Yeah Primal was my fave Prime, Ginrai from Masterforce a 2nd. Armada and Cybertron Prime were both pretty cool also.
I am so tempted to buy the comics off of Comixology. It’s something about seeing the art while it is physically in your hand that takes the cake. I got a free comic to see if I like the experience. I really am not feeling it on a PC. My ReZound has a pretty solid screen size, and it is doable. The Kindle/ iPad platforms seem to be the way to go.
Robots in disguise was pretty good this week IMO, but I’m 50-50 about the art.
Who did the art this week?

Andrew Griffith, Though I’m pretty sure he’s the regular artist on the book.
I was the opposite, really wasn’t feeling this weeks issue, all the deaths struck me as completely pointless and what could have been an interesting story got cut hella quick. Dialouge was also pretty bad to. Gonna be hype t see Sky byte brought into IDW next issue though.
Who’s Sky Byte exactly? Never heard of the 'bot before @_@
He was Megatron’s second in command from Robots in Disguise, the Shark.
Ah never watched that show.
Hope he’s well characterized in the series.
FURMAN-IZM!
>The peace ends
Ugh, probably going right back to status quo, ugh.
EDIT: And it looks like they’re going back to earth, ugh.
^Uh no, the Furman book continues the story from the original Marvel series, the others won’t be affected by it.
So if you want to see Autbots vs. Decepticons on earth, read the new series, want to continue with the current direction, read the other ones.
…or at least that’s the way I think it’ll be =V
Knowing my luck it’ll be like I fear it will be, G1 obsessed nerds bitching so fucking much about the direction of both RID and MTMTE.
THE FCBD Transformers book showed where Furman’s story is going to go after his Marvel run, the same thing they did with the FCBD G.I. Joe book right before Larry Hama continued his run in G.I. Joe ARAH.
One thing that was interesting was Optimus Prime was mentoring Hot Rod (I have no idea if that happened in the original Marvel series, I left off right around when the Head Masters and Target Masters showed up).
So it is going to be a seperate series? Sweet.
Can’t wait to see more stuff with Leige Maximo, though even in the Marvel series the cons going right back to being the main enemies after taking on Jihaxus’s Forces seems dumb to me. Hope we see guys like Carnivac, Thundercracker, and Skywarp go Nuetral or something seeing how they lost all faith with Megs.
So does the new Furman series ignore the Generation 2 series?
Not sure but it picks up after issue 80. In the FBCD issue there’s no sign of Megatron as a tank, but it features gun / G1 Megatron versus his future self Galvatron.
Head Masters and Target Masters get mentioned which is pretty much where I left off.
Pretty trippy read that jumps around through eras and time periods. Or just to show how this universe is different. To sum up, this world didn’t turn out exactly how the animated movie turned out but some things are similar. Well that has been the case for quite a while anyway I think, it’s just driving the point home is all.
When the series starts it will probably be a lot more of a straight forward read.

Probably my biggest complaint about the original Marvel series was I never really cared for the artwork back then. I suppose I may have had the cartoon on my mind like most people which I thought was a lot better at chatacter designs.
Have to say that Wildman has improved vastly over the years.
It could also be that the inker Baskerville has improved or the new coloring process makes the artwork shine. Or I no longer have the cartoon on my mind? I dunno. Still I like the artwork a lot more this time around.
Oh hey after a second look, Furman confirms in the forward that it’s a continuation of G1 so in this world it seems like G2 never happened.
G2 still takes place within G.I. Joe ARAH since it continues the classic series (the crossover with Transformers is reprinted in the 14th TPB). Not that Hama is going to revisit Transformers in ARAH though.
Then again since Hama just had Cobra Commander bust out his G.I. Joe Sigma 6 armor (WTF, I mean that in a good way) anything is possible.
Eh if you’re gonna turn Megatron into a lame tank because you don’t want kids robbing liquor stores with a toy gun at least get Cobra involved.
