Some probably are, as unethical as it may be.
AVG honestly had the best performance over the years for me, but lately I haven’t been using any.

My PC has been free of that for a good while now.
It’s funny how AVG still doesn’t let me fire up that game. This only proves it’s a good anti-virus that wants to keep me safe.

Well yeah I’m not saying she isn’t badass but the issue is that you could put any character inside the suit and it would change nothing.
Again, important for her time and plenty of Metroid games are outright masterpieces but I think people need to pump the brakes when they call her “one of the best female characters in gaming”. Important yes, best no.

If I recall, or more accurately, if google is on the ball, S5 was announced May 27th.
I expect one character and hope that the rest will be at least revealed, even if they don’t have anything to show.
A lot of the stuff that’s implied about her through gameplay in most games work fine. It’s not explicit most of the time, and not terribly deep as she’s not usually the focus of the story, but you get glimpses, and they work fine.
Metroid Fusion Samus, though, is a character I really liked. While still a certifiable badass she felt well-reflected and reacted like a human would to a lot of circumstances.

Nah, she’s really one of the best female characters out there because of how important she is.
She may not be the most explictly developed character, but she has a surprising amount of depth with how she reacts to certain stuff like The Baby 
in the canon games like Samus Returns and how the Prime Trilogy develops her in general.
Much like Metroid as a franchise, it’s less about explicit dialogue and more about alternate forms of storytelling.
Don’t hold your breath.
I’m honestly curious about how this season will turn out. It’s the closest thing we’ll have to a glimpse of SF6 until a trailer for it is released.

That’s not how it works. You can be an important character, you can be an outright icon, without being an actually “good” character. Same with games or any media. Up until the Remake, FFVII I’d argue is one of the worse FF games overall. But I’d never undercut its sheer importance not only to the franchise, but to gaming as a whole. It’s the same thing with Samus for me.
And I feel Metroid has always been about everything else other than Samus when it comes to the storytelling. The worlds and its inhabitants are what matters, we as Samus are just an extremely small part of it trying to survive them.
I’m more willing to accept that Samus as a protagonist isn’t that deep of a character, but to say that she’s “just there” as if she was 2D Link-tier of blank slate isn’t that accurate in my opinion.
She’s not super developed, but she’s a good character in my book.
