Still on episode 3 last I checked, that’s the one I was sent earlier. I was checking to see if anyone had one that was up to date.

For some reason I’m imagining that machine as a pain-in-the-ass Mega Man sub boss.
Another good episode. I like that the episode was pretty much a showcase of how badass Pathero is. Though I don’t like how easily he was won over by Lion-O. He didn’t do much to secure his loyalty but at least he won’t let him drive the Thundertank.
Sheeeit, Panthro and Grune were an unbeatable tag team of DOOM back in the day… G was never satisfied though… the flashbacks here were cool and provided some interesting background story material. I’m really looking forward to more Mumm-Ra action though. It’s still exciting to me that this new version of the show exists at all…and the reigns of censorship are much more loose in the modern era…so Mumm-Ra can really cut loose and live up to the potential now.
I’m still looking for one of those blasted samoflanges myself.
*Someone out there in tv-animation land— Silverhawks remake…please make it so…yessss… and a new version of C.O.P.S. might be nice as well… whoever owns the rights to these old shows probably doesn’t even realize the potential GOLDMINE they’re sitting on right now.

I noticed something about the thundertank too. It’s colors are different from the actual toy thundertank. Something to think about there too.
And there’s talk of silverhawks in this new thundercats too.
At comic-con the show creators mentioned something about the Silver Hawks making an appearance on this show. I don’t remember if Third Earth ever had a humans but I’ll welcome the cameo

I’m getting worried about this show. First 2 eps (aka, the hour premiere) was gold. Ep 3 was less good but okay; very Lion-o centric. Ep 4; same thing. Ep 5; sorta-kinda the same thing. Why isn’t Tygra talking? I loved him in the premiere but now he’s just backseating for Lion-o.
I dunno. This is still a better cartoon than most – and just to troll the people still salty about my anime jabs earlier, better than 98% of anime – but it’s starting to slip into “just okay” territory. And I want it to be more than that.
Cheeta-ra and Tygra need to have more to do in episodes, so far it’s mostly been LionO.
Good ep. IMO, and lol at young Panthro being a beefier version of the 80s show.

He’s acting like that cuz Lion-O is proving right more often, and he doesn’t know how to act now, other than slight rebellion and teasing (Panthro comments in the beginning of latest ep)
That’s what I suspect. I just wish the show gave him a line or two to show his newfound doubt. One or two little lines. I’m all about less is more when it comes to dialogue but still.
now i’m pretty interested in seeing more of mumm-ra’s back story
his pyramid seems to have plenty of technology running through it
lol imma laugh if the original thundercats is canon in the new universe and to stop mumm-ra lion-o somehow rebooted the universe. it seems all the legends are talking about the og thundercats.

I can see it now: OG Lion-O named his son Clawdus after his father to honor his greatness…Clawdus then named his own son after his father, Lion-O, vanquisher of Mumm-Ra…as for the rest, I can’t explain THAT shit. I COULD, in theory, but I got shit to do. My Best Of The Get-Along Gang dvd just came and I’m gonna step back a couple decades and re-live a portion of my weekday childhood afternoons.
This episode was mostly flashbacks and stuff but I hope we get more interaction from the entire cast soon. Thus far it’s been one main character of the episode and everyone else is just background scenery.
Tygra was quiet because he was wonder about what exactly a samoflange was the entire episode.
