Real talk, Wesker is so fun on point. Getting command grabs with this guy using Weasel Shot is completely free. He’s so fast, and so sick. I used to play him in Vanilla, but never utilized his shit to his full potential. He’s just so mobile and has so many good options with Horizontal Assists/Vajra. He’s misunderstood and very few players actually run optimized teams for him with proper positions, the closest I feel is Neo as he atleast runs him with Disruptor + Phoenix.
Magneto with Tatsu is a lost art. Heck Tatsu is not getting enough use for how good that shit is. Jam Session is in a similar position, but Tatsu does certain things even better and blows up a lot of tactics and characters at the start of the round.
psht my teams better than Neo
I run point mags, but I’ve been running point wesker for a bit too.
disruptah assist for getting in and combo extensions is broken, and tatsu covers extensions and resets likea champ. both assists also help his gun and run quite a bit.
I’ve posted this a million before, and will continue posting it until I see people abusing it,
start of round OS throw/H/forcefield + tatsu assist is hte most broken start of round shit in the game.
I found 2 problems with f+H throw OS L forcefield:
If the opponent is walking forward and mashing throw aka the Hulk, he’ll still throw you out of the OS. So you still have to respect the Hulk at the start of the round otherwise you get bopped.
It is possible to normal jump(with instant air H) above Magneto’s head making both stH and forcefield OS whiff leaving you to get punished.
Ah for hulk I do throw - > then the the OS to remedy that problem.
as for the normal jump going over, I really have’t had that happen to me yet. def something to look out for. perhaps delaying my akuma assist a bit to catch that might work.
well i was looking for a more technical answer because dante/drones doesn’t seem like it would be as strong as dante/disruptor then mag/drones once mag dies
imo you shouldn’t depend on one team order. you need to learn how to use a team in any order because there will be times when you fuck up that order and be forced to play it out. Magneto, Dante, and Sentinel can adapt in any spot since they’re synergy is so dame good. I dare someone to laugh at point Sentinel with disruptor and jam session.
I run Mag/Dante/Sent the same way I run my main team, Mag/Jill/Sent. Mag is one the strongest threats at the start of the match and adding Jam Session makes Mag/Jam one the top five starters in the game. The options are ridiculous! once I get a hit confirm… depending on the characters health I’ll raw tag Dante in or tempest/million. So, I used one of the strongest match starters, then I end up with the order you want to run, Dante/Mag/Sent. from here, I continue in this order using the derp teleport mix ups and many other gimmicks that you were trying to use at match start, but you got blown up by my insane start of the match options that you lack because you want Dante/Disrupter. I’m pretty sure you get the picture now, so I’ll stop right here. But I’m not gonna lie to you… Dante/Mag/Sent is an extremely good order and I use it too. There’s nothing wrong with it, I just have a different playstyle than you.
Magneto has stronger options at the start of the round in comparison to Dante.
Most people here in this board including me are Magneto players first and foremost, so we tend to build our teams around Magneto himself and we like playing him more on point. IMO Dante/Disruptor>>>Mag/Jam Session, but Magneto’s point options are stronger and we love the master of Magnetism <3.
Well if you’re not snapping in phoenix, morrigan, or sentinel, you might as well at hte last possible moment. pretty much just use a snap where you would normally do a super.
I agree with Ika. Learn all your characters in all positions. It makes DHCing to kill off a character a non issue, and snapbacks not as bad.
