The Ultra Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread

I’m pretty sure his job is the same as Guy’s. i.e. freelance warrior for justice.

Man, I hope they put Vice and Mature on a team with Yamazaki. I want there to be an Earthly Kings Team to go with the return of the Heavenly Kings Team.

As a massive fan of Yamazaki, I can get behind this

Seth and Fang a lot to set a better Bison for the future.

Not all endings are canon. Even in SF4 some of those were just speculation to canon even it fits a particular scenario. We assume most of the canon stuff because they fit a series of endings but it doesn’t mean those were solidified.

The only thing significant to be considered canon for good were events that would tie in the past and future titles together.

I will be ok with that as i ever thought Carlos based on TV series Renegade starting Lorenzo Lamas

There the hero is a former cop who was framed by corrupted cops, who become a bounty hunter and kick criminals in the face using martial arts

While at It young Zeku is so similar to Carlos that i will accept a FF costume lol

One more FFer (villain) + few themed costumes and you can make up an entire FF Arcade Path

That would be a dope team.

Since Chizuru has her powers back, I have a feeling the Sacred Treasures team might make a return. The way Kyo’s ending played out gave me that impression. This would at least open up the possibility for an Earthly Kings team.

I seeing Goenitz would back in 3D would be awesome.

I want Mr Karate also back.

I don’t mind Carlos staying the same as he was his better to be that anyway. If he would return to future titles Okay would be okay. I don’t like him associated with Zeku.

look at those flames very beautiful

she fixing her hat in the recovery pose, and then that’s a very jill move.

I still wish Lucia had a different starter animation for the flame special. It seems incredibly impractical to turn your back to the person you’re fighting against, the heel kick just looks awkward

Since they’re imitating K’ with her SFV rendition why not have her do a kick forward?

Are you talking about her “burn kick”? If so that based off her Final Final 3 animation.

I mean the first kick she does in this gif below:

I legit hate that animation

Ah okay, not the move I was thinking of. Reminds of the Cannon Spike animation, except let awkward. I’ve never like the startup animation to the Cannon Spike.

This is the thing that I dislike, Like I said in the first place in the post when I pointed out King, I also mentioned that she should be more like King, I like King for being not too revealing and the boyish appeal, which I also pointed out that she should be wearing something like Jill’s pants does in MVC2.

The kind that routinely sets her legs on fire.

I freakin’ love that animation. Also the one where she’s putting out the fire on her shoes. :stuck_out_tongue:

I love the animation, and it does have a logical explanation. If you think about it, Lucia’s Firecracker seemingly generates a small flame using the friction of her shoe against the floor: it’s far more comfortable to scrape your shoe against the ground by going backwards, not forwards. The friction would push the shoe against your heel, not your toes.

Seeing @Daemos post about Rugal and Bison made me want to elaborate on the little project I’ve been working on. So in the midst of the downtime for SFV, I decided to create a guide featuring the win quotes (Japanese text) from Capcom Vs SNK 2. This includes personal win quotes and the team win quotes characters have between them. I always felt the content of that game was untapped, so I figured I might as well create a guide with all of that information.

You think SFV was a lot? This is on an entirely different level. Not to mention the damn VS Mode option doesn’t even have a win screen with quotes. Your only way of getting that is through Arcade Mode. So I had to do that while using the controller on 2P to constantly interrupt (Press Start) and pick the specific character/team.

As mentioned, the text is entirely Japanese, but some of the online translation options give you a glimpse of the dialogue. For example: Rugal says he won’t add Dan to his collection because he’ll ruin it, Bison says Kyo reminds him of Ryu except with greater power, Rugal talks about capturing and studying Cammy so he could utilize her as his own assassin, etc.

Akuma has win quotes to all of the characters, but he does not have special team quotes when he’s in the lead. Now if he’s not the winning character, he has an exchange with the winner. God Rugal, Shin Akuma, Evil Ryu, and Orochi Iori do not have win quotes or team win quotes with anyone. Everyone has win quotes towards them.

Still adding the finishing touches to everything, so there’s a good amount of stuff left to do. However, I have all of the quotes, so if @Lord_Vega, @Shockdingo, @Daemos, or anyone else wants the text of any particular quotes, just let me know. Maybe @midgardsorm could help us out if he has the time.

Do you remember the number I stopped at?

Urien is the best candidate character to have the same impression, vibe and appeal that Rugal has to be in SF.

To be fair what most people like or not rarely Is a good indicator of quality lol

Gill have obvious 99 problems when It come to popularity, but concept or character design are’nt weak points in his case.

I’m good with SF Pope Arles just as i was good with SF Raoh

He was OP unplayable (big factor right there) boss of a 20 years ago game and, probably thinking they could have continued soon with SF4(as hypothetic direct sf3 sequel) his story was left at starting phase

He was a departure (in a game designed ad a whole to be so) and a good one at that, as Illuminati are the only alternative evil org SF ever gave us, just as legit as Shadaloo and at the moment more interessing (as the former has been spammed, the latter still lot lot to discover)
