I just picked up Bangai-O Missile Fury. Game is addicting. My only complaints are that it totally lacks any kind of story; Riki and Mami with their totally batshit insane story made Bangai-O really fun. Not a big deal though. Game feels like it’s harder than the first Bangai-O.
Just about any shmup playable in regular MAME is playable in shmupmame. Some I’d recommend would be Dangun Feveron, Progear, Armed Police Batrider, and Batsugun. Of course, you’ll have to find the proper roms on your own.
You do realize it just came out for XBLA, right?
I’ve heard good things about Trouble Witches Neo so far, but haven’t had the chance to play it between Eschatos and Bangai-O. Looks like someone is finally getting close to beating Eschatos on Hardest. That guy is pretty much on top of every leader board.

i downloaded the newest version 3 but the one that is none source and it does not want to launch. is there something you are supposed to do with the source one as well?

So I played trouble witches neo demo today. I absolutely loved magical chase on the tg16 and this game is also really fun. But my only gripe is that this game takes animu faggotry to levels I did’nt even know existed. I dont know if my manhood would allow me to purchase it. Every time I get to an pumpkin item shop I just cringe listening to the shopkeeper talk. Its the kind of game that would make it embarrassing to have other people in the room.

what is the program doing or not doing for you? One of the small things that seem to make a big difference is to have your ROMS on a different hard drive from the actual program. if it still isn’t working for you, holla back.

It’s fun but should I really pay for it?.. Why not? Haven’t had time to play lately… my copy of Crimzon Clover is acting up… dancing between 59.4-60.4 frame rate is not cool… I feel a slight studder when it happens… throw my dodging off hardcore… until I can figure this out I’ll have to stop playing:sad:…

it is not launching the emulator itself, i get some 0xc00000001 error. it is for windows 32 but im running windows 64-bit, does that matter?

Hmmmm… never got that before. I don’t think that 64-bit verses 32 should make a difference, but you never know. Does regular MAME UI work for you? If so, it just might be a bad download. Which OS are you running? I’m on Vista (I know. BOO!! HISSS!!!) with 32-bit and I’m having no problems with mine. If I find any more answers, I’ll post.

oh yeah HeaT, In case you don’t know about the site www.emuasylum.com, they have a good little bit of knowledge on the subject of MAME and might be able to address your problem. I’ve already scanned the site myself and didn’t see anything in particular, but you can always make a thread once you join. happy hunting. I’ll stay on the trail in other places.
