just popping in to post my score on otomedius excellent. kinda feel compelled to post this time around because iâm really not a super crazy shmup guy and finally breaking that 10mil really felt like an achievement for me. i donât play online so youâre not gonna find this score on the leaderboards/ranking as 90% of the time i donât bother connecting to xbl.

like i mentioned before, not a shmup guy here but compared to others iâve played, this game really did feel easier. playthrough was about 5-6hrs long. started at about 9am-ish and ended up stopping at around 3pm. didnât even lose at 8-1 just decided to let go of the controller because i just decided that 7 loops was enough. alrdy did a couple of 1cc runs with default Hyper on expert and as far as i can tell, aside from some extra enemies at certain points in a couple of the stages the most notable change is the free shield power up you get at the beginning.
recently caved in and connected online, checked out the rankings, and now i have a couple questions. first off, how do replays work? watched a couple of the high ranking replays and some just seem kinda weird ⌠like the player just stops and loses at a certain point and the recording ends, maybe due to an error concerning the game unable the read the rest of the command inputs? also, is there any way to tell what the game settings were for the playthrough without dling the replay? lastly, is there even a Hyper Aoba category? kinda got used to playing her and i found it odd that there isnât even a character filter for her.
Finally got the 1cc on Mushihime-sama Futari Black Label.
Oh shiet. You shoulda made a video of that. I guess I need to get in gear on that one. Good Job. :tup:

I was able to no-miss the first three stages and got the 100 million extend, the 200 million extend, and even the extend at the top of the screen in level 5 when you destroy the building. I also managed not to die with any bombs in stock. I went into the last boss fight with 4 lives, dodged the patterns that I could, and then just bomb spammed Larsa to death. I finished with two lives and two bombs in stock.
This weekend was Meh city. I couldnât string together a win with this damnable headache. I swear. Iâm going to a doctor. Hopefully they will have some idea what the hell is going on. Iâve eaten too many aspirin as is. Time to call in the big guns.

I am currently obsessing over doujin shmups. I think I peaked too early, I started off with Crimzon Clover, the creme of the crop. I am currently enjoying that, refleX, Blue Wish Resurrection, Cloudphobia and a few others. I tried a few Touhou games and I really didnât care for them though. Crimzon Clover is absolutely addictive, but I am lucky to make it to the third stage boss and survive. It is getting easier though, but still totally brutal when the laser beams start to spin fast and its puking out chunky blue orbs.
