The Ultra Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread

@Midgardsorm awesome as always.

Indeed that note was probably added by @bakfromon. Do you know where you got that?

OUCH! That was right under my nose. LOL!

That artwork might be half correct. According to Blanka’s account on Gamest 77 and his All About Capcom SF2CE account, when the plane crashed, he was 9, almost 10 years old (10 incomplete years). When the plane crashed (according with the old plot guide, Shadaloo planted a bomb aboard), Jimmy was the sole survivor, however, he got lost in the jungle. He might have lost his ability to speak the human language during his teenage years (Blanka is 23 - 25 during the Zero saga) and, much later, after coloring his skin with cholophyl for so long to camouflage himself (probably it pigmented his macrophages just like tattoo pigment in his dermis), got a permanent green skin. Probably after the crash, he was taken care by a cougar (puma concolor according with the artwork). The mistake on that artwork, is that he wasn’t a baby and wasn’t green when he got lost in the jungle.
How Dan fits in all this story is still a mystery. It’s said that Blanka saved Dan in the jungle when Dan was younger. I can’t find the original account anywhere. AAC mentions that came straight from Sakura Ganbaru! manga (which also doesn’t mentions what/how it happened).

You’re welcome. Now you understand why I pest you into revising some translations?
Speaking of revising, have you revised/completed Cammy’s account that I posted?
Thanks for all.

Looks like SF6 is gonna happen next year. According to the news.

1.) I hope it’s either set back to alpha timeline or a remake/retold story of alpha with some SF3 and new characters from SF4 and SF5 on it.

2.) Or set within the timeline of SF3 'not" after because it’s an automatic fixed that explains every plot holes like the absence of both the alpha and every new character from (sf4 & sfv) modern games. Simply by putting them in another conflict or a different event which is happening simultaneously during the events of SF3.

They could make shadaloo recovering from behind the scenes.

No to another after move forward like to SF3 story until the past settings is fixed and okay.

The problem here is the characters that had a huge impact to the world in SF fictional universe that were gone in SF3 as if they never existed along with the new characters in SF4 and SF5. Characters were either disappear out of nowhere or they pop out out of nowhere for the characters and had strong relationships with the iconic cast or involve in bigger historical event that took place.

So we need as establish background that makes both the alpha and new characters to be “flexible and convenient” in and beyond SF3 timeline then easy move forward later.

3.) Or simply SF AllStars a dream matches that everyone is in.

The alpha characters, new characters and the iconic popculture characters along with SF3 should be flexible to be playable for future titles since this is a fighting game not a tv series or rpg that needs more attention with the story being either killing or ending someone.

People had been talking about new Darkstalkers? not a Capcom All Star?

All I need for SF6 is to use modern ArcSys techniques to make it look like the SF2 anime movie, to EITHER be a reboot, or be set after SF3. And for them to eventually get to “Everyone Is Here!”.

Where are all these rumors coming from btw?

Street Fighter 6 should be right on time for my prediction

I can wait for SF6 for a bit, I do hope Darkstalkers FINALLY get their freakin’ due along with other old IPs (heyo, Captain Commando, come back! Capcom, look in my direction, I’ve got ideas for him and the Commando crew!)

In terms of SF6, I still stand by my stubborn rejection of a reboot. We’re close to finally getting past SF3, lore issues can be cleaned up with an opening cutscene and or an in-game version of the CRI character and lore guide. Also, I don’t want to revisit SF2 yet again for various reasons, but also, I’ve been digging some of the newer characters (some more than others) and want to see more down the road. Let’s talk reboot if the post post-SF3 arc is a nuclear wasteland that has a Dan Hibiki as the final dark harbinger of Ingrid and Don-chan’s will.

Kronika caused SF6 to happen with Ingrid!

I don’t know, guys, I simply was watching de MK11: Aftermath trailer and thought Fujin’s gameplay looked really awesome.
Then I thought it would be so cool to be able to play as him in Street Fighter.

I know aesthetically/philosophically, SF vs MK would never stick together, but being able to play matches between characters from both franchises would be completely awesome, simply for gameplay reasons.

We’d have to stick to MUGEN, I guess.

There is a part of me that wants that to be the case.

Oh shit. Looks like this is Shang Tsung’s time to shine (I saw some cutscenes previews for MK Aftermath)!!!

I cannot say SF vs MK, is not possible. What I think is like I said before MK needs to give way and lose it’s appeal of violence and etc. What cannot work is MK vs SF.

Capcom All Star is the best of both worlds and the win win situation for everyone else. It’s the game that everyone can feel something especially it’s than everyone just asking to see something beyond or being curious of something.

But I’m fine with Darkstalkers. I’m not that of a fan and only played it in the 3rd of the series just like how I started with MK, I see them in the arcades but would go for Alpha titles instead. The 3rd of the series was fancy and had new mechanics that made it different also after alpha loses all the chains.

