Chun wouldn’t fit RE1 Jill. Jill is a former green beret. Chun is a cop but she isn’t ex military.
I don’t know you guys, but even if they picked the most generic designs possible for Lucia’s default and most of her costumes her moveset is pretty good and flashy, and I think her voice actress did a good job at making her personality feel unique.

To be completely honest i’m playing all 3 new ones to farm FM and to me Color #12 does wonders on make me accept Lucia’s default as a new addition to current cast
Does’nt feel gurl-on-mission design at all, seem just an happy and scrappy fusion of Tiffany and Blue Mary lol
The fun thing in all of that her default is maybe her “best potential” one, they just fucked it up charging it too much making it seem more out of a Tekken game rather than SF

Mostly because get Sumo rep was last big piece missing in my SF cast puzzle

I don’t mind the SFV costume, but I want this story colour very, very badly.
Edit: I bought the Honda stage with FM, and had 250 left. Completing survival on easy/normal with the new three chars gave me just enough FM to try 10x Fighting Chance a few times for Bison’s Alpha costume. Got it on the very last attempt, and it’s fucking awesome.

I would have preferred a new sump rep who would be Honda’s disciple, either a Hawaiian as a nod to the movie Honda or a Mongolian. I would have still released the Honda Sento stage but with Honda as an NPC in the bath.

Soul Calibur fucked it up. The apprentice characters in SC5 weren’t likable and they weren’t distinct enough from the characters they were replacing. What was the point of characters like Natsu and Xiba when they were just blonde Taki and a dumb Kilik with a monkey motif? Of course it would fail. We need appreciate characters like Menat.

@Lord_Vega I was just randomly thinking about win quotes from the Alpha/Zero series and had a question: do you know when personal win quotes actually became a thing? I always thought it was Zero 3, but now I’m wondering if it started before that.
I remember seeing the new characters in the Alpha 3 GBA version with win quotes to the cast, but never knew if the old cast had their own in that version.

I enjoy the way Lucia plays, like, 10x more than Falke.
Making a new character that’s 90% the same as the old character when the old character was totally fine is double wack.
What’s the point of BEING a character’s apprentice if you aren’t going to play like that character?
Sodom should had been better than Honda, but no honda appreantice and just stays as what he was because his okay to begin with.
Honda can stay for the gameplay being iconic and still relevant up to this date, Thawk is also narrative wise and gameplay wise okay to reappear.
As for Fei his bland in-terms of gameplay the thing that make him interesting is because of bruce lee reference. Dee jay needs upgrade with his movesets and changes.
To prevent them from being redundant. Being an apprentice doesn’t mean being a copy of their mentor. A character can take the lessons they learn and apply them in their own ways.

G is an ìnteresting and successful character not being a clone buthavoing Q as his flavor. His not a cliche of either edgelord, decendant and student. His probably isnt a prequel character of Q. In terms of gameplay, charisma and visual he succeeded.
While both Necali and Kage are also considered better version of SF4 Evil Ryu which is the upgrded from the bland generic clone traditional Evil Ryu. However Kage is the better from narrative aspect and visual while necali got mostly in specials. Were not just talking about visual and narrative here but as well with gameplay.
