This is true thats why you don’t use her inclusion into RS as a point of canon. The undisputed RS link to SF is through Ibuki’s friend Sarai who’s school uniform is the same as Hinata’s because they go to the same school.

I think the slowdown could make a big difference. How well you think the PCs they use a home hold up to the ones they use at work? I’m sure game development involves much more heavier workloads than video creation as there’s more cogs in the assembly line to worry about.
It’s IT, the answer should be yes.
That’s not how it works. You connect remotely to the PC you’re using, the one you physically access doesn’t need much power.
Of course if they weren’t ready for remote work, it can be difficult to put in place. That will teach them, home working is the future.

No real problem with the first 3 picks. Only disappointment is all 3 of them pretty much look unchanged. No real updates to their designs.
Not thrilled about Akira. Didn’t want Rival Schools characters playable in SF. But at least they picked one that actually uses a martial art, and one that isn’t actually represented in SF yet.
That release schedule though…wow. What is this, Smash?

Aren’t they using old art for all the characters? I think the final design for everyone except Dan is still up in the air.
At this point I’m expecting someone from SF EX.

i think it’s up to the company make sure the computer they use at home are not too behind, and even there it’s true sometimes you just need the tech you got at workplace
Even us had to turnover to be there at minimum number going to the HQ with a autorization paper in case police stopped us mid-way lol 
My guess is they’re doing turns to work at the HQ for stuff they need to do there, but i guess a good portion is being done from remote
Again, i’m sure they’re being slowdowned by all that… but i’m also very suspicious such long stretch is part of theyr lil schedule plans they ever do lol
Keep also in mind it’s likely the works on these new char were started time ago, likely even before the covid thing
If you want believe the arab twitter guy who leaked Gill/Seth, who called Oro-Rose too, he said the latter two were already being worked on… and that was autumn 2019
S5 alone while being only 5 chars is being used to keep SFV busy till end of 2021, that is more an hint on these long time
They already planned 30 more costumes (that surely they already got, but you will see like next year) and plans for CPT21 CPT22 DLCs
S5 will be used to essentially escort every-3-months DLCs release, that’s sound more coherent with these times

Well, i thought that too but after all… if they keep any coherence with rest of the cast they will get each 2 extra costumes as start, then some of these 30 alts surely are for them
I’m already lowering expectation with either Abel, Viper or the Gorilla/Somebody Neo Shadaloo
But deep in my hopes it’s Haggar or a Slammaster character that I want.

Oro’s appeared in the SF5 character stories for years at this point, and now he finally makes his playable return. The PS Blog reveals that instead of fighting with one hand behind his back like Street Fighter 3, he’ll actually fight while balancing the turtle shown in his illustration.
Oro is going to pull a GG’s Slayer style “i’m not even truly trying” LOL

Dan: Sakura’s teacher
Rose: Menat’s master
Oro: Ryu’s teacher
Akira doesn’t count here.
So, I expect someone like Alex’s trainer, Tom, to be the last character.

She was, at the time, a non-canon guest character in that game. She didn’t even have the same vital statistics as she did in SF.
Obviously they’re retconning it so they were the same universe all along, but they definitely weren’t before.
Why do you think there are NO Rival Schools characters in the Street Fighter V Character Guides, even though they have, for example, every Final Fight character ever.
He would be great than Abel, Neo Shadaloo or Viper
background characters that are fighters are always good to be new playable characters
Because he’s legendary. So far the only “legendary” shoto we haven’t been able to play with.
There wouldn’t have been reason not to reveal Viper already. I’m sure the final character will be brand new.
It would be cool to have some new menace that makes EVERY SF band to join together and face the threat.
Something like the villains from the Ash Saga of King of Fighters.
Im guessing theyre saving the popular characters for SF6. This was actually a great time to put in a less requested SF1 character like sat Retsu or Lee. Maybe even joe.

I like that we see Oro holding a turtle in his artwork. It reminded me of Okina from Last Blade.
Could Oro’s second V-Skill having him indulge in some turtle-throwing. That was a really fun mechanic in Last Blade II.
I think all the “popular characters” are already in, or were in SF4. Urien, Alex, Karin, R. Mika, Nash, were very requested for SFV.
And in SFIV we had Fei Long, Dudley, Makoto, Yun, Rose, Rolento.
Only guy’s missing is Sodom -.- But he isn’t popular
