The Ultra Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread

King Cobra is back, batches!!

Looks like Avdol from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Which, being a Street Fighter game, it’s totally fitting.

Lol okay some of you guys don’t like his look, fair. I still like it and feel it’s a step in an interesting direction, maybe as an alt outfit or something? I dunno hah

Agreed, it’s an iconic look and it gives us some visual diversity if we’re in a game. Also it’d continue the trend, 'Rog’s got this unique starfish short cropped doo, Dee Jay’s got a flattop fade and braids, Dudley’s got his old timey whatchamacallit, Elena’s got short, seemingly relaxed hair. I say bring on the fro, and I’d absolutely love a Kareem based rep. I didn’t find King Cobra interesting, but if you use Kareem as a base and give him some visual distinction to change up the “yet another character in a basic karate gi” look, I’d be more interested.

Did you hear that Alex is…supposedly 17? I’m very unsure on this one just as much as I am on R Mika being 26 but…

I still wanna know how old Poison is, she’s one of my favorites. Same with Dan but he’s sadly not in the game :sob:

Alex was still young in SF3 wich is after SFV, problem is SFV make him look 40ish old transgender on meth

SF3 Alex can be like 19-20 i guess

I always figured Alex was around Hugo’s age lol. Like a good 5 years younger at most.

Tbh i like his pimp gi, but i agree that for visual variety It could be modified to look more a “chinese cut” kind of jacket, think classic kung fu uniform

Definitely need a Kareem or a chick with massive afro in street fighter

Now that you mention him i’ve no idea of Hugo age… i guess in the 30-35 range?

For Alex count that was supposed to be some sort of new/young hero back in SF3 where i ever thought him to be around 20 more or less

Now take Sean in SFV who look much younger than SF3 self and more important still don’t train under Ken… Not even during SFV ASF he starts, they just meet for the first time for a short moment

I think a jump of around 2 years between sfv and SF3 may be reasonable…
By the time of SF3 Sean manage to
Meet Ken again and start training
Train enough to start learn the style
Build-up fuckton of muscle
Do some tournaments with Ken at his corner

I remember before the birth years were retconned (i.e. Ryu being born in 1964) Hugo was born like…1964, but a bit before Ryu. Of course, it was on a website that UDON sponsors so I’m not entirely sure.

I did see another website stating Hugo (or was it Andore?) being born in 1946 but I don’t see him being that old, considering if you have gigantism to the extent of Hugo having it you’d probably be dead by the time you’re in your forties or fifties.

The later list

The list

Kinda weird since most of you request afro skinny boy, apprentice or either italian in SFV mostly in sfv while hating character with vag. This is the only afro character you duck ride into.

okay i get lol. Fei long doesn’t need sidekicks or a follower little boy.

Since this is the final season and you just started to claim to love afro characters in sfv. lol

So who is your second afro character in the final season of sfv?

It doesn’t need to be as big like king cobra, king cobra is great, i would be okay with the for the likes of mr jones from Rage of Dragons.

A RIVAL of fei is better not another of those make him apprentice, student or a like… lol

A man that also trained together with Fei Long along the same master, a friend. A friendly rivalry would be decent to make him a flexible character.

A female would be interesting too.

What did made this character in Tekken so interesting is because his no another apprentice or student.

What Tekken did interesting is because it wasn’t a apprentice. Tekken with Leroy Smith was the most awesome new character reveal than the most previous attempt like SNK did.

Imagine if Leroy Smith was a kid follower of Lei Wulong instead, because of the likes of cestus that has skinny boy or apprentice fetishes. This wouldn’t be what the Leroy Smith we had been amaze.

We don’t need tons of apprentices, disciple and students along with skinny boys, those that had weird or white hair skinny boys that you like, SF had tons of new generation characters of mid twenties character already,

I fear that possibility isn’t there anymore. Ryoredcyclone already said last year that in his FFT manual Lucia’s name doesn’t appear, nor does in the game. @Arc_Hound asked him:

“I don’t think Lucia’s surname pops out in FF3. Maybe in its manual, or in some magazine? I’ve seen her surname on wikipedia and fansites, but it’s the first time I see it in an official Capcom game”
Ryoredcyclone answered:

攻略本は持っていますが、フルネームは載っていません。かつて調べましたが、真実にたどり着けなかったと思います。ネットでは、モーガンの名前をかなり昔から見ています
I own the manual, and her full name isn’t in it. I already did some research in the past, but I couldn’t find any truth. On the net, I’ve started seeing “Morgan” since long ago.

So, the only hope is a Gamest issue, or any magazine that covered the game; assuming Ryoredcyclone didn’t browse through them as well… I can confirm that Lucia’s surname isn’t found anywhere in the Japanese version of the game.

No, she wasn’t. The speculation about her divine nature began here in the Shoryuken forums, and ended up in the Old Plot Guide. Basically, since her emblem is named “Eternal Goddess”, and she had attacks with “sun” names everywhere… They thought she was literally the Sun Goddess. Yet I don’t think anyone ever thought that D.D. was a literal GodDESS of Thunder AND a Fierce God (all in one!), nor Rook a Fallen Angel, just because their emblems were so named. No, their CFAS profiles clarified that they have peculiar genes that were “awakened” by a certain organisation (D.D. and Rook) or manifested themselves spontaneously (Ingrid), but none of them is a god. In the original CFAS, Ingrid had a relation with the final boss Death (most likely his mother, but that’s not confirmed), and was around 80 years old. When Capcom used her in CFJ, her profile was slightly altered, and by the time she ended up in SFZ3MAX and Project X Zone 2 she alluded at being much older (at least older than Xiaomu, who’s 765).
Then, yes, in SFZ3MAX there was also the mess you mentioned between the Japanese and English version. Where, amongst other things, Ingrid alluded that Ryu would become a monk… Too bad the Japanese 小僧 kozō “young/apprentice monk” when used outside a monastery means “YOUNGSTER”, and that’s exactly the meaning they intended. Ryu’s not going to become a monk, it was just Ingrid calling him that young’un… Just to give an idea of the extent of the mistakes.
The UDON comic was released ONLY in the US version. That’s why I surmised UDON inadvertently fueled the “goddess” idea by taking info about Ingrid from the plot guide… A misconception that kept feeding itself, and only in the West.

Capcom is racist and stereotypical. compared to Midway/NRS in their fighting games. Hell even SNK and Namco are less stereotypical/racist than Capcom.

And still SF cast is a character design masterpiece that gave life to an entire genre, MK one the crap of that same world

Final Fight characters are masterpiece and timeless designs that belongs to Street Fighter no doubt, than those concept apprentice characters that never materialize.

If there was a internal crossover it is Final Fight that is the absolute pair to SF not Rival Schools, Even some SF series had questionable pairing with SF but Final Fight isn’t.

Haggar is to iconic.

Those final fight characters were designed by the OG so they are never crap compare to those that you claim as perfect sf cast that were left on the drawing board.

It’s always funny watching you two argue because of the mutually broken English…

It would be silly if the main character of the new generation wasn’t an adolescent.
Alex looks young in official artwork, but SFV ruined his in-game model.

Capcom always called Alex “young”. But didn’t confirm his age until SFV.

That makes him 18 in NG/2I and 19 in 3S.
