Yeah Mags on point blows Dante away IMO I just haven’t played around with Jam Session assist for Mags enough to know how synergic they are. I’m just so used to playing cheap ass teleport+disruptor crossups haha. Thanks for the input dude! I just gotta work on making my Dante not ass now :|.

On RayRay vs Fanatiq; I gotta say I was much more impressed by RayRay’s play on Marlinpie’s stream yesterday than Fanatiq’s at the RunBack. Fanatiq still has that godlike superjump hit confirm though.

Yea Fanatiq is lookin mad sloppy lately. Maybe its a ruse. Both players who beat him used Morrigan though lol. On the flip side its like ever since Fanatiq called him out RayRay upgraded. He was bodying everybody at the CW Team Tourney and as you said he was doin great on Marlin’s stream.

magneto’s dashing allows for more freedom of movement than nova’s because there’s no noticeable start up when you try to dash, except (of course) when you’re dashing down-back but that’s after the fact of startup (you can attack almost immediately afterward).

if your movement is already decent as you’ve claimed, then my advice would be to work on hit confirms and move up to the swag combos when you’re comfortable enough.

Note: Is this acceptable for a bnb since it can also be done midscreen?

Like Straight up, Fanatic is a cool dude and a good Mags player but he’s missing out on so much shit it’s fucking ridiculous with seeming to not even attempt to learn anything M. Blast. Really wanna see Fanatic/Joker happen, their like Polar fucking opposites when it comes to how they approach Mags, Fantic sticking with what he knows and Joker finding more and more stuff to implement in his game. Really gotta get on those IAD M. Blast crossups.

Fanatiq plays like a very very strong form of vanilla Mags, but its still looks like he’s playing vanilla Mags and hasn’t gotten accustomed used to any new Magneto technology aside from making his hit confirms godlike beyond belief. He’s still using risky TACs to kill and doesn’t do any assist extensions to up his damage output

In contrast, RayRay and Joker are the most evolved players and pioneers in playing Ultimate-style Mags.

I played a set with a pretty decent MorriDoom earlier this week. Honestly I was dumbfounded for half of the set until I switched to Magneto/Storm/Sentinel and blew his ass up with Shockwave DHC Hail Storm XF Hail Storm. Pretty much if I touch Morrigan, I’m XFing and killing the bitch. i’ve been complaining about her since vanilla.

Boxdash Magnetic Blasts + fast Horizontal assists(Unibeam/Task/hawk arrows/Akuma at proper distancing) does well vs Morridoom and puts enough shit with durability on screen to get in on her really quick and if she doesnt pushblock those blasts she’s getting mixed up. But in Astral Vision she wins the fireball war free with nothing most characters can do anything about. One big problem vs Morridoom is that your DHC’s won’t work since she can unfly and block on reaction and shockwave will only tingle Doom from fullscreen. With boxdash blasts on point + assist it’s a pretty even matchup.

When I read the guide in vanilla to check the properties of the counter in the lab, and saw Magnetic blasts’s frame data and properties I went wtf why isnt anyone using this derp, and started spamming the hell out of it ever since. Boxdash blast’s is that derp stuff, and Fanatiq is missing out on a lot of his game by not abusing it. Combo wise it doesn’t really matter what you go for with Magneto, but blast is essential for his neutral game and makes him much more of a threat.
