Wanted to Drop a rare post on SRK about my thoughts on MvsC3 and the current hate from SF players hating on SSF4 ppl thanking the Heavens that MvsC3 has arrived which in fact top Marvel players dislike the game already (hmm i wonder why, i will get to that later…cough… X factor…easy repetitiousness combos w/some practice…spam whatever moves necessary…excuse me) ,IMO the universal opinion is that SF will ALWAYS be the definitive game regardless of what ppl say or any game that comes after it.
MvsC3 what can I say, it is defiantly a departure of what I’m use to in the SF4 series.
Going from a slow paced footsie reactionary game or occasional rush-down to mix up or having a ground strategy to keep your opponent at bay mix with mind games and the fun part of SF4 is that through time your game matures and u get better as a player over time, things learned doesn’t come so easy if your a casual who cares kind of player…u will never really like the game or get better, all u will do is most likely default by saying F*** SF bash the game with every word from the dictionary but the truth is like recent studies concluded that generally ppl (What motivates ppl…For simple straight forward task if then, u get this reward is outstanding BUT when the task get more complicated requires conceptual creative thinking those kinds of motivators don’t work) …Don’t troll me about this i know what i said is a little deep lol :)… swallow what I’m saying on a foundational level but that’s kind of what I think SF does to ppl & why they don’t like the game over time or motivated to play it, imo they play the game b/c majority of ppl play it. If you want to improve at SF it really does test your patience & skills to minimize mistakes and learn to think ahead like chess to defeat your opponent & also what I have realized is to have a good attitude about playing the game (The SF community can get too personal with some ppl creating tainted environments not conducive for playing) & Just ignore occasional jackass comments from ppl or the person period like I do now… i have changed alot on this topic I out right ignore these kinds of ppl I see as a problem. Letting the negative BS that this game seems to incite into ppl roll right off your back is always good. It ok to get upset about a match up etc. etc. but for some it gets too personal & pride gets in the way or they throw the troll card when ever they want as a defense mechanism.—> moving on
SF4 is a brilliant game in it’s own right, this literally revived the fighting generation to what your seeing today. Random, but if Mortal K 9 had SF4 fighting engine & speed of the game it would be too good but of course Americans made this game & still has a block button & same walk stance speed oh lol same jab animation…wow behind the times…
Now For MvsC3 OMGosh this game is good & chaotic as it suppose to be but to be really honest it’s really hard to take seriously even JWong said this a guy who is a die hard MvsC anything Fan also saying “its hard to get good at MvsC2 but easy to get good at MvsC3”… In fact most top MvsC 2 players dislike the game which is very ironic considering they have been waiting for this game like the holy grail for ten years & are more die hard fan then any of us combined.
Yes I know most of u like sheep (i’m trolling u) love the game & think it is a breath of fresh air from SSF4, that’s ok its expected.—>moving on in the game my team is Dante/Zero/Akuma – will work on Phoenix on the side when i get the game I like the combo potential of the game and the cast for MvsC3. Good mix of characters that seem to mesh pretty well. I think the game is pretty straight forward BLOCK/WAIT/ATTACK/RUSDOWN/SPAM ASSIST/oh wait SUPER!/SPAM PROJECTILES/oh I CAN X FACTOR-- DESTROY ALL N A FEW HITS/REPEAT etc.etc.
IMO learn how to combo & you will be good immediately (OH JWONG Said that too) of course when you learn some mix up potential u will get even better. Also, when necessary use X factor, this move makes u think your good when you won off of two hits on a single character…cough Sentential…Of course can’t wait till some of us master 100% combos into X Factor (can’t wait for that, thank u capcom), tag combos & Spam assist correctly is golden in this game…oh push block at times good idea almost revolutionary
Why I think the game is a little ridiculous, minus the sodium in what I’m saying just stating MO (if u use “reason” u might agree) & why some top players that know better then I do from MvsC2 hate the game put it simply
–X Factor…X Factor is quite possibly the cheapest special in any game…is why most of this game requires no thought or serious thinking when u have this special at your disposal…Yes I know attack smart but if you get one hit on the character, your finished. I played Bagels yesterday for example when he X Factor Sentential I could have won a few times but when he hit me once 40% to 50% damge one hit…um yeah in ABK words “rap time!”…I said “What, Ok” press rematch button please.
–100% combos once learned wow enough said (yes its very cool in concept but 100%… really?)…Most ppl in the SF4 world bit*h about mashing DP’s oh but u will tolerate X factor & 100% combos love the logic.

Oh one of the top players from MvsC2 said “i do enjoy playing the game its really fun but hard to take seriously cause of the shit that happens in the game”
As for me I will still play the game and try to get better but take seriously that is yet to be determined as well as juggle SSF4 from time to time till AE is console.
Anyways I’m done discussing my thoughts on these two issues & had my fun speaking my mind

P.S. Whichever game is your cup of tea… Just shut up (no disrespect) and drink it & when you?re done request for more. Both games are different from each other, different mind sets. If thinking or using your cognitive faculties is not for U as well as hit timed combos that requires solid execution (Some say SSF4 is easy which I disagree I see players still can’t FADC into anything for the life of them as well as hit combos consistently & the game has been out for 3years or more including Vanilla) then SSF4 or AE is NOT your game but if you favor a mindless masterpiece without really using all your mind’s power (some what kidding) and harness the power of all the brokenness this game provides in potential then MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3 is your game!! Oh yes you will be able to do ridiculous combos like 99 hits amazing stuff!
Madoc pointed out that I speaking to soon that it is day 1 but that is the problem once we all start getting better and understanding how to play the game better…We will all be walking broken players not the characters b/c what the games provides potential wise.
Oh, I would like to express my sincere condolences to Sanford Kelly, JWong, Marn & other’s that mastered MvsC2 and all that brought to nothing or at least they sound like it hating on MvsC3 for being to0 easy etc… So sad, I feel your pain ;( —I guess like Microsoft did to the computer in the early 90’s developing the best OS ever and now 97% of all computers uses the OS. What did it do; made things FASTER and EASIER well like tech advancing so did MarvelvsC3 over MvsC2 it got easier & better.
