Only caught two episodes so far (latest one and a swordsmen episode with Lion-O and Snarf). Not bad, dislike Kevin Michael Richardson voicing anyone in anything but I assume he is cheap so I’ll let it pass.
At least my boy Tygra has a personality this time around, I like the darker mood and resentment he exhibits.
I dunno, her interaction with Lion-o seems more along the lines of trying to be there for him, because LO has all this responsibility thrust upon him and well, somebody’s gotta keep reminding him that he CAN do this amidst all these various episodes where he STILL has to learn some profound truth about himself or another type of life lesson.
But romance? I think Tygra being the more confident and “darker” brother is what’s eventually going to get Cheetara…unless this “betrayal” thing really does mean that Tygra is going to do something REALLY bad. Besides, Tygra DID see her first. That’s gotta count for something, right?
dunno, i have the feeling that they are trying to set a posible love triangle between them, but in the end Lion O would end with Cheetara

I fully agree with the love triangle aspect, but I still believe Tygra probably will win out. I just don’t really see that much in the way of evidence to showcase that there’s something “real” between Cheetara and LO.
Besides, I think it’s only fair Tygra actually gets something. As it stands right now, Lion-O has the lordship, the sword and probably will get all of the DLC GEM POWERUPS sometime in the near future. It’s almost too perfect a setup, thus, I don’t think he’s going to get the girl, too.
I say, let Lion-O’s still somewhat immature ass grow up a bit more, then you can conveniently have someone like Pumyra 2.0 come into the picture. Then he can actually say he “earned” something for once.

This past Friday’s ep showcased through some flashbacks that Tygra had met her years before the start of the series, before Cheetara joined up officially with Jaga’s bunch. So, if rules of “I SAW HER FIRST” ever came into play, Tygra’s got his little brother beat. :lol:
I think the newest ep was one of the better ones since it was more focused on the main story rather than “let’s meet the folks of the next weird village we show up at” (still the elephants were there)
next episode looks good. more mumm-ra should get things back on track.
Man the plot is predictable, cliche crap but I can’t stop watching this show. The character designs and animation are so jaw-droppingly beautiful that I can easily forgive the cheesy melodrama.
I like how the series seems to follow a video game structure where there’s a “boss battle” in every episode. You’ve got a drill robot, a teddy bear hunter in an armored tank, a giant rock beast and even a dramatic fight against a recurring former-ally-gone-rogue. That’s so sweet. If only this was made in the 90s so that Konami could make an awesome beat-em-up out of it.
