Kind of 50/50 about picking up the next Regeneration issue, really not that interested in it. If it was picking up after G2 ended I’d be down, see some more Leige Maximo.
Guess I need to jump on the Regeneration One then
Oh yeah one detail I was wrong on in the newest MTMTE
Spoiler
It wasn’t Rung putting the data chip in a slot on his body, one of the medical droids took it and some shadowy figure picked it up, looks like Red Alert might not be so crazy
Transformations Regeneration One #82
[details=Spoiler]Oh snap not only did Megatron destroy the entire Earth and turned it into Fist of The North Star land he made Ratchet HIS BITCH! Dude’s head is a freaking hood ornament on Meg’s floating scooter, homeboy can’t talk or nothing just gets to see Megatron’s reign of terror! Hot damn Megatron’s still mad that Ratchet knocked him off the mountain back in issue #8. That was over 20 years ago, even in Transformers’ time! Talk about holding a grudge.
2012 in the comic and the entire Earth has been destroyed! The Mayan’s prediction wasn’t wrong, they were just talking about the Transformers Regeneration One comic yup yup! :looney: [/details]
Is it 2012 in the comic? I thought it was a few years at most after the end of the series during the 80s.
Yeah it’s 2012. It’s stated clearly in the FCBD issue. Furman’s last TF comic came out in 1991, and the new one is right now, 2012. So it works in real time. Furman’s crazy. CRAZY!
Aha thanks for clearing it up, altho I wonder…what if Megs destroyed Earth in the late 80s/early 90s and the events we’re reading take place in 2012? (Sorry don’t got the FCBD issue with me atm)
Right now all we know is that Megatron destroyed the Earth at some point during the 21 year gap. Probably piece by piece and not all at once. Most of the Autobots, especially Optimus Prime stayed on Cybertron and left the Earth alone during that time.
1991 - Transformers #80 (same year the issue was released)
2012 - Transformers Regeneration One #81, 82
For argument’s sake Furman’s not writing actual dates in the story - though a caption that reads ‘…In Transformers #80 (1991)’ can be taken as such and probably should.
Still if you try to shave off years you just wind up having the apocalypse occur even earlier.
If you want to add several years to the entire Transformers saga then this is some world where people used walkmans for a looong time.
You sort of run into another headache by advancing time because the animated movie’s story which occured here (Galvatron in #80 and FCBD #80.1) in an alternate future / reality is famously time stamped for taking place in 2005. A future which obviously doesn’t occur, in our world or this one. No flying cars or extended space travel for us. BOOO…
CONFUSED MUCH? Lol best to think almost every comic you buy happens when you read it. At least Furman has created a scenario where the sliding time scale isn’t needed, for now. Thank goodness robots don’t age.
Furman’s definitely breaking new ground, I can’t think of any other ‘pick up where we left off’ comics that have done something like this. We are getting an apocalyptic future in the present lol freaking awesome!

Ugh
Spoiler
Grimlock is like his original G1 self now, hope this gets fixed quick
Oh snap Circuit Smasher was naming years and time stamping like every other time he opened his mouth in the last Regeneration One issue lol! Love this comic. Megatron was NOT messing around the last few decades.

Picked up Regeneration and RID, Regeneration is cool but it’s having a hard time holding my interest.
Was pretty dope to see Superion, wondering howt he Arielbots got the ability to combine and who’s doing all this stuff ot drive the bots crazy. The time ship Turmoil used ot get to Cybertron mysteriously dissapeared, most likely suspects are Ravage, Reflector, Spectro, Spyglass, and Shockwave seeing how they’ve been up to something lately and Arcee keeps doing her own thing, letting the five of them live despite having them in her sights. Wonder whats up with her.
The idw more then meets the eye and robots in disguise has been pretty entertaining
REGENERATION OOOOOOOONE!!!1001010!!!
TRGO #85
Spoiler
Oh snap Optimus Prime killed Megatron while using Kup as a UMvC 3 Assist Card lol! And that woke up altetnate reality Galvatron! Joint was a better Megs / Galvy transition then the animated movie! Sniff sniff, I love this comic.

Wonder how long Megs is gonna stay dead?
RID #11
[details=Spoiler]
And I find it funny, while TRGO Megs is dead, Megs makes his return to Cybertron in the latest RID and Arcee continues to be playing multiple sides, giving some information to Starscream while letting him know she knows where Dirge is hiding and if she feels like it rat him out to Prowl. Hard to tell who’s on the side of the demons right now, Starscream or Prowl.[/details]
Well they did bill the fight as Megatron and Optimus’ final fight ever and they do have Galvatron. I guess you can never say never but I don’t think you’ll see him in TRO for a looong time.

Man lots of bombshells in Tf comics
MTMTE
Spoiler
Optimus’s plan works and the explosive Matrix is replaced with a non lethal one, unfortunatley the corrupt Sentaors are able to hold a few of Pax’s crew hostage and Pax’s Sentaor friend turns himself in to save them. Pax and Chromedome go to the Institute but sadly learn that thsi is just one of many Institutes. At the end of the issue the Sentaor who has remained unnamed is going through a Shadowplay operation to have his emmory wiped and Empurata, a punishment in which a bots hand and head are replaced, and we learn the Sentaors name SHOCKWAVE!
Yo Sano, you read the latest Regeneration? Haven’t had the chance to myself.
And read the previews for Spotlight: Orion Pax and the newest RID, both look dope.
Yeah I read it. Good stuff!
TRO
Spoiler
Soundwave was in a base that he thought Hot Rod might blow up and he was all like “Nah man he doesn’t have the balls to do something like that, he a scrub.” Next thing you know, KABLOOEY! HA HA go Hot Rod! I wonder if Soundwave survived. Spike told the Autobots to get the fuck off Earth, it’s their fault that joint is messed up in the first place. I don’t know why I find all of this stuff and the end of world all funny as hell. I must have a really dark sense of humor.
I gotta say, while I’m not uper interested in Regeneration Picked up two issues so far and I’m just gonna wait for a trade the covers are fucking sick.
