lol she’s been givin lion-o the signs since episode one…so i feel like tygra is the gonna be the odd man out.
I actually think the signals have been coming a little too fast IMO. But I guess having a female feline who isn’t a flake is refreshing.
i imagined we can just chock that up to him being the alpha male and king. animal thing.
Surprised to see so many surprised by the series. Studio 4C is a studio you can bank on for quality.
King maybe, but not really alpha male status yet. He needs to prove superiority over Tygra first. In any case, I don’t think the show is that complex to use hierarchy for reasons of attraction.
I don’t think most people intensely follow animation companies to keep track of what’s quality or not. Let’s not forget that shows have to be written properly as well.
Studio 4C also did the SF4 Anime so yea.
that last episode made me tear up a little bit.
just because that lil plant guy was so likeable…but alas the fate of a tragic hero befalls him.
RIP lil guy.
/spoiler oh, and fucking PANTHRO!!!
did anyone notice this? in the first episode they knew who panthro was but when he finally shows up they were like… WHO ARE YOU?? just a little nitpicking thats all./spolier
Well they did think he was dead, and he was cast in shadow.
Ty would body Lo tho.
And shout outs to my nigga Emmeret (sp?). The age thing was real funny to me
Glad they finally learned how to draw muscles rather than just make people look lumpy.
Quality != just the visuals. Hence why anime proper is mostly trash, very pretty trash.
Hahaha yeah sure buddy. Yes let’s act like the visual side in visual arts isn’t the most important aspect. Visual direction is so much more than pretty pictures. No good movie can be poorly directed, the same goes for animation.
The writing isn’t nearly as important as the ability to tell the story with visuals, because no writer, however terrific, can save from poor direction, especially in animation. A horrible studio means out of wack pacing, inappropriate character reactions, inattentive to detail, inconsistent character proportionality, and incoherent action scenes, all of this on top of what the visual team on a film would normally handle. All of these things are what make the writing WORK! Without it, the writing, however good, will flop as hard as Gay Niggers In Outerspace.
So no, quality doesn’t = just the visuals, anymore than the studio means just drawing pictures. For an aspiring screenwriter, you sure lack an understanding of your medium.
Hell of a way to take what he said and turn it into a rant about something he didn’t say.
And damn we already talking about potential love triangle around Cheetara? Y’all dumb. Jaga gonna smash that first.
wut?
I have an even better idea: let’s act like we’re trying to be the anthropomorphic embodiment of this list while simultaneously failing to read this very important part of my post:
Which is funny given my post was 2 fucking sentences long.
While we’re at it, let’s act like we’re not being extraordinarily defensive in a way that makes it blatantly obvious we’re actually salty.
Wicked observations, Sherlock: indeed, without you here to prove otherwise, I likely would have continued believing that a visual medium could succeed with poor visuals. Fucktits dynamite, I cannot believe where I would have been had I not been privy to your insight, that, hey, fuck yeah, a TV show needs to not look like shit!
So blown away I am at your ability to deduce the painfully obvious, I’ve assumed – and I don’t need to explain this to a genius such as yourself, but let’s cast the relative swine a few pearls – that your blatant disregard to acknowledge like every worthwhile author, director, producer, studio head, actor, and flippin’ teamster knows, that any quality film or TV show requires a great deal many well-executed parts, including visuals AND writing (amongst a fuckton of other things), is but the workings of a higher-level, ten steps ahead intellect at work.
I mean, it’s not as though Thundercats would have suffered if it looked exactly the way it looked but had the level of writing and quality of scripts in, say, Ben 10 or, to ensure our friends on the other side of the Pacific don’t feel left out, just about any non-Miyazaki, non-Satoshi Kon animated work.
Cunning analysis from no doubt an equally cunning human being. I’ve no doubt your contributions to society equal or surpass that of Earth’s greatest kings.
It’s a horrible film from the 90s (non-porno, but with really disgusting language so nsfw.) The whole thing is on youtube.
And yet you continue to state that the only thing an animation studio does is make the shook look pretty.
Except in animation, the studio is half the actor, half the producer, the director, the cinematographer, special effects artist, the amount of responsibilities that an animation studio holds greatly outweighs any other part of the production.
,
Why do you keep dragging anime into this?
"oh my god he’s got an anime avatar and is talking about a Japanese animation studio, the bastard must be a weeaboo"
Even more, the fact that you disregard an entire industry as a way to insult my intelligence is rather insulting, and it’s also blatenly clear by the two you listed that you’re aquantience with Japanese animation runs about as deep as Toonami and Disney XD.
The things I’ve talked about apply to all animation, Japan has nothing to do with it.
Assuming the age in your profile is accurate, I’ve been watching anime pretty regularly for about 7 years longer than you’ve been alive. My “aquantience” runs as inversely-proportionately deep as your ability to reason.
Yeah listen motherfucker, this is getting old way faster than I anticipated. So how about you point out precisely where I said the only thing an animation studio does is make shit look pretty. Exact quote, exact words, no straw-manning, no putting words in my mouth, no taking sarcasm out of context: exact quote, word for word.
Go.
is that the reference? lol upn ftl
I hope the inconsistancy in characterization between this episode an the last doesn’t carry through overall.
