holy shit. i didn’t know it was that easy. i tried it once while i was in the lab last tuesday and it came out a lot quicker than when i tried with viper.
also what assists you fuckin with? here’s mine; emd/jam/drones. do you run hyper grav/crystal or like how i run it?
Was just mashing out some XF3 combos with Mags and did a 2 squeeze combo (squeeze, relaunch, fly fierce ended with flysscreeen and Squeezed again.
It seems after a high damage combo, you don’t get damage boosts from mashing on squeeze.
I then tested it with a normal mags corner combo into squeeze, dash launch down TAC into wesker, down teleport, relaunch, TAC bacck to mags MMHS, Squeeze. Same thing happened.
Any Idea as to why this is happening?
Not that it really matters cause hte combos are overkill anyways, but just curious.

I do think that j.l addf has some kind of potential though, simply because if Mags is on your ass your gonna wanna try and push block him off you earliest as possible or eat a load instant overheads for stalling?
<3 good thing I practiced varying my pushblock timings to keep people from staying in my face with their anti pushblock tactics.
best piece of advice I’ve ever gotten from a fellow player. No matter how ‘impractical’ tech is, its always good to have in your bag of tricks.

Seriously, This is a very aggressive team that should never be holding back. imo, in the right hands they have no bad match ups. The entire team can hit 1mill without even trying, and the order can be adjusted, so you can adapt to any match up/situation. The team doesn’t crumble at all when one character falls due to the gatlike synergy. Every time you touch a character you build 2 - 3 bars and all of them can climb out a 1vs3 victorious.
Give Weasel Shot a try with Dante, it’s also an extremely godlike assist. It locks down for a very long time and it’s basically a lockdown Beam. It’s very similar to coldstar but it’s a true blockstring and locks down further. It’s not as good as Jam Session but it’s still godlike

Anyone have any advice for a semi-beginner trying to play Mag as Anchor?
I actually like Weasel Shot over Jam Session in every team composition for Magneto on point/Dante that doesn’t include drones or Cold Star.
People are just lazy. This team is the tits. Not only is it most likely the best Magneto/Sentinel shell but it’s probably the most fun team in the game to play imo.
That doesn’t work vs Forward tech or any sort of air movement unlike meaty repulsion resets. But seems like a good thing to have on your arsenal, you can do the same shenanigan post hypergrav using all of Dante assists with stH/crH xx Repulsion or stH/crH xx Attraction + Drones for a crossup. Drones isn’t a true meaty, but Weasel Shot/Jam session are.
I also agree with Dino that Weasel Shot is completely godlike, and Dante’s assist completely depends on your team composition as both Jam/Weasel are amazing for Magneto.

[]Learn how to move with Magneto to get out of bad situations and get in, this is the most important part for Magneto play point or solo. Learn how to wavedash properly and fly out of bad situations or approach with flight, learn plink addf/addb jH/jS, tri jL is a must to open people up.
[]Practice getting throws in and practice your hit confirms/OS’s with them. Magneto has the strongest throw game out of any character especially on Anchor.
[]Practice your general hitconfirms and learn combos that work with XFactor and make sure you have good combos without XFactor.

hmm if you’re serious about learning him, I always think the best way to learn a character in this game is to play him/her on point on a side team. That way you get the most exposure to the character and how he/she functions. Dante/Dormammu/Magneto is an excellent team though.
I agree. People are hella lazy. The community has big part to do with it because whenever someone has a problem we just point to Wesker or Vergil. And people are too lazy build they’re own teams, everyone likes to x copy each other.

I used the same meaty setups with Magnetic Movement + Drones/Jam Sessions if I don’t want to spend any meter. I love how MM+Jam completely shuts downs characters that like to stay at super jump height pressing buttons. After playing around with the assist for some time… I did notice how it can be retarded at times allowing the character to fall out if only the edges touch. Also, I’ve gotten a little too comfortable with Jam OS’s lol. I feel like Marvel is so much easier with Jam Session. Mag already fucks the skies… but now he rape them. Right now I’m playing with air resets timed with a meaty Jam. oh yeah, and anytime someone tries a Champ style reset on Mag, If you guess right, you can convert in the air with Jam if they commit, hella stupid.

i played a ft 10 with a bro a couple hours ago and he was wreckin me 7-2 but then i remembered the Brotherhood composition. i was on a lot of shit (let’s just say it was mainly caffeine) that made me think about those old guard breaks you posted and using jam session in the corner/midscreen mix up opportunities.
i’m really liking meaty j:m: and j:s: setups with jam, drones or missiles for obvious reasons, but jam session especially cause of the many options you could do in midscreen as well as in the corner. real talk i feel honored to have niggas like yall on these boards contributing shit. wish i could do more, but eh i’m just a hype man lol
