shitty scene for VF and that is enough for Sega not to port it over here.
Reading this thread, really makes me want to start asking you guys to start a VF4 revival scene with me. I prefer it over VF5 anyway.
I really feel sorry for Sega and fans of this series. If they are smart enough to include frame data in their training mode, then they know exactly who they are appealing to and this is the sort of stuff that regular SRK members would love in their games.
What VF lacks is the initial interest/appeal that most of us consider fluff… the varied character designs and all the fluff. Something to draw people in… I don’t learn to play it purely because if feels like a waste when the real competition are out playing other games.
Goddamn…that’s so cool! :tup:
What’s up with the anime voice? ->
Eh not really…Sega has always shit on VF fans and it has nothing to do with sales. They sued Beat Tribe (a popular arcade that held tournaments for VF that put out DVDs of said tournaments) and then sued EVO for putting VF4 footage out on the EVO DVDs one year as well. This was during the time when VF4 was owning in arcades in Japan and Korea and sold very well for a niche fighting game on the PS2. Sega thanked the fans by giving them LAWSUITS. :encore:
Valkyria Chronicles had worse sales than VF5 on the PS3 but Sega marketed the game like crazy post launch, made new DLC, and then lowered the price for a special one week sale. Why VF doesn’t get this treatment eludes me.
They don’t even care that they don’t own VF.com for god’s sake. VF is not on Sega of America’s radar period. They do not care about the game. Some employees of Sega of America we talked to about getting VF5R had no idea that VF5 had even gotten a revision. :bluu::bluu::tdown::tdown::tdown:
Ewwww…
So, um, VF4 scene revival anyone?
Some of us were thinking of doing that over here. There are things I’d like to go back and do again in VF4:Evo but I might be more interested in going back to VF3 as it’s unique in the series and was the 1st VF to divert me from Tekken.
We did have VF4:FT in our arcade which could get put back in as well as some regard it as the pinnacle of the series.
Please do this…:tup::tup::tup::tup:
VF4 revival. It’s cheap as hell. +We know Sega dont give a shit.
VF3 is good too…my crew and I still play that one from time to time as well.
Don’t blame the world for Sega’s stupidity.
In an era of increasing competition, instead of creating a desirable package and increasing awareness by upping the marketing, Sega have done the exact and complete opposite: barebones game with zero promotion.
Sure, we all love VF, but how many casuals are going to pick up a game that doesn’t give them a purpose to complete the game? Ever since NES days, people expected endings. A game had to have a story to close it. Mario and Princess Toadstool. Zelda and Link. Street Fighter always had endings. So did Tekken. So did Soul Calibur. So did every other FG out there. Hell, even the sports games gave you a championship end scene.
But Sega? Nope. They gave casuals shit. No casuals = poor sales. Poor sales = poor support. Us hardcore fans are a TINY fraction of the overall gaming picture, that’s a fact. That’s why the wii sold so much - it attracted the casuals.
Since AM2 is primarily an arcade division, they have almost no say regarding the home versions, so all their hard work is shat on by Sega, and all the hardcore fans are shat on by Sega, and now the franchise is in the bin.
Sega = :lame:

Here is an awesome vid of wolf Using R.A.W. +punch to do a combo. New in VF5R because in VF5 it just staggered but in this one it creates slam. Don’t know if it is weight specific because he is fighting against Aoi.
