They take less hits to get dizzied iirc
Yeah this, most redizzies are only possible on them.
Was just wondering how much stun they had I guess.
Around 550 it seems. Just enough to make a difference.
Anyone still around? I’m going to the US for Evo (probably getting there a bit before), wanted to know if there’s still people down on this.
I still netplay now and then and I still do labwork but nothing super interesting to post about. I would play this at EVO if someone sets a station up.
Will a laptop with Zsnes suffice for you, or you just NEED to play it on SNES?
I normally play on ZSNES, so thats perfectly fine. I haven’t played this on an SNES in probably 15 years.
Only thing kind of iffy is I play all of the cast except Don on PS2 pad.
I run C.Shredder/Mike myself. It’s nothing terrible if we get a decent PS2 to USB adapter like an inpin, right?
I use a mayflash that is solid, but it uses custom drivers.
I think my best characters are Chrome/Arm/Wingnut/Don, but I play the whole cast now other than Aska. Arm/Chrome are pretty broken. I like winning off of one good read I guess.
Good stuff. I like solid play and throw loops (Shredder) or just hitting dem random ToDs (Mike).
Random question though, I’m ignorant on competitive TF. What’s the preferred speed setting?
Hi-Speed 1 and 90 seconds are the preferred settings.
I think most people like Shredder because he’s pretty easy to play and it’s really hard to be put into bad situations with him. Crusher is a pretty universal answer to all of life’s ills.
Mike I like, but I really wish he had a real hitconfirm combo. I think it’s player 2 mike who can get the spin tod on more characters, it’s weird, haha.
Why is that? P1 and P2 have different hitboxes? Also, CD is the only char with CPS chain combo?
P1 and P2 have some different quirks in regards to hitboxes, sides are different too sometimes. Wingnut p1/p2 are really different in how they interact with the corner and with downed characters which actually gives him different corner mixups depending on what position you are in controller wise.
Every character with chains can CPS chain, but only Chrome/Wingnut can combo off of theirs normally. A couple of characters get put into more hitstun when crouching though so there are some crouching only combos, but I haven’t fully explored that. They tend to be pretty bad though.
CD LP throw loop seems to work on more chars than I thought, apparently…
just sold someone my extra copy of this and told them to get ready to get owned by chromedome
Hi all! First, I just want to say that I’ve been playing this game for quite some time but only recently have been actively playing it with a friend of mine. I’m new to SRK. This is my first post here and I hope to make a lot of friends here on this forum.
With that said, I will hopefully be posting some of our casuals to YouTube in the near future. For the moment, I have created a playlist containing 100 different videos of SNES TMNT TF/MW matches coming from a variety of different channels (most of them are from darkdrizzle’s :D). I know it is not much but throughout my search I was able to dig up many different videos ranging in skill level and character choices.
Seeing as I did not get permission from anyone to put these into a playlist, if you would like me to take your videos off of it, just let me know.
Here is the link to the playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2F5BBFFE1D620C49
I love how the “vs CPU” matches for TF have like 3 times as many views as the high level play matches…
I’ve noticed that too… A lot of the “playthrough” videos also have a very large amount of views over the competitive matches. It bothered me a little but I don’t know what can be done to promote the competitive videos more. I don’t think I included any CPU match videos in the playlist but I might be wrong.
Zar…
Thinking about giving this another shot on netplay via ZSNES/SNES9X. If anyone is interested, post or drop me a pm. 11pm EST tonight and/or tomorrow night I should be free.
