Points to SF3
Strangely enough, they reunited considering SF3. Maybe they had a falling out or wanted to branch out on to other things. Also Roxy is still part of the remains of Mad Gear so maybe we’ll see that addressed.
That’s what has me curious. I’m wondering if Hugo wants to go legit, Poison still wants the thrill of lawlessness, but the events of her story make her decide it’s more trouble than its worth and goes full into promotion mode. Could be a bit of fun!
Regarding her gender I think she just doesn’t care and wants to have fun in mayhem or making a profit. I always think back to Kelly Turnbull’s webcomic:

I think much like Q’s identity, revealing Poison’s sex status would do more harm than good for the character. A little mystery goes a long way.
(But we all know she is MtF come on)
Only people that care about poison’s weiner are the ones that wanna see it.

Lol as for myself i was disappointed to see his counter to be so limited, will have liked see him getting different animations countering the different strikes, kinda like Kolin’s
