Well, recently, I tried out some Touhou games so I could enjoy the vast collection of yuri doujins out there.
My new highest., unattainable goal in life is to be able to beat one. (on easy).
Eff that, Iām still trying to 1cc my own game.
Siliconera is reporting that XBLA Radiant Silvergun will have both the Arcade and Saturn versions of the game. Wicked sick.
Ah cool Saturn mode will be in. I had a feeling it would be there to go along with the rumored new Ikaruga style mode. Really want to see a video of that. I wonder if they are actually going to ikaruga-fy the game or if they are just going to let you continue chains between colors instead of sticking with just one color.
Eh either way Iām interested in seeing what they do.
I canāt stand Ikarugaā¦ too much memory involved they have a combo system like thatā¦ not only that but Ikaruga favors memory over ALLā¦ itās not even a game about reflexes anymore, just timing and memorizationā¦

Itās a puzzle game. You wont like Radiant Silvergun itās almost exactly the same.
I didnāt feel that way when I played RS. It was more of a āDestroy things how you want to but there is a better way than just using whatever guns you want.ā
Donāt most shnups require immense amounts of memorization? Do they make bullet hell shooters with random patterns? That seems quite sadistic.
Unless youāre playing on Saturn Mode with a saved game then playing that way will underpower you so badly you wont be able to beat any of the later bosses within the time limit much less with 100%.
Oh yeah I forgot about that. The weapons upgrade when you use them the right way right?
Itās not most shmups, just bullet hells. The older style of shmup like Raiden where you have a huge hitbox but bullets are sparse but fast is ārandomā since they aim specifically at you. But then this style isnāt very popular lately
Points scored count as exp so chaining with a certain weapon levels it up quickly as well as killing boss parts with weapons to. You wanna find the best weapons for the best situations but also try to level most everything up somewhat evenly. When you initially start playing youāll be finding yourself under powered for most sections of the game and will begin having to plan out how to app get that part with the appropriate weapons leveled up for the fight as well as every fight before that one. Itās a puzzle game. Itās meant to be figured out. Itās not about reflexes so much as brain power and stamina.
Ok guys and your shooter games. I have been trying to find or atleast figure out the name of a certain shooting game. Here is a list of specs:

A top down shooter - Something more like Smash TV and not like Gradius. (may have been at a slight angle but still somewhat looking down)
3rd person since the camera is above.
Has 3 characters to choose from all aliens of sorts I guess. They each had names of body parts like Spine, Joint, and Skull or something like that.

Currently this game has me by the balls but its definitely worth playingā¦ do not want it to end periodā¦
However, its one of those āeither you love it or you hate itā gamesā¦ once you learn the perfect way to beat a level, you will be able to beat it every time(barring possible mistakes that can be made in a level)ā¦
I like the high-score aspect of the game, as this is the first leaderboard Iāve ever cared aboutā¦ I wish there was more people to compete withā¦ although like 10,000 folks have the game, thatās not really enoughā¦ Iām ranked 200-something for each level I have beaten on a second/third runā¦
There is also downloadable footage of the top 10 players for each stage on the leaderboardsā¦ however you have to beat a level with your own effort in order to get a glimpse at the best possible way to beat a levelā¦
I was fooled about downloadable maps though, you canāt get them from anyone, they must be on your friendās listā¦ otherwise you are fuckedā¦
Havenāt played around with the map edit option yetā¦ seems cool but not sure about how many options are availableā¦ map creation is so damn boring to meā¦
