Other region’s online CPT did have laggy matches but it never became the focus of the whole tournament. NA region just doing the most man.

Nah the connection was really laggy afterwards punk tried to contest the results. Punk sent a message saying fuck cpt and the organizers and that he doesn’t care anymore.

Ps- punk played against momochi and Nemo and had a way better connection. Almost all of Myers matches
Lagged today, and it’s mainly up to players to DQ themselves after a match. But honestly who’s going to do that?
imagine a world where the FGC spent time asking for Capcom about story mode instead of hammering it down their throats about netcode.

Ah, that’s unfortunate but Punk has to know that it’s online and that’s what he signed up for. Pretty weak to bitch after the fact.
Online tournaments only seem to work out well in Asia. Outside of that it’s a crap shoot, and the players should be ready for some wacky matches.

Everybody who joined it knows EXACTLY what kind of shit ass netcode they were getting involved with. you literally signed up to roll dices on connectivity with this wack ass netcode.

No company gets asked for netcode. It’s just time to face facts. The great majority of players legitimately do not care about netcode as long as they can get their waifu outfits and 3 hours of Story Mode. At this point Netcode Improvement rests on personal pride of the developers.

there are to this day people who defend the netcode and claim its fine.
i see nothing wrong about trashing it public during such events. thats how you actually can pressure companys to get their shit together.
no competitor should be surprised that this stuff happens but that doesnt mean they should be quiet about it when shit goes wrong.