The problem was the cast that were left behind were a huge group unless they were sucked in a black hole like a metaphor and then spew by it, after the event of SF3.

The black hole was a metaphor of

The worst is for them all died.

That’s why if the choice is to move forward then the better is having a game set within SF3 timeline with mixed of new characters from SF4 and SF5 together with SFA and SF3 characters. Just making them involved in a different event, since SF3 events is kinda loose and doesn’t require strong connection other than Gill, Urien and Alex. Plus this delays aging.

Another problem is those fans that are accustomed with the traditional cast and settings but not story, timeline or narrative. How many people keep saying Ryu must have SNH as a power up instead of MU, we have seen this with youtubers and etc, they still think Ryu, Bison, Chun and Guile should be in this situation like they were still in Alpha. It’s like they still see thing like Mario should save the Princess that Bowser kidnap.

I myself wanted Ryu to distance away from SNH and be more on learning new techniques with MU. I really like Hado Kakusei instead of another story centered to Ryu struggling with SNH

I prefer iconic character not the center of the story but the inspiration and being idealize of other fighters.

that why the other options is either make a retold the Alpha with branching stories arc to SF4, SF5 and SF3 by including the characters from SF3 with the new from SF4 and SF5.

Yes SF5 did that with AE and individual stories but they didn’t put a story for other new characters that has a very crucial role in the future or having skills and powers that long before SFA events took place like Urien. Viper, Oro and the rest of SF3 characters cast. Yet they can explain it in future SF titles like they did in SFV individual storymode.

What they did right was mostly with the new characters like Necali(he appeared because the black moon), Rashid and Neo Shadaloo except Menat. They crafted the story that meant for them appearing in the right moment and in their past has no involvement with the alpha events, they probably don’t have the power that time. So they don’t need an explanation of why they weren’t in SF2 and SFA. Best crafted story is no other than FANG.

SF4 characters like Fuerte, Rufus, Zeku, Dudley and Q are easy and flexible that doesn’t really need backstory in the past/alpha and the future/sf3 timeline.

The last is SF all stars just basically all star SF characters. No debates and questions just basically everyone is possible here.

Yet in the end I would prefer the first option of having a SF title set within SF3 timeline and make the huge cast both legacy and modern involve in a different event as the center plot of the game. So it automatically answers the absence and not being involve with Gill. The biggest problem here is SF timeline in SF3 that most of the crucial characters wasn’t present isn’t acknowledge and mentioned as if the new generation was the world’s finest and the best.

Make SF6 a retelling/retcon of SF3 as alpha 2 was to alpha 1. Most people wont give a shit.

The only reason I’d like a SF vs MK, made by Capcom, is because that would probably be the only way to see MK characters in an artstyle that’s not all about padding the characters with a bunch of bullshit and have them use more simple designs.

Oh, and speaking of SF6 and it’s place in the timeline… Well, Gill’s paradise island where all the worthy people of the world are gathered before the apocalypse, established at the end of 3S, is the perfect setting for the EVERYBODY’S HERE type game that I want to see. So… make it a sequel.

The thing is most of the people isn’t really like the narrative settings of SF3, regardless of the motivation of being curious of what the future they imagined.

Most likely they are not following the story of what happened SF3?

The probability is that is just some are just curious of what happened or some are just bored with the story that is centered to shadaloo conflict, Anti-Shadaloo and Ryu.

Most of the character interaction in SF3 is just like SF1 and SF2 nothing is more important and significant than two or three characters having an encounter to each other.

Thats why I prefer a alternative event that the huge cast were left out to be involve with, which is happening in SF3 timeline than another leap beyond or something that would replace SF3 establish timeline. being gentle to moving the story is better than leaping or remaking/rebooting the whole thing.

Urien later addition in 2nd Impact not in NG can create a huge separate plot on it’s own. I posted something before.

Like Gill preferred the pure and innocent not those were involve with shadaloo events because they are corrupted and tainted for being in contact with the negative energy, which makes them not deserving to be in his utopia.

image

Which automatically makes sense for the huge cast absence in SF3 or Gill’s event or why some of them didn’t investigate or gone suspicious.

Lol that ending is suspect. Urien would rather die than go to Gills utopia

Almost every ending in SF3 is like SF2, the important is only a few like Alex meet Ryu, Ryu lose to Oro, Alex meet Gill, Urien meet Chun li and some were kinda joke or ignored that didn’t happen.

SF3: Second Impact was already that for SF3: New Generation.

Pretty sure that, as with most final bosses, Gill’s ending probably isn’t canon.

It doesn’t have to be canon, it’s just a preestablished concept that can be reworked to fit the bill.
