you’ll be dissapoint if you’re expecting the soundtrack that comes with the game to have tracks from the OST
but its a good game/purchase
i know about the arranged soundtrack. so, microsoft pretty much secured cave like ea secured the nfl license?
Microsoft has always been more open to 2D games. Last gen Sony was being dickish to 2D game makers iirc. I think that attitude carried over into now with Sony. We still barely see 2D stuff. We see plenty 2.5D shmups but not straight up sprites.
SCEA is the one with a hardline stance against 2D… SCEJ never had a problem with it. There’s a ton of great shooters and 2D games on PS1, even though Saturn had the better 2D library (and better hardware for 2D). PS2 was the console for 2D games after DC crapped out, even though SNKP ported a lot of fighters to Xbox.
Sony’s said they want ‘better’ quality control for PSN titles compared to XBLA. Plus Cave did make a commitment to support 360. Put those together and that’s probably why you’ll see a 2D game on PSP (like KoF Sky Stage), or even PS2, before it shows up on your PS3.
I honestly think that both Microsoft and Sony are going about their business the wrong way. Microsoft is a bit better with the indie arcade but with price caps at $5 that kind of kills it for a bigger developer like Cave (unless it’s an original game with a small budget, perfect for the Indie channel).
I wish things were more like Steam, in that we constantly get releases and constantly get sales and discounts.
Glad to see my people are still getting shot and that the Empire Of Ammo still goes strong. From the looks and sounds of things, I may have to get with the XBOX before replacing the PS3. That being said, does anybody have any news on the new 360 Black? Good? bad? the same? (I’m talking about the reliability. ) sounds like they’re the place to be when it comes to getting shot. Seriously though, I gots to get PAID around here!! Games ain’t cheap and my old ass CRT just don’t cut it on the visual side if you get my drift. Mother fucks need to open the employment area around here! I gotta get shot!!!

yo, have you heard if the achievements are glitched because im not getting some of the achievements, that are VERY obvious and clear cut that i have done, like beat the game with this character or return this character to the real world etc. at the end of the achievement it usually says something like arcade/360 im assuming the achievement is attained by doing either or and not both correct?
ya i played it, it is cool. game starts getting hard in the middle section of the map, where you have a really long levels without any saves.

tatio and furry, thanks for clearing that up for me. it would’ve been dope to play ds and the other cave shooters on the ps3. well, i guess i’ll stick to the psp and final burn. later on down the line, i might have to get a cheap 360 off of craigslist to play these games.
pick up the gundemonium recollection collection on the ps3 if you want some action. it is leagues better than Deathsmiles

Ok, I’ve heard good things about Gundemonium, but it sounds to me like thems fightan wordz.
Thems is fightan words. I was completely unimpressed with Gundamonium when i Played back when that ish was still Doujinsoft.
The achievements for beating the game with a specific character/ending is either Arcade or 360. It does not work with 1.1 or any of the MBL versions.
Yeah, it kinda ticks me off when I hear people go “THIS SHOULD BE XBLA I CAN BEAT IT IN 30 MINUTES BLAHBLAHBLAH” every single time one of these games gets discussed on a “mainstream” site.
Talk about Gundemonium, it is pretty good and worth the purchase but tbh Deathsmiles is better imo (I have to get a 360 if I want to play it again… the arcade I went to no longer have it, chances are someone brought the cabinet…)
Hitogata Happa, on the other hand is pretty unique and fun to play.
Slowdown was removed from Deathsmiles in the US release… definitely would not have bought this if I knew beforehand.
Huh? no it wasn’t, it’s in the xbox 360 mode even. I heard the arcade mode is completely arcade perfect though.
How come GTA4 has a cover system, but Halo 3 can’t get with the times… and also could someone explain why call of duty games shouldn’t have a cover system…
I found it personally annoying tbh… and don’t give me the “play Gears of War” BS, I don’t want an over the top game with a cover system, I want a realistic fucking game with a cover system:mad:
I have a better question, is it possible to go any game and beat it without dying on your first try?
Maybe if you watch many videos many many times and memorize EVERYTHING perfectly, and have top-notch execution and well-trained eyes. Otherwise no. You need to actually play the game, get used to the system, the way scoring works, and memorize enemy/bullet patterns, just to name a few things.
This is just for 1CC a shmup on default difficulty setting
Because they are FPS’s with no cover system, not 3rd Person shooters with a cover system. I’m not gonna say “Go play Gears of War” I’m simply going to say “Cuz their not Gears of War.” Their not that type of game. It’s nto about being outdated, it;s about not being that type of game.
Also this threads about arcade style smhups, not console gun games.
