Gill is better of what he is now, changing him to something better than a for being the disposable and recurring villain is a bad idea.
SFv cinematic mode does exactly what Gill should be and be.
His good having the edge for.on the spot immortality compare to the other villains but not being an interesting character because that would affect the impact of what Urien, Bison and Akuma appeal.
It’s a shame Capcom didn’t carry over the specific quotes, because the CvS2 quotes tend to be more personal and reflective of the characters than most of the mainline games. On top of all the normal characters, you get team quotes (never done in SF for obvious reasons), quotes for Eagle and Maki (who don’t really have much development outside of CvS2), and all the SNK character interactions (and some of them can shed a bit of light on the characters that the Capcom side can’t, like Athena using Psycho Power).
I just want a CvS3 one day. They can include the obvious SF and KoF characters, but I want them to go a bit wider: I want to see those classic CPS2/3 and Neo Geo arcade staples get a spotlight in a game celebrating two titans of the arcade era. Both companies have an insane number of diverse IPs to draw on, so the roster would be crazy.
Definitely, CVS should be a celebration of both companies’ fighting games and so they go for the full catalogue. Give us Darkstalkers, Red Earth, Power Stone, Garou, Last Blade etc.
As of now it’s still unlikely for another CVS3, the possibility of a fighting game crossover is either SNK vs Namco or Capcom vs Namco. The rest is unlikely.
I don’t mind to see KI x MK, How I wish Subzero or Fulgore would be in a Tekken game but it’s unlikely.
That’s the part that made me want to work on this so badly. The vast amount of interactions you could’ve never imagined seeing. In the US version, it was just another Vs series game, but for us lore junkies, the JPN version has a lot of stuff that we adore in these games.
Blanka talking to Geese? Bison having words with Mai? Balrog and Morrigan on the same team speaking? A lot of stuff like this gets overlooked by the majority, but this is like a wet dream for us.
