Agreed. For now it’s tolerable, but if it becomes a staple I’ll be immensely disappointed.

I wasnt really feeling the Emrick thing much. Dude failed at fighting a bird thing, helped make some dust, then died of old age. I dont think that little montage of him near the end of the episode was really necessary, Felt like it overblows things. “Remember all those times we had with Emrick audience?” “That whole 20+ minutes?”
And I definitively didnt care for how the episode ended:
Cheetara: “Hey, Lion-O! Should we try to slip away and stick to the plan of finding the book of mcguffin, since we learned in last week’s “lesson” that we shouldn’t do shortsighted revenge shit and think of the bigger picture.”
Lion-O: “Lol no. This week we learned that we should live our lives to the fullest and that why we’ll charge an army that kicked out entire race’s collective ass and get ourselves cornered, so we can pray for a deus ex machina to save us!”
Tigra: “Fuck yeah! I’ll forget that last week, I was all about not doing retarded shit and instead insist that we do this suicide attack! Because suddenly Thundercats never back away! Even if it means certain death as far as we can tell!”
Agreed. I didn’t like this, though I’ve enjoyed the majority of the episodes so far.
EDIT - Playing devil’s advocate: I can kinda see why Lion-o, Tygra, and Cheetara are confuddled about how to act. They lost their entire world, and even though last time Tygra was all about the wisdom of caution, he may have grown impatient between then and now.
That said, if that was the case, the episode could have shown some subtle hint showing exactly that.
Just watched it, the petal people touched me, really put life into perspective, the ending was boss to me, Nicca come riding in a hummer with nunchucks and shit. Show has me hooked and I haven’t payed attention to cartoons closely besides the boondocks in years.

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned it or not, but did anyone catch that little wink from Warner Bros. in the first episode where Lion-O and Cheetara are in that “Technology” dealers shop and Lion-O throws a flamiliar robot arm with fur at Cheetara. Looks like an arm of those robot bears from the old show, can’t remember what they were called. It’s like they are saying “Oh by the way, no robot bears”
Those useless creatures were called Berbils.
