That’s pretty gay it’s gonna be like G2 didn’t happen.
Didn’t Megs get an eggplant color pallete for his G2 design?
Well at least in the G.I. Joe comic the G2 Megatron tank was all green and blue. Never seen any of the G2 Tranformers comics so not sure about anything else.

I like eggplant. And he looked better in the comics. I have the G2 toy. The toy is neon green with purple camo. It’s just a giant brick with like no poseability from what I remember. And his head was tiny. But when you push it down, he says, “Megatron attack!” in a voice that sounds nothing like Frank Welker.
Took a second look at G2 Megatron in the Classic G.I. Joe TPB #14. His face is blue, his helmet is dark gray, the tank parts are blue and there’s some purple camouflage. The rest is dark gray for the most part. For some reason I thought the camouflage splotches were blue instead of purple so my bad.
FURMAN: WTF are you talking about? Never happened.
Man if G2 never happens, then so much awesome stuff didn’t occur.
Lol well it happens in any universe it still happens in, just not in Regeneration One is all.

G2 was fairly shite for the most part anyway.
Just think of another way to introduce Jhiaxus and it’ll be fine.
Of what I’ve read of Furman’s Transformers work he seems to be an all-inclusive kind of writer when it comes to Transformers.
He may not reference G2 but I don’t think he’ll really go out of his way to erase it either if he doesn’t feel he has to. In the FBCD issue he points out that Galvatron hails from an alternate reality future, so he’s not disputing other worlds, he just may not acknowledge one or the other.
He’s basically picking up where he left off in a situation where he doesn’t have to push a toy or worry about what anyone else is doing with Transformers. Like G.I. Joe ARAH it’s basically a ‘What If I could do ANYTHING way back when’ kind of thing.
Sit back and enjoy.
I really wish IDW could get the rights to continue on the old DW Energon series and let Furman finish his work on it.
Armada/Energon was the best DW Transformers book by far.
I still have a full run of Dreamwave’s Armada/Energon… Man, I bought a lot of stupid comics when I was younger.
Found a copy of IDW’s Transformers: Maximum Dinobots for three bucks, so I pounced on it. Read the first two chapters so far. Is this supposed to be one of the more well-regarded IDW TF comics?
Yes, Maximum Dniobots is baller as hell and ties up alot of plt points. After that look into Last Stand of the Wreckers if you were feeling Dinobots.
I finished reading it, but unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it very much.
I thought Furman’s scripting was rather lazy. There was a lot of exposition. I hate it when characters speak out loud to nobody just so they can bring readers up to speed. That really takes me out of a story… It’s even worse when they explain their motivations (as if their actions don’t speak for themselves). It’s worse still when they give unnecessary speeches or describe their actions in the middle of fights. (But the most laughable thing is when characters speak their own name aloud to us, like, “It was a good thing I, Zephyranthes, remembered to turn off the stove before I left the house today.” Who thinks like that? Let alone speaks like that? Out loud? To nobody in particular?)
Granted, I am not caught up in all of the backstory in the IDW comics, but it’s a Transformers comic, not quantum astrophysics. On its own, it was kind of a mindless action comic, which isn’t the worst thing in the world. I didn’t really dig the art, though. The action scenes were a little cluttered, and not in that insane, designy, hypnotize-the-reader Chris Bachalo kinda way. They were just cluttered and panels just had too much going on to be coherent or interesting.
I don’t really remember Furman’s TF comics being so clunky. I might have to scrounge up some of his old Marvel stuff for a reread. I loved those when I was younger. I even liked The War Within from DreamWave like ten years ago.
Last Stand of the Wreckers does the whole big Action Comic thing alot better than Maximum Dinobots by a long stretch. I was kind of happy with MD finishing up most of plot threads Furman set down earlier. It was alot better than the fucking Dead Universe Arc which was hard as hell to follow due to being in so many different issues and the inconsistent art. Though anytime EJ Su draws Bludgeon it’s godlike.
The War Within was kind of cool, some of the speeches Optimus did to nobody in that series were pretty dumb. Mainly just wanted to see more stuff with Starscream, Grimlock, Thundercracker, and Skywarp.
Transformers… Regeneration One… IS AWESOME!!!111!!!000100!!!

Just read Regeneration #81, can’t lie that first panel with Megs was hype, dude is a beast.
Also read the latest MTMTE, really hope time travel is involved witht he current mystery so some deaths get averted, mainly
Spoiler
Rung, I really liked that guy. One more reason for Swerve to hopefully die a very very very very very VERY painful death. Maybe he can get painted blue and purple and they can toss him to Fort Max.
MTMTE
[details=Spoiler]YAY RUNG IS ALIVE! Sans head currently though, Red Alert passed off a recording to Rung’s body because he’s the only person he can trust. On the recordign was Overlord sedated and strung up in a unmakred section of the shit and Red Alert is fearing he’s gonna be silenced soon, for once he might not be paranoid for no reason. We also get to see the DJD for the first time and these are some beast guys with some interesting designs and abilities, they freaking killed Black Shadow the last Phase Sixer, kind of lame really wanted to see more of him. We also got introduced to a group fo reject Decepticon’s who are scavenging supplies off of dead bots to get to Cybertron and one of them is on the DJDs kill list and they have to turn whoever it is in or they all die. And the ship their on has one special guest, goddamn Grimlock!.[/spoilers]
Sooo hype about the next issue of Regeneration One coming out this week!
Started re-reading the original Marvel Comics for fun. I’m going with the Titan TPBs because the IDW ones skip over Marvel Universe stuff like Spider-Man chilling with Gears.
Haven’t read a lot of these stories in years since my older brother used to collect Transformers. I would just read his stuff when he wasn’t looking.
The Spidey, Marvel’s Godzilla and Savage Land nods early on are quite a hoot. Most def forgot about most of this stuff.
