I need to find the meter location first though I just have health and timer locations.

Edit: Just tested to see if vitality based damage scaling was in, it is.
There is damage scaling near death it shrinks damage by half, but there is small point were you get a damage boost.
I used Shredder’s standing jab it does 6 points of damage.

weird, how close to death? Also does the scaling go on a per hit basis or on a combo basis?

Would there be an easy way to extract damage/stun/meter gain easily from the ROM?

I heard that defense is really strong in this game because half of the cast has turtle power??? :wonder:

I dunno about combo basis yet I haven’t tried. Around 30 points of health it’ll half. Around in the mid 40s you’ll get a small boost.

I’m only poking around in the RAM with Snes 9x RR at the moment. I haven’t thought of looking in the ROM.

Interesting, maybe thats why damage seems somewhat consistent to me.

7E1AC4 - PL1 METER(Goes up to 84 [Magic Pixel] Activation happens at 80)
7E1ACA - PL1 METER DRAIN TIMER (60 frames for 1 point)

Don’t know how to cause activation(via cheats) yet but getting there.

I’ve noticed the magic pixel for super meter gain, sometimes if you just get super it’ll instantly run out.

This is the hardest I had to do for cheats, but here it is an updated cheat file with infinite meter.

Interesting tidbit I didn’t know(probably where I haven’t read the whole thread). Is that you can’t activate supers at the same time or during the middle of one.

Couple of notes
It’s possible to setup unblockable sweep in blockstrings with most everyone as far as I can tell. It feels like a 1 frame link. Only tested vs. aska/arm, but I’ll be testing more soon.

If you’re holding a button it becomes almost impossible to do Leo’s/Aska’s dps. You can even hold R/L. This is useful for Leo if you want to do walk forward fireball without getting an accidental dp.

This is very, VERY helpfull to my Leo zoning!

NINJA TURTLE EDIT and off topic: I was sometimes on a “turtle fever” that I even thought of building a dedicated mini cabinet for the game, haha the control panel was going to be all green, turtle shell like, and sanwa buttons and sticks (all green too) haha and the rest of the cab was going to be like their turtle truck from the catoon lol

BTW can I use a cad program ior something simpler to do that in 3d?

Is there only 2 boss characters? I decided to make a quick character select cheat if I force any number higher than 11(0B) it crashes.

Edit: Alternate palette is literally a switch no matter what value in that slot you’ll get the alt color.

Player 1 had value 02. Player to had value 03.

Just the two.

Interesting. In the JP version what button you press determines if you get the alt or normal color. An easy way to do that with cheats would be cool.

I guess I need to mess with the jp version too. Also I looked in the ROM its definitely using encryption to the point where you can’t see standard text.

Edit: Hmm a beta got dumped too.

Quick differences with the Beta
Title screen is different(there is text for 1 Player game on there)
Aska is known as Mitsu (Uses Japanese sprite)
Wing nut is called Wing Nat (Probably as a joke with his tiny ass hit box)

You have to hit Wing nut (well the general area where a hitbox should be) in order to start it.

Note: SNES9x framerate goes kind of crazy when I record, so it’s like 90fps so I mess up a lot due to the speed. Though the actual avi works fine, no idea why it does that.

I made a level select cheat, but it caused some bugs it allowed me to select the boss character and not allow player 1 to play as long it was activated and shows a sixth option the title screen.

Edit that Group Mode only appears on the Japanese version just tried it on the American version.
